Instructions for Installation and Care of Kawasaki Teryx Folding Lexan Windshield

NOTICE: Please check contents of package for any damage and make sure all parts fit correctly and you are happy with the product before removing protective film. Once the film is removed you cannot return the product for a full refund.

1. Check over the parts included in the carton with the parts list shown below:
   Lexan Windshield

   • 1-7/8” loom clamps 8 each
   • 1” stainless steel bolts 14 each
   • 1-1/4” stainless bolts 2 each
   • Stainless steel washers 26 each
   • Thumb nuts 8 each
   • Rubber gasket, 53’’ 1 each
   • Lexan windshield braces 2 each
   • Lexan windshield 1 piece

2. Take the windshield and all of the hardware out of the box. Begin by removing the protective film from the windshield braces and windshield. Install the upper and lower braces to the windshield as illustrated in fig. 1. The upper brace has a special shape; the lower brace is a consistent shape throughout. Ensure the upper brace is installed on the outside, and the lower brace is installed on the inside. All bolt heads should be facing the front, with the locknuts installed on the inside of the windshield. Use one flat washer each under the bolt heads and behind the locknuts.

3. Install the 53” rubber gasket provided along the bottom of the windshield. Take care to seat the gasket fully to the bottom edge contour.

4. Now you are ready to place the windshield on your Teryx. With help, place the windshield up on the hood, with the bent portion of the top of the windshield resting against the underside of the top roll cage tube. Now with someone else holding the windshield so that it does not slide off, install the clamps at the two upper slot locations on each side of the windshield per fig 2. At the two lower slots in the upper windshield, you will use the 1-1/4 bolt as per fig. 3. Fig. 4 explains the raised and lowered positions.

5. Enjoy, and remember- when cleaning the windshield do so gently at first with warm water and mild detergent to dislodge any grit that may scratch the Lexan. After rinsing and drying with a soft cloth, you may then polish the windshield with an appropriate commercially available plastic polish, also available from Falcon Ridge. This will ensure many seasons of clarity and keep scratching and swirling to a minimum. Never use cleaners such as Windex that contain ammonia as doing so may adversely affect the windshield.

6. If needed, additional Velcro sets are available, as well as other spare parts and hardware. Contact Falcon Ridge for information.

7. Transporting or trailering your UTV with the windshield installed is not generally recommended. It is best to remove the windshield before transporting your UTV.
