IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  •  Use the unit only as described in this operating manual.
  •  Make sure the mains voltage corresponds to the values on the rating plate of the charging adapter.
  •  Do not leave the unit unattended when switched on.
  • When disconnecting the charging adapter from the wall outlet, never pull the power cord. Grasp the plug and disconnect it by pulling.
  •  Do not allow children or unskilled people to handle the unit. Use the unit out of the reach of these individuals.
  •  Take extra care when using the unit near children.
  •  Don’t let anyone use the unit as a toy.
  • Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  •  Never use a charging adapter with a damaged power cord or plug. Contact an authorized service center immediately to have the defective components repaired or replaced.
  •  Keep the product away from heat sources such as radiators, ovens, etc. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight or moisture.
  •  Do not touch the unit with wet or damp hands.
  •  Do not insert any objects into the openings. Do not use the vacuum cleaner if any openings are obstructed.
  •  Extra care should be taken while vacuuming on stairs.
  •  If the suction inlet of the unit is obstructed, turn the unit off and remove the blockage before resuming operation.
  •  Turn the product off and disconnect the charging adapter from the mains outlet before installing accessories, performing maintenance, or in the case of any failure.
  •  The unit is suitable for domestic use only. It is not designed for commercial operation.
  •  Do not vacuum any burning objects such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ash.
  •  Do not use the unit in wet rooms. Do not vacuum wet objects, liquids, or flammable fluids such as gasoline. Do not use the vacuum cleaner in areas where such substances may be present.
  •  Never use the vacuum cleaner without filters. Before each use, make sure that the filters of the vacuum cleaner are installed properly.
  •  Do not immerse the power cord, charging adapter, or appliance into water or any other liquid.
  •  Check the appliance as well as the power cord of the charging adapter for damage regularly. Do not switch on a damaged unit.
  •  Turn the unit off and let it cool down before maintenance and after use.
  • Prior to vacuuming, it is necessary to remove large or sharp objects which could damage a fi lter of the vacuum cleaner from the surface to be cleaned.
  •  Do not use the unit if the fi lters are fouled.
  •  Do not discard the accumulator of the unit into the fi re or expose it to temperatures above 40 °C.
  •  Do not touch the driven moving parts while the unit is in operation.
  •  Do not repair the appliance yourself. Contact an authorized service center.
  • This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or mental impairments or by inexperienced persons if they are properly supervised or have been informed about how to use of the product in a safe manner and
    understand the potential dangers. Children must not play with the appliance.
    This appliance may be cleaned by children 8 years of age and older if they are properly supervised. Keep this appliance and the power cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years of age.

Failure to follow the manufacturer‘s instructions may lead to refusal of warranty repair.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM CLEANER
NOTE:
Always disconnect the plug of the charging adapter from the mains outlet prior to mounting or removing accessories!

  1. Inserting the portable part of the vacuum cleaner
    Insert the nozzle of the portable part into the stick part of the vacuum cleaner and push the portable part holder until you hear a clicking sound – which indicates that the correct position has been reached (Fig. 1). To release the portable part press both releasing buttons on the stick part of the vacuum cleaner simultaneously.

  2. Erecting the holder of the vacuum cleaner stick part
    Tilt out the holder of the vacuum cleaner stick part until you hear a clicking sound – which indicates that the correct position has been reached (Fig. 2).
    To fold press the releasing button on the holder of the vacuum cleaner stick part.

  3. Mounting the turbo brush
    Put the turbo brush on the lower end of the vacuum cleaner stick part until you hear a clicking sound – which indicates that the correct position has been reached (Fig. 3).
    To dismount the turbo brush press the releasing button on the lower end of the vacuum cleaner stick part.

CHARGING THE ACCUMULATOR

Prior to the first use or if the accumulator of the vacuum cleaner is fully discharged, let the vacuum cleaner charge for approximately 15 hours.
Connect the power cord and plug the charging adapter into the wall outlet.
If you want to keep the service life of the accumulator as long as possible, charge it only after it has been discharged completely.
The service life of the accumulator is approximately 300 charging cycles.
Note: The indicator light will flash once the device has made contact with the adaptor. The light will stay on once it is full charged.

USING THE VACUUM CLEANER

NOTE: Prior to using the vacuum cleaner, please make sure that the filters have been installed properly.

STICK VACUUM CLEANER

  1. Switch on the vacuum cleaner using the switch on the stick part
  2. After use, switch off the vacuum cleaner with the switch on the stick part

HAND-HELD VACUUM CLEANER

  1. Press the latches on the stick part (see 4) to detach the portable part of the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Switch the vacuum cleaner on using the switch on the portable part
  3. After use, release the switch on the portable part holder to switch the vacuum cleaner

Note: To vacuum areas with difficult access, the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner can be extended (Fig. 5). Use the latch on the lower side of the nozzle to push it back.

CHECKING THE DUST RECEPTACLE LEVEL

If the suction power of the vacuum cleaner drops or the dust receptacle is full, empty it and clean the filters of the vacuum cleaner.

MAINTENANCE

As a preventative measure, we recommend emptying the dust receptacle and cleaning the filters of the vacuum cleaner after each use.

EMPTYING THE DUST RECEPTACLE

  1. Disconnect the charging adapter from the power
  2. Detach the portable part of the vacuum cleaner from the stick
  3. Hold the portable part of the vacuum cleaner with the dust receptacle
  4. Press and hold the dust receptacle latch and turn the dust receptacle slightly to release it (Fig. 6).
  5. Remove both filters and empty the dust receptacle of the vacuum
  6. Reverse the steps to fit both filters and mount the dust receptacle back on the portable part of the vacuum

CLEANING AND REPLACING THE FILTERS

The filters of the vacuum cleaner can be cleaned by mechanical shaking and cleaning with a soft brush. Heavily fouled filters can be washed after this step and cleaned with a soft brush in lukewarm water. Do not use detergents.

It is important to let the wet parts dry thoroughly. Wet filters might be damaged if used for vacuuming!

Do not use a hair dryer for drying!

Note: Wet cleaning can cause more wear and tear of the filters, and a correspondingly shorter service life.

  • The filters should be cleaned or replaced whenever they are visibly fouled, or when the suction power decreases. The filters should be checked after each use of the vacuum
  • Never use the vacuum cleaner without properly installed filters to avoid damage to the

Suitable filter types are available at your local retailer, or they can be ordered from the manufacturer

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The vacuum cleaner and its accessories can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not immerse the power cord, charging adapter, or appliance into water or any other liquid. Do not use aggressive substances for cleaning, such as solvents or abrasives!

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Recycle packaging materials and old appliances rather than throwing them

Disposal of accumulators and battery cells

If an appliance contains an accumulator or a battery cell, these components contain substances that may damage the environment when decomposing. Prior to the appliance disposal or the accumulator or battery cell replacement, it is necessary to remove the original component and take it to a suitable designated collection yard.

WARNING!

An accumulator or battery cell:

  • Never throw into a fire!
  • Never disassemble it!
  • Never short-circuit its terminals!

Should an accumulator or battery cell leakage occur, the leaked solution is of an alkaline character. If your skin gets stained, rinse it immediately with soap and water and seek medical treatment.

To remove the accumulator, screw-off the cover on the lower side of the portable part. Disconnect the accumulator by separating the clamps or cutting the lead-in cables of the accumulator.
