SAFETY ADVICE FOR CO2 CARBONATORS

  • Prevent children and incapable persons from using the appliance without supervision!

  • Only use intact, tight (with intact valve) carbonators designed for the appliance.
The appliance may get damaged if other carbonators are used.

  • The carbonator contains CO2 (carbon dioxide) and it is pressurized. Observe the instructions of the carbonator producer when handling and storing carbonators (store in a dry, cool and well ventilated place, out of reach of children and incapable persons).

  • Do not adjust the carbonator, do not remove the valve and do not open the carbonator by force and never throw it in the fire.

  • Protect the carbonator from impact and fall, sources of heat radiation (e.g. stove, electric/gas cooker, hot plate, grill etc.) or direct sunlight and from heating above the temperature of 50 °C.

  • The carbonator is equipped with a safety valve that releases the gas from the carbonator in case of an increase in pressure (e.g. when heated). If such a situation occurs, do not touch the carbonator; let the gas leak. A fast CO2
leak causes rapid cooling of the carbonator.
Wait until the temperature of the carbonator reaches the ambient temperature.

  • Protect the carbonator from frost (-40oC), do not use frozen carbonators. The appliance may get damaged or the person operating it may get injured (e.g. frost burn) if frozen carbonator is used.

  • Ambient temperature is suitable for the application of the carbonator in the appliance. If the carbonator is cooled down (e.g. due to transportation or storage), let it reach the ambient temperature prior to installation.

  • The carbonator is only designed for CO2 filling (food gas).

  • The carbonator may only be refilled by an authorized organization.

SAFETY ADVICE FOR THE PET BOTTLE

  • Do not use a bottle that is deformed, cracked or scratched or that has changed colour or lost transparency or tightness. Observe the durability of the bottle; the date is printed on the side of the bottle. Do not use the bottle after the use by date! Dispose of the bottle ecologically and replace it with a new one.
  • Regularly check that the sealing in the cap of the bottle is not worn out or damaged.
  • Prevent contact of the bottle and the cap with aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. alcohol, diluents or ammoniac) as they may cause damage (e.g. deformation).
  • Do not wash the bottle or the cap in the dishwasher (unless such a cleaning method is permitted by a symbol on the bottle).
  • Do not expose the bottle to temperatures below 1 oC and above 40 oC and protect it from sources of heat (e.g. stove, electric/gas= cooker, hot plate, grill etc.) or direct sunlight.
  • Never place the bottle in the freezer as it may cause damage (e.g. cracking) to the bottle and do not store the bottle in a car.
  • The bottle is not designed for heating liquids in a microwave oven.
  • Do not open the bottle by force and do not adjust the surface of the bottle in any way (e.g. using self-adhesive foil, stickers, paper or heat insulation).
  • If the bottle is exposed to some vibrations (e.g. during transportation), unscrew the cap slowly. It eliminates excessive gas and prevents spraying of the drink when opening the bottle.
  • Never point the PET bottle neck at a face or other parts of your or other person’s body.
  • The bottle is only designed for cold or warm filling (max. 40 °C) of pure drinking water and syrup. The water level must be within the Min and Max marks.
  • Rinse (at least five times) the bottle and the cap well prior to the first use, e.g. in hot water with soap or disinfectant, subsequently rinse with clean water and air dry.
  • Always prepare fresh water or store water in the refrigerator.
  • The water must not exceed the maximum filling level of 0.9 litres when filling the bottle.
  • Always carbonate the water with carbon dioxide first and then add a syrup, ice or crushed ice of your choice. Otherwise, the bottle may overflow.

PREPARATION OF THE APPLIANCE

Remove all packaging and take the appliance and all accessories out. Remove all adhesive foils, stickers or paper from the appliance and its accessories.

Place the appliance on an even and dry surface (e.g. kitchen table), at the minimum height of 85 centimetres, out of reach of children (see I.SAFETY ADVICE).
Prior to the first use, wash the parts that come in contact with food in warm water with soap and rinse them thoroughly with clean water, dry with a kitchen towel or air dry. The appliance is now ready to be used.

Installation and Removal of the CO2 Carbonator (Fig. 2, 3, 4, 5)

Installation and Removal of the CO2 Carbonator Installation and Removal of
the CO2 Carbonator

Place the appliance on the front or side for easier manipulation. Press the arresting button A6 on the bottom side of the appliance and then remove the back cover A4. Remove the protective cap (seal) from the pressure bottle C (carbonator). Insert the carbonator into the opening and turn it around (anticlockwise) so that the valve gets screwed in the holder A8. Apply reasonable force (lightly) to tighten the carbonator. Insert the cover behind the top part of the appliance and fasten it with a click. Proceed in reverse order to remove the carbonator from the appliance.

ATTENTION

  • Check that the carbonator valve is not damaged.
  • Check that sealing is inserted in the holder and that it is not damaged or worn out.
  • Do not use any tools to install the carbonator (e.g. keys, pliers).
  • Do not apply excessive force to tighten the carbonator to prevent gas leak.

