IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Use the unit only as described in this operating manual.
- Remove all the covering and marketing materials from the unit before the first use.
- Make sure the mains voltage corresponds to the values stated on the product’s rating plate.
- The unit reaches high temperatures during operation and remains hot for some time after being turned off.
- Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the handles and buttons.
- There is a risk of being burned.
- The unit may not be cleaned, stored, or covered until it has cooled down completely.
- Do not put the unit on its side during operation.
- Close supervision is necessary when the unit is on or plugged into the socket.
- Never carry the unit during operation or while hot.
- Do not carry the unit by the power cord.
- Never pull the cord to disconnect the plug from the socket hold the plug instead.
- The appliance is not intended for and should not be accessible to children or people with reduced capabilities.

- Bread may ignite when using the unit, keep a sufficient space around and above the unit to ensure sufficient air circulation.

- Do not put any of these materials on top of the unit.
- Do not use the unit without the removable crumb tray.
- The tray shall be cleaned regularly.
- Do not allow crumbs to accumulate on the tray.

- Do not use knives, forks, or any other metal kitchen implements for removing toast or crumbs.
- These could cause a fire or a short-circuit.

- Do not insert excessively big pieces of food into the unit.
- Do not prepare any food containing jam or marmalade in the unit.
- Do not take the food out during operation. In case you need to take it out, switch the unit off by pressing the STOP button.
- Do not use abrasive or chemically aggressive substances to clean the unit.
- Do not use the unit if it does not operate properly, if it has been dropped, damaged or exposed to any liquids.
- Take the unit to an authorised service centre for testing and repair.
- Never use the appliance if the supply cord or plug is damaged.
- Immediately refer to an authorised service centre for repair.
- The unit is not designed for outdoor use.
- The appliance is intended for domestic use only, not for commercial use.
- When unplugging the unit from the wall outlet, make sure the unit has been turned off bread lowering lever in the upper position then disconnect the plug from the wall outlet.
- Never operate the appliance with wet hands.
- Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Use manufacturer-recommended accessories only.
- Do not try to repair the appliance; instead, refer to an authorised service centre.
Failure to follow the manufacturer‘s instructions may lead to refusal of warranty repair.
WARNING
Never try to remove wedged bread using a knife or any other tool. Touching the
live parts with these objects may cause an electric shock. Unplug the unit
from the mains, let it cool down, and remove the bread carefully.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Caution
Prior to using a new unit, wipe the surface with a wet cloth and wash the
crumb tray in warm water for hygienic reasons. Do not insert any bread into
the unit, set the longest toasting time toasting time selector at position 6,
and turn on the unit. Repeat this process five times. The unit may emit a
slight smell and smoke, which should disappear after a while. Air the room
well during this process.
Toasting bread
- Uncoil the supply cable.
- Connect the power cord plug to the wall outlet.
- Insert two slices of white or other bread to be toasted into the slots (1).
- Set the required toasting time using selector(3).
- Positions 1 – 6 corresponding to the required toasting level 1 = lightest, 6 = darkest.
- The toasting time should be set according to the user’s personal taste and the type and freshness of the bread used.
- If you are using the unit for the first time, we recommend selecting position 3 or 4.
- Lower the bread into the toasting slots by pressing the lever 2 downwards until it clicks and remains in this position.
- The unit turns on.
Note
If the unit is not connected to the mains, the lowering lever will not remain
in the lowered position. Finished toast is ejected automatically after the
selected toasting time expires. If you want to stop toasting before the
selected time elapses, press the STOP button (4). Unplug the unit from the
mains after you finish toasting. The unit reaches high temperatures during
operation and remains hot for some time after being turned off. Do not touch
the hot surfaces, use handles and buttons. Storing the unit
Unplug the unit from the mains after use, let it cool down and store it in a
safe and dry place. The supply cable can be wound to the holder placed
underneath.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING
Before cleaning the unit, always disconnect the power cord from the wall
outlet. Prior to handling, make sure the unit has cooled down. The surface of
the unit may only be cleaned using a wet cloth. Do not use any detergents or
hard objects, as they may damage the unit’s surface. Remove the crumb tray,
empty it, and install it back into the unit before the next toasting
operation. Do not let crumbs accumulate in the lower section of the unit. If
crumbs remain inside the toaster, turn it upside down and remove crumbs by
slight knocking. Never clean the unit under running water, do not rinse it,
and do not submerge it in water!
REPAIR & MAINTENANCE
Any extensive maintenance or repair that requires access to the inner parts of the product must be performed by an expert service centre.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
- Packaging materials and obsolete appliances should be recycled.
- The transport box may be disposed of as sorted waste.
- Polyethylene bags shall be handed over for recycling.
