Instruction Manual

This device records the electrical energy consumed by the measuring equipment. The device must not be subjected to overload, otherwise, it may be destroyed. Use is only permitted indoors and in dry environments. Outdoor use is strictly prohibited! Always observe the instructions and data on the technical label of the connected appliance. Using the appliance in a manner other than that described above may lead to its destruction and may involve risks such as short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. The equipment must not be rebuilt or modified. The equipment is intended for informative measurement only.

SAFETY INFORMATION

  1. We recommend using the device only in a dry place indoors.
  2. The meter can only be used within the maximum load power range.
  3. If the product is damaged in transit, please contact the dealer for replacement.
  4. Keep the power meter out of the reach of children.
  5. Do not disassemble the power meter yourself, otherwise the product may be damaged or safety may be compromised.

DEVICE CONTROL

ON/OFF
• You can switch the device on/off anytime and anywhere as long as your mobile phone and the meter are connected to the internet. Even if the meter loses its internet connection, you can still control it via Bluetooth or a button.
GROUPS
• Click the edit icon in the top right corner to edit device information or create a group (if you have multiple devices). You can turn multiple devices on/off at the same time using the group control function.
TIMER SETTING (schedule)
• With the time scheduling function, you can automatically switch the device on and off.
COUNTDOWN SETTING (countdown)
• With the countdown function, you can switch the device on/off at a set time.

INSTALLING THE MOBILE APP

  1. You can search for the “Smart Life” app in the Apple App Store, Google Play, or scan the QR code and install it.
  2. Open the “Smart Life” app and click on the “Register” button.
  3.  Enter your email address or phone number and click “Get Verification Code “.
  4. Enter the verification code you receive and the system will create an account for you.
  5. If you already have a “Smart Life” account, enter your account number and click the “Sign In” button.
    The free “Smart Life” app supports devices running iOS 8.0 and above or Android 4.4 and above.

ADD DEVICE

  1. Turn on WiFi, Bluetooth, and mobile phone location.

  2. Connect the smart socket to the power source, press and hold the button for more than 5
    seconds until the light starts flashing rapidly.

  3. Launch the “Smart Life” app, click on the “+” in the top right corner and select “Socket (BLE+WiFi)”.

  4. Check that the indicator is blinking as instructed in the app and click “Confirm the indicator is blinking”, then click “Next”.

  5. Select the correct Wi-Fi, enter your password, and then click “Next”.
    (The power meter only supports 2.4Ghz, it does not support 5GHz).

  6. Select the added power meter, which the system will find automatically.

  7. After successfully adding the smart plug, click the “Finish” button.

VOICE CONTROL
You can control the Smart Socket with your voice via Google Home or Amazon Alexa.

  1. Sign in to your Google Home or Amazon Alexa account.
  2. Find the “Smart Life” or “Tuya Smart” app and open it.
  3. Once you have successfully linked your app account to your voice platform account, you can control the smart socket using the voice assistant.

SAFETY MEASURES

Information for use
The following equipment must not be connected to the power meter:
1. Devices exceeding the technical value of the power meter (→ technical parameters).
2. Do not use the remote control plug outdoors, near dripping water or in wet rooms (bathrooms, etc.).
3. Make sure you can pull the plug if necessary.
Safety information

  1. Do not connect multiple devices together.
  2. There is no residual voltage left after the plug is unplugged.
  3. Suitable for dry rooms only.
  4. The power meter can only be connected to a properly installed earthed socket (230 V ~ 50 Hz).
  5.  The remote-controlled socket must not be plugged into an extension cable and must not be overloaded (maximum 3680W).
  6. Do not open the device. Improper installation may cause electric shock, short circuit or fire.
  7. The range of the power meter is affected by building conditions (e.g. reinforced concrete) or sources of electrical/electromagnetic interference (fluorescent lamps,  telephones, monitors, cables, etc.). If necessary, remove sources of interference or keep a suitable distance.
  8. Avoid moisture, extreme temperatures, vibration, and shock.
  9. Clean the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents. Do not immerse in water.
  10. Do not plug pins or other metal objects into electrical sockets.
  11. Do not place the device on the heating element.
