INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Dear customer, thank you for buying our product. Before putting the appliance into operation, read carefully these instructions for use and store this manual properly together with the certificate of warranty, a cash voucher and possibly with the package and the internal contents of the package.

SAFETY WARNING

  • Before the first use, read the instructions for use carefully, look at the picture and store the instructions for use for the future. Consider the instructions for use as a part of the appliance and pass them on to any other user of the appliance.

  • Never use the appliance if its power cord or plug is damaged, if it does not work properly, if it fell down and was damaged or if it fell to water. In this case take the appliance to a special service to check its safety and proper function.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  • The hair straightener must not be immersed into water or other liquids and it must not be used close to bathtubs, showers, wash basins or other water containers, including a swimming pool. If the straightener still falls into water, do not take it out! First of all unplug the power cord from the socket
    and only then take out the hair straightener. In this case take
    the appliance to a special service to check its safety and proper function.

  • If the hair straightener is used in a bathroom, it has to be disconnected from the electric power by unplugging the power cord from the socket because there is a risk close to water even if the hair straightener is off.

  • For additional protection we recommend installation of current protection (RCD) with the nominal release current not exceeding 30 mA. Ask a control technician or an electrician for advice.

  • If the power cord of the appliance is corrupted, it has to be replaced by the producer, its service technician or a similarly qualified person so as to prevent dangerous situations.

  • Always unplug the appliance from power supply if you leave it unattended and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.

  • Before replacing accessories or accessible parts, before assembly and disassembly, before cleaning or maintenance, turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains by pulling the power cord from the power socket!

  • Check whether the data on the type label correspond with the voltage in your socket. The power cord plug has to be connected to the properly connected and grounded socket according.

  • The appliance is intended for use in households only and for similar use! It is not designed for use in hair salons or for other commercial use!

  • Do not insert to or take the plug out of a socket with wet hands and do not pull the power cord!

  • Do not let the appliance in operation without supervision!

  • Do not put the hair straightener on hot heat sources (e.g. oven, stove, radiator).

  • No part of the appliance can get in contact with places sensitive to heat (e.g. eyes, ears, neck).

  • Take care when handling the appliance, try to prevent injury (e.g. burns). Heating plates are hot!

  • Any modification of the appliance surface (e.g. by means of self-adhesive wall-paper, foil etc.) is prohibited!

  • When the appliance is switched on for the first time, short and slight smoke can come out that does not mean any defect and it is not a reason for claiming a defect of the appliance.

  • Do not put the appliance into bodily holes.

  • If the hair straightener is stored at lower temperatures, first of all let its temperature adapt to the environment and thus you will maintain firmness of the plastic parts.

  • The hair straightener must not be used for styling wigs, hairpieces or artificial hair.

  • Hair straightener can be used for styling natural, coloured or bleached hair. But do not use it for styling hair that is treated with chemical substances (e.g. hairspray, styling agent, etc.), the temperature effect could be reduced due to sticking of chemical substances on the plates.

  • Also, do not put the hair straightener on soft and easily flammable surfaces (e.g. bed, towels, sheets, carpets); they could be damaged by hot parts of the appliance.

  • When handling the hair straightener, protect the power cord from contact with the hot surface of the plates or other sources of heat.

  • Switch off the hair straighteners right after its use, unplug it from power supply and let
    it cool down. Then put it on a safe dry place, out of reach of children.

  • Check the condition of the power cord of the appliance regularly.

  • Do not wind the power cord around the appliance; this will extend life of the power cord.

  • The power cord must not be damaged with sharp or hot objects, open fire, it must not be sunk into water or bent over sharp edges.

  • If you need to use an extension cord, it has to be uncorrupted and it has to comply with the valid standards.

  • Never use the appliance for any other purpose than for that described in these instructions for use!

  •  The producer does not undertake any responsibility for damage caused by improper use of the appliance and the accessories (e.g. food deterioration, injury by knife edge, fire, etc.) and its guarantee does not cover the appliance in the case of failure to comply with the safety warnings above.

Features of the device (pic. 1)

The basic version of the mixer 0046 includes propulsion unit, blending whisks, kneading hooks. The extended version of the mixer 1046 includes an submersible blender and accessory holder which serves for storing the propulsion unit and working attachments. The deluxe version of the mixer 2046 is extended by a stand with a turning bowl, a lid and a spatula.

  • A1 – release button
  • A2 – speed selector

  • A5 – sliding cover (for closing the blender, if it is not in use)
  • A6 – supply cord

B – stand

  • B1 – fold-out bracket
  • B2 – bracket arrest button
  • B3 – mixer arrest button

C – lid

  • C1 – feeding opening cover
  • D – turning bowl
  • E  – mixing whisks
  • F  – kneading hooks
  • G – submersible blender
  • H – holder
  • I – spatula

PREPARATION FOR USE

Remove all packing items and unpack the mixer and its accessories. Remove all possible adhesion foils, stick-on labels or paper from the appliance. Before using the appliance for the first time, wash all parts coming in contact with the food in hot water with a suitable detergent, rinse them thoroughly in clean water and wipe them or leave them to dry.