Installation and Removal of the PET Bottle (Fig. 7, 8, 11)

Installation and Removal of the PET Bottle

Unscrew the cap B1. For easier manipulation, push down the control A2 and tilt out the holder with the nozzle. Slide the neck of the bottle B on the nozzle A3 until it fits in the holder A7 and then apply reasonable force to turn the bottle (clockwise) as far as it goes. Pull the bottle lightly to check that it is properly attached. Then release the inclination control. Proceed in reverse order to remove the bottle from the appliance.

ATTENTION

  • Check that the bottle is not visibly damaged.
  • Do not use any tools to install the bottle (e.g. pliers).

USE OF THE APPLIANCE (Fig. 2 – 12)

Installation and Removal of the CO2 Carbonator USE OF THE
APPLIANCE

Place the appliance on a dry and even surface. Install the CO2 carbonator correctly (see minstructions above). Fill up the PET bottle with chilled, clean drinking water up to the level marked with MAX. Attention: Do not add any syrup concentrate, ice or crushed ice in the water! Install the PET bottle to the appliance correctly (see instructions above). Check that the end of the nozzle A3 is immersed in water. Press the button PUSH A1 shortly and firmly (for max. 2 seconds) to apply carbon dioxide. Then slowly release the button.
The carbonation of water with CO2 is accompanied by a characteristic sound – “soft sizzling” (i.e. letting out excess gas and pressure equalization). This is perfectly normal and does not constitute a reason to complain about the appliance. Press the button once or twice for standard carbonated water. Remove the bottle from the soda maker and screw the cap B1 on the bottle. You can either consume the prepared drink right away or store it in the refrigerator.

You can use the following chart as a help with determining the approximate level of
carbonation of water with CO2:

Batch Water carbonation level
1 press lightly carbonated water
2 presses medium carbonated water
3 presses strongly carbonated water

The 0.45 kg CO2 carbonator (in relation to the intensity of carbonation) prepares
approximately 85 litres of sparking water.

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Cold water (approx 7 °C) is the most suitable water for carbonation because it better absorbs carbon dioxide. We recommend storing the water in the refrigerator prior to carbonation. You can purchase another PET bottle for this purpose.

  • The more often you press the button PUSH A1, the more carbonated the water will be.

  • Do not press the button PUSH A1 for a long time and in very short intervals (the water may leak from the appliance). Wait for about 5 – 10 seconds between individual presses so that the CO2 mixes with water well. The button must always be released slowly

  • The carbonated water will stay in a well closed bottle for about 2 – 3 days.

  • The appliance is equipped with a system of automated drainage of excessive carbonated water (e.g. in case of overfilling the bottle with CO2 ) using the drainage outlets A5. Therefore certain amount of water may appear under the soda maker. This is perfectly normal and does not constitute a reason to complain about the appliance.
Check the soda maker after each use and wipe off any water.

  • The carbonator is empty when no gas is released into the bottle from the nozzle when the button PUSH A1 is pressed. In such a case, remove the empty carbonator and replace it with a new one. Do not dispose of the empty carbonators (i.e. do not throw them away). The weight of the empty and full carbonator is stated on the carbonator packaging.

Mixing Sodas (Fig. 13, 14, 15)

Mixing Sodas Mixing
Sodas Mixing Sodas

To prepare tasty soda or drink, we recommend using Kofola syrups. Add the required amount of the selected syrup in the bottle with carbonated water. Screw the cap and turn the bottle upside down once to mix the drink. You can either consume the drink right away or store it in the refrigerator.

ATTENTION

  • Always add syrups in water that has been carbonated; otherwise there is a risk of foaming and overflowing.
  • Do not shake the bottle! It releases the carbon dioxide from the water.
  • Follow the recommended instructions of the producer when batching the syrup; use it according to your taste.
  • Do not use syrups after the use by date (expiration date). Store syrups in a cool and dark place (see the instructions of the producer on the syrup packaging).

MAINTENANCE

MAINTENANCE

Do not use abrasive and aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. sharp objects, alcohol,
chemical solvents, diluents, ammoniac, caustic agents etc.). Wipe off the interior and exterior and with a damp cloth after each use.

Wash all accessories (PET bottle and cap) in warm water (max 40 °C) with soap (or
suitable disinfecting agent) immediately after use and rinse with pure drinking water.
Do not install the cap on the bottle if you are not going to make another drink right away.
Store the bottle and the cap separately so that they can dry well. Some food can colour the accessories in some way. However, this does not affect the function of the appliance and it is not a reason for a claim. This colouring usually disappears after some time. Never dry plastic mouldings over a heat source (e.g. heater, electric/gas stove).

Gasket Replacement
By means of a suitable tool (e.g. a narrow screwdriver, needle), remove the gasket from the holder A8. Put the new, spare gasket A9 back so that it fits in the groove in the holder along the entire perimeter.

Storage
Store the appliance on a dry place, out of reach of children and persons sui juris.

ATTENTION

  • Make sure that the contact areas and sealing elements are clean and functional.
  • The drainage outlets A5 must be passable; do not adjust it in any way (e.g. by capping).
