Quick Installation Manual

Connecting the communicator to the alarm panel

  • (+) 12VDC Power Supply
  • – Ground
  • Green: IN1 (Alarm)
  • Yellow: IN2 (Status Armed/Disarmed)
  • White: IN3 (Tamper)
  • Orange :  OUT1 (for the optional remote Arming/Disarming feature)

WARNING:
The wiring should be done only when the panel and the communicator are disconnected from the powerline

  • Connect + and-of the communicator to 12V-15V DC power supply
  • Connect the antenna to the device and place the antenna outside of the alarm panel’s box
  • The digital inputs of the MiNi01-31 device are activated by ground. Therefore, you should wire them to PGM outputs of the panel that switch to ground.

LED Indicator

  • Slow flashing – trying to establish connection
  • Constantly On – connection established at good signal level
  • Constantly On, blinking every 10 secs – connection established at low signal level
  • Fast flashing -transferring data

Changing the Contact ID events reported by the digital inputs
The digital inputs of MiNi01-31 are already preconfigured to report Status, Alarm and Tamper events. However, the digital inputs are freely programmable – you can change the Contact ID messages for each digital input, if needed. You can also configure if the input should be normally closed or normally opened.

You can do these advanced settings from the Control Administrative website. Please refer to the Advanced Installation Manual.

Events reporting to end users via a smartphone

  • Download the R Control mobile application on your Android or iOS from the links below
  • Login with the end user credentials provided within this installation manual
  • It is recommended to change the User name and Password after the first login

With the Control mobile application the end user can:

  • Monitor the current status of the alarm panel
  •  View events log up to one year back in time
  • Remotely Arm/Disarm the alarm system (optional)

Remote Arming/Disarming (Optional)
To enable the optional remote Arming/Disarming from smartphone, please configure the alarm panel according to the following guidelines:

  • Configure a momentary keys itch (refer to the panel’s installer manual)
  • Wire the OUT1 of the communicator to the momentary keys itch of the panel
  • Configure a PGM output of the panel to activate (switch to ground) when the panel is armed and to deactivate when disarmed (refer to the panel’s installer manual)
  • Wire that PGM to the IN2 of the communicator
  • The end user has to enable the Remote Arming/Disarming from the Settings menu of the Control mobile application. This can also be done by the installers from their Control Installer Account

Initial pairing procedure:

  • Enable Open/Close reporting (at least during the initial pairing procedure)
  • Enable the Arming/Disarming feature from the Settings menu of the Control mobile app
  • Ask the end user to enter a Remote PIN code of their choice
  • Disarm (or Arm) from the keypad within 2 minutes to complete the pairing
