Introduction
Pro DMX pixel converter
Welcome to Euro lite! Your new DMX converter is part of Euro lite’s DXT series, which consists of high-performance and reliable DMX tools made in Germany. The converter can control up to 18,000 digital LED pixels with a DMX512 signal. It uses a 3-pin XLR plug (Neutrik) as well as 3-pin and 4-pin JST connectors for the LEDs. The LEDs can be controlled 1:1 or can be grouped together.

- Supported LED types: WS2801, WS2811, WS2812, etc. (all standard 800 kHz types)
- Does not require a separate adapter – power supply is via LED strip (5-12 V)
- Configuration via software tool (Windows) and the Eurolite USB-DMX adapter (item 51860118)
Package content
Remove the product and all the accessories from the packaging. Remove the packaging material and check that all components are complete and undamaged. If you find anything missing or damaged, please contact your dealer.

Connections

OMX512 input
3-pin XLR plug to connect the DMX control signal -
3-pin connector, male
Connector for LED stripes which require DATA signals only:- Red: 5-12 V positive pole
- Geen: DATA output
- Black: negative pole

Connector for LED stripes which require both DATA and CLOCK signals:- Red: 5-12 V positive pole
- Yellow: CLOCK output
- Green: DATA output
- Back: negative pole
Getting started
DMX512 connection
Connect your lighting desk or controller to the XLR plug.
LED connection
Connect your digital LEDs to the DATA and if necessary with CLOCK pins.
Power supply of the converter
Connect the positive and negative poles to the DC power supply of the LEDs.
The voltage is only allowed between 5 and 12 V.
Power supply of the LEDs
Establish the power supply for the LEDs as its manufacturer suggests. The
converter is now ready to use.
Configuration.
Software download
The converter can be configured under Windows with the “Pixel Converter Config Tool“ utility program. Visit the product page at www.euroIite.de to download the software. The software requires no installation steps. You can simply open it by double- clicking on “Pixel Converter Config Tool.exe“.
Connection to a computer
Connect the DMX converter via a Eurolite USB-DMX interface (item no. 51860118) to your PC. Ensure that the interface is recognized and the correct driver is installed. Power the DMX converter with an LED strip
User interface
Connecting the converter
Open the program and use the button (1) to list all connected COM devices in
(2). Select the correct port in (2) and click “Connect” (3)
Settings
The following settings can be made:
- DMX start address(4): 1 to 512
- colors per LED (5): 1 to 6
- Virtual pixel length (6): from 1 to maximum LED number(multiple LEDs are grouped together form a virtual pixel)
- Refres rate (7): DMX(data transmission on DMX packet), 40 Hz, 20 Hz, 10 Hz, S Hz
The following table lists the maximum LED number. Note that it is possible to display up to 512 different brightness levels at one time

The factory defaults are: start address: 1, segment length: 1, colors: 3,
refresh rate: DMX
To upload your current setting to the device, select “configure device” (8). A
successful transmission is confirmed by a message box.
You can test your configuration with the sliders (9). There are 10 channels
available, which are offset with the start address (4)
Loading/ saving configurations
Button (10) loads the configuration from the device.
With the buttons (11) and (12) you can save the current settings to a file or
load them from it.
Viewing information
Button (13) shows the version of the configuration program.
Changing the language
Use the flag buttons (14) to select your prefered language.
Disconnecting the converter
To quit the configuration, click the disconnect button (15).