Use of the individual levels (A2, A3), (pic. 2)

  • 0 – off
  • 1 až 5 – speed selection (use for whisking, mixing, kneading).
  • MAX – the motor is running at max. power and is in operation the whole time the button
    A2 is pressed (for mixing). Submersible blender G may be turned on only with this button while the speed selector A2 must be in position 0!
**Stand (B)

Folding out the bracket – press the B2 button and fold out the bracket B1 (pic. 6). When folding back the bracket, press the B2 button again and the bracket will fold back to the stand, arrest itself (a click will sound).
Removing the propulsion unit – by pressing button B3, the arrest will be released  (pic. 4) it is possible to remove the propulsion unit A from the fold-out bracket B1.
Rotary bowl (D)- Place the rotary bowl in the stand B (Fig. 7). To remove the bowl, follow the above procedure in the reverse order
Attaching and removing the lid (C)
Put the lid onto the fold-out bracket B1 by sliding the protrusions on the lid into the protrusion in the fold-out bracket and pushing the lid all the way (pic. 5). Proceed reversely when removing the container.
Feeding opening cover (C1)
Sliding the cover aside, the feeding opening can be used to add liquid or solid ingredients in the bowl D while the propulsion unit A is running.
Holder (H)
The holder is deigned to hold the mixer and tools. Fit the holder on the wall using the supplied dowels and screws. Make sure that there is no electric, telephone, plumbing fitting under the plaster at the place of mounting the holder.

USING ACCESSORIES

Take please the following tips for examples and inspiration. Rather than giving instructions, the aim is to show different ways how to process food. The processing times are never longer than a few minutes. It is advisable to break work from time to time, switch the appliance OFF (the 0 setting) and clean any sticking food off the tolls or the bowl or lid (see please I. SAFETY WARNING).

Whipping beaters (E)

Use: to beat or whip egg whites, cream sauces, cream, pastry, puree, etc. Never use the whipping beaters for mixing tough substances such as yeast dough.
Inserting: their reciprocal position is designated by a symbol on the bottom part of the propulsion unit (pic. 3). Insert the whisks into respective openings A4 in the bottom part of the propulsion unit all the way. Release the whisks by pressing the release button A1 (pic. 2).

Kneading hooks (F))

Use: spread processing, mashing potatoes, spinach, mixing dough etc.
Inserting: their reciprocal position is designated by a symbol on the bottom part of the propulsion unit (pic. 3). Insert the hooks into respective openings A4 in the bottom part of the propulsion unit all the way. The hooks can not be exchanged is not possible because the ingredients would get pushed out of the bowl. Release the hooks by pressing the release button A1 (pic. 2).

Caution
After 5 minutes of uninterrupted work, leave the motor unit to cool down for a few minutes. Also a single beater or kneader can be used to process food. The tools can be disengaged only with the speed setting switch A2 in position 0.

Dip blender (G)

Use: to mix or blend any type of fluid, mayonnaise, diet and baby food, etc. in a suitable dish or bowl.
Inserting: slide away the cover A5 (pic. 8), screw the blender G into an opening in the propulsion unit A. When removing the blender from the propulsion unit, proceed reversely.

Stand with rotary bowl (B, D)

Use: for whipping or blending without the need for holding the motor unit in your hand.
Attaching: place the stand B on a flat working surface. Fasten the desired accessory E or F into the propulsion unit A (pic. 3). Place the blender on the bracket B1 so that the toothing on the accessory fits into the toothing in the fold-out bracket (pic. 4) and then push the blender into the protrusion in the bracket all the way (a click will sound). Slide the lid C on the bracket (pic. 5). Fold out the bracket B1 (pic. 6) and insert the bowl D into the stand along with the ingredients to be processed (pic. 7) fold the bracket back only after its arrest has been clicked in.

Storing the appliance and accessories
After finishing work, switch the mixer OFF and unplug the power cord plug A6 off the mains. Place the mixer A and its accessories E, F, G, I in holder H (Fig. 9).
Store the appliance after cleaning at a dry, dustfree and safe place, out of reach of children and incapacitated people.

MAINTENANCE

Unplug the appliance from power supply by taking the fork of the power cord out of the socket! Do not use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, scrapers, diluting agents or other solvents)! Clean the propulsion unit A with a
damp cloth and soap. Make sure that water does not get to the inner parts. Wash other accessory immediately after use in hot water with soap, rinse in clean water and wipe dry (you can use a dish washer – not for blender G). The end with the blender G shaft must not be immersed during cleaning.
Work very carefully when cleaning the blending attachment G. Pay attention that the cutting edges of the accessories do not come in contact with hard objects which blunt them and thus decrease their efficiency.
Some additives may cause the accessories to colour. This has no adverse effect over the appliance operation and any such colouring is likely to disappear with time. Never dry any plastic parts over a direct source of heat (such as the stove or gas or electric ring).

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

If the dimensions allow, there are labels of materials used for production of packing, components and accessories as well as their recycling on all parts. The symbols specified on the product or in the accompanying documentation mean that the used electrical or electronic products must not be disposed of together with municipal waste. For proper disposal, hand them over at the special collection places where they will be accepted free of charge. Suitable disposal of the product can help to maintain valuable natural resources and to prevent possible negative impacts on the environment and human health, which could be the possible consequences of improper waste disposal. Ask for more details at the local authorities or at a collection site. Fines can be imposed for improper disposal of this type of waste in agreement with the national regulations. If the appliance is to be put out of operation for good, after disconnecting it from power supply we recommend cutting off the power cord and in this way it will not be possible to use the appliance again.
More extensive maintenance or maintenance requiring intervention in the inner parts of the appliance must be carried out by professional service! Failure to comply with the instructions of the manufacturer will lead to expiration of the right to guarantee repair!
