Your electric grass trimmer should always be used in accordance with this
manual.
This device is intended solely for mowing grass in private gardens. Any other
use not expressly permitted in these instructions may result in damage and may
pose a serious hazard to the user and is not permitted.
In particular, the unit must never be used :
- On steep land,
- On a rainy day or in a humid environment,
- From intensively,
- For children under 16,
- For unaccompanied minors.

Instructions for use
Unauthorized modification can make dangerous machine and lead to severe injury
during use. The manufacturer disclaims any liability in case of misuse or
failure to comply with the instructions and / or regulations in force.
Prepare the grass trimmer
CAUTION: Do not plug the machine to the power supply until you fully
assembled and set the machine.
Assembly the grass trimmer
- Unpack the unit carefully and make sure the cleanliness, the presence and condition of all parts. If in doubt, contact your dealer.
- Install the handle using the four screws provided.
- Adjust the front handle as shown in Fig 1 and Fig 2.
- Adjust the height of the telescopic tube as shown in fig 3.
Using the grass trimmer
Before using, always check the presence and correct operation of safety
devices. Also 0check the status of the cutting system and its attachment. If
necessary, replace or repair defective components. Use only original parts or
approved by Nakayama.
WARNING: Never work with a power cord damaged or excessively worn because
you might hurt yourself.
Starting the grass trimmer
- Fully unroll the power cord.
- Use cable hook on the upper handle to hang the cord to the machine Fig 4
- When cutting, make sure the extension cord is always behind you, on the side cut already.
- Hold the grass trimmer with both hands, the protection guard parallel to the floor and the unit close to the body without placing the product on the floor.
- Press the button on trigger with thumb, pull the trigger by holding tightly to start the machine.
Stop the grass trimmer
- Release the trigger switch to stop the machine
- The machine stops completely after a few seconds.
- Unplug the power socket for safety
Adjustment of cutting
Do the adjustment of the cutting when machine is stopped, unplugged.
Press the black button release spool as illustrated fig 5 while pulling both
wire on each side of the spool simultaneous-ly. Repeat several times if
necessary to have a length of the radius of the protection guard.
The cutting position could be adjusted by pressing the button per Fig. 6.
Using the grass trimmer as edging function
You can use your grass trimmer with the cutting head in a vertical position
using edge function (Fig. 7). To do this, you simply unlock the locking ring
from its normal position by pulling up the locking ring of the lower tube and
simultaneously turn one full turn the lower tube for a new lock (Fig.8).
Cleaning, maintenance, transportation and storage
CAUTION: All cleaning, transportation and maintenance must be done when machine stopped and unplugged.
Cleaning the grass trimmer
- After each use, remove the grass clippings under the guard.
- Regular cleaning after each use allows a better functioning and greater life of the trimmer.
- Maintain the surface of the unit with a soft damp cloth. Never clean plastic with a chemical that may damage.
CAUTION: Never immerse the of the trimmer electric wire in water or other liquids for cleaning. Never clean the unit with strong and high pressure or water.
Maintenance of grass trimmer
Apart from the regular cleaning, no special maintenance is required for this
machine.
Transport and storage of the grass trimmer
- Unplug the machine is essential for storage and transportation.
- Store your trimmer in a dry, temperate and dark. Put it in a place out of reach of children. .
- It is not advisable to cover the trimmer wire with a tarp because it could cause an accumulation of moisture on the device and cause damage to the electric motor.
