  3. Large cast-iron burner (ø 185 mm)

  5. Operating light

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

NOTE
Prior to using a new unit, wipe it with a wet cloth for hygienic reasons.
Then operate the cooktop on idle for 20 minutes with the temperature control knob set to “MAX”. The unit may emit a slight smell and smoke, which should disappear after a while. Air the room well during this process.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place the unit on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from other heat sources.

  2. Extend the entire supply cable. Make sure it is not in contact with any heat sources. Insert the plug into the mains outlet.

  3. Put a pot onto a burner and set the required temperature using the control knob (0 – MAX). The higher the number, the higher the burner temperature.
The heating indicator will be illuminated (Fig. 1). Once it turns off, the plate has reached the preset temperature.

  4. As soon as the food starts to boil, turn down the control knob so that it will keep the food simmering.
Note: No preheating is necessary to cook as the burners are fast heating.
Never leave the burners on without a pot on them (except for the very first operation).

  5. Make sure to set the temperature control knob to “0” when cooking is completed.

  6. Disconnect the cooktop from the power supply.

Energy-saving tips

  • Pots should have a flat base
Use fairly heavy-duty and flat-bottomed pots. An uneven bottom extends the cooking time.

  • Matching pot diameter
Use suitable pots for each burner size. The pots should match the heat area exactly, or be slightly larger in diameter.
Note: Realize that the manufacturers often mark a pot with the upper diameter, although the bottom is smaller.

  • Matching pot size
Use a small pot for a small food volume. A larger pot consumes more energy, even if half-empty.

  • Use a pot lid
Use lids to cover pots and pans. Cooking without a lid increases the energy consumption.

  • Water volume
Use the smallest volume of water necessary. This way, you can save energy. Also, your food will retain vitamins and minerals.

  • Lowering the temperature
Lower the cooktop temperature in due time.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the unit after each use to prevent the accumulation of grease, burned-on remnants of food, and unpleasant smells.
Turn the unit off, disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet, and allow the unit to cool before cleaning.

Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or appliance in water or any other liquid.
Clean the surface with a wet cloth.
Do not use steel wool, abrasive agents or solvents to clean the unit.
