When weight is over 999 g, units change to kilograms.
Change of units of weight and volume
The scale features three basic modes of weighing. Press the MODE button to
choose between weighing and measuring the volume of water and
milk.
In these modes, you can change the units of weight and volume between the
classic metric system (g > ml) and avoirdupois (lb: oz > fl´oz). Press the
UNIT button on the bottom side of the scale to switch the measuring system.
Press the MODE button repeatedly to change the units of weighing
in the following order:
- In the mode of the classic metric system g > ml (water) > ml (milk)
- In the mode of the avoirdupois lb: oz > fl‘oz (water) > fl’oz (milk)
Operation (weighing)
- Put the scale on a suitable flat surface (see I . SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ).
- Put the bowl on the scale before switching it on. Do not put things you want to weigh on the plate before you turn the appliance on!
- Press the button to turn on the scale (the display will show all symbols for about 2 seconds).
- When the display shows 0 , the appliance is ready for weighing.
- Pressing the MODE button, choose a mode in which you want to operate (WEIGHT-WATER VOLUME – MILK VOLUME). If you want to change weighing mode (g – lb: oz; ml – fl´oz), press UNIT.
- Place the weighed item in the bowl and wait for the value on the display to stabilize.
- After weighing, you may turn off the scale by pressing the button or the scale will turn off automatically after 120 seconds.

„ZERO“ OR „TARE“ FUNCTION
To weigh different loads consecutively without removing loads from the scale.
Put the first Load on the scale, and get the weight reading. Press the A5
button to reset the LCD reading to „0“ before adding the next load. Add
another item and the display will read the added weight.
You can repeat this operation. If all products are taken away from the
weighing plate, a negative value will appear on the display.
Note 1: „ZERO“ function
When the total sum of all loads on a scale ≤ 200 g, LCD will show „0“ each
time is pressed. Icon „O“ will show on the upper left corner of the LCD,
indicating the „ZERO“ function is active. Max. weight capacity remains
unchanged.
Note 2: „TARE“ function. If the total weight is > 200 g, the display
(after pressing the button) will show the icon “T” in the upper left corner of
the display, which indicates the activity of the „TARE“ mode. By pressing the
button in this mode, you will display the total amount of weights/volumes of
all items. If you wish to continue with TARE weighing, just press the button
again to reset the display to 0. The maximum capacity will decrease by the
total weight of all items.
Note:
After removing all items from the weighing surface, the display will show the
total number of weights/volumes with the “-“ mark.
Auto shut off
Auto shut-off occurs if the display shows ‚0‘ or shows the same weight reading
for 120 sec.
Exceeding the loading capacity of the scale
The maximum weight for a product weighing is 5 kg. The display will show Err
Error message in case the weight of the product on the plate exceeds 5 kg. It
means the product weight exceeds the loading capacity of the scale.
Attention
Remove the excessive weight product from the scales to avoid damage to the
appliance.
Error messages are shown on the scale display
- Lo — replace the batteries
- Err — scale overload, the weight exceeds 5 kg
If symptoms such as flashing of the display or erroneous indications appear, remove the scales away from disturbing sources (e.g. microwave oven) or turn off the source for the term of weighing.
MAINTENANCE
Clean the scale only after it has cooled down! Do not use coarse or aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp things, thinners, or other solvents)! Wipe the scale surface with a soft wet rag. All parts should be cleaned immediately after contact with fats, spices, vinegar, and strongly flavored/colored foods. Avoid contact with acid citrus juices. Never dry plastic moldings over a heat source (e.g. heater, electric/gas stove). Some food can color the accessories in some way.
