INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE (Fig. 1)
Remove all the packing material and take out the electric kettle with the
stand. Remove all possible adhesion foils, stick-on labels, or paper from the
appliance. Before the first use, fill the electric kettle with clean water to
the maximum level, turn it on and let the water boil.
Then pour out the water and repeat the procedure several times (at least five
times).
Unwind the necessary length of the power cord B2 from the storage space of
stand B. Place the stand on a suitable surface and plug the fork of the power
cord into the electric socket. Hold the kettle A on the handle A3. Open the
lid A4 by pressing the lock button A5 (Fig. 2). Fill the kettle with drinking
water. The maximum amount of water is marked on the water gauge A2. Close the
lid by snapping (Fig. 3). Put the electric kettle on the stand.
Press the respective button A1 according to the required water temperature
(you will hear a sound signal = 1 beep and the control light will be
flashing). When the water reaches the set temperature, the heating stops, and
the appliance is switched off „automatically“ (you will hear a sound signal =
3 beeps, and the control light will be on without interruption). Before
reaching the set water temperature, the appliance can be switched off
„manually“ by repeatedly pressing the respective button A1 (the control light
will go out). Always use fresh drinking water for boiling.
Water temperature setting (Fig. 1)
With switches A1, you can set the required temperature of water heating. The
temperature and time of heating depending on the amount of water and the
initial temperature of the water. For the correct temperature setting, follow
the manufacturers‘ instructions that are described on food packages (e.g. tea,
coffee, instant drinks, soaps, etc.). The required water temperature choice
and the kettle switch-on you can do by pressing one of four temperature
buttons. Please consider the following tips as examples and inspiration, the
purpose of which is not to provide instructions, but to show various
possibilities of preparing substances. Water temperatures are only approximate
and may vary according to personal taste, quantity, type, quality, and age of
the used tea, coffee, etc.
– 70 °C = green tea,
– 80 °C = white tea,
– 90 °C = oolong teas, coffee, instant drinks, soups,
– BOIL, approx. 100 °C = black and herbal teas and other teas.
Notes:
– After placing the kettle on the stand, you will hear a sound signal (1 beep)
and all control lights on the buttons will be gradually switched on for a
short time. When the lights go out, the kettle is ready for use.
– You can change the selected water temperature during heating by pressing
another button for setting the temperature.
– During water heating, control lights on buttons are switched on gradually
when the temperature marked on them was reached.
– If you do not take the kettle off the stand after heating switches off
automatically, control lights with the temperature, to which water cools down,
will be switched on gradually. If water is cooled down to a temperature lower
than 70 °C, no control light will be on.
– The control lights will remain switched off although the water in the kettle
is still hot (over 70 °C) if you placed the kettle on the stand after its
previous automatic switching off. TAKE CARE YOU DO NOT GET BURNED.
– If we need a lower water temperature than the one that the water in the
kettle was just heated to, press the button of the required temperature (the
control light of the reached temperature is on without interruption and the
control light of the required temperature will be flashing). As soon as the
water in the kettle cools down to this temperature, you will
hear a sound signal = 3 beeps, the control light of the previous temperature
goes out and the control light of the required temperature will be on without
interruption. The same happens even if you enter a requirement for a change
from lower to higher water temperature.
– This appliance is not calibrated for commercial or scientific purposes.
Water temperature can differ by +/- 5 °C in dependence on the selected
temperature.
– If a smaller amount of water is heated in the kettle than the recommended
0.5 liters, the difference between the reach and the set temperatures can be
even higher.
MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance from the power supply by taking the fork of the power
cord out of the socket! Clean the kettle only when it is cooled down! Do not
use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, scrapers, diluting
agents, or other solvents)! The casing of the electric kettle and the heating
bottom are made of top-quality stainless steel, but in common use, impurities
from water get stuck on them (water scale), particularly above the heating
element. It is not rust or another material defect of the kettle container.
Cleaning the kettle
Pour about 50 g of citric acid into the kettle with the water scale sediment.
Fill the kettle to about one-half and mix. After it dissolves, fill the kettle
with 3/4 of the maximum amount of water. Place the electric kettle on the
stand and turn it on. Before boiling, turn off the kettle, let the solution
take effect for about 10 minutes and then pour it out. Clean the kettle
thoroughly with clean water. Repeat the whole procedure if the kettle is too
soiled. Clean the electric kettle regularly!
Cleaning the sieve (A6)
Take the sieve from the kettle. Clean it from possible sediments in running
water using a fine brush. Then put the sieve back in the opposite way.
