IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read and understand all safety and operating instructions before the radio is operated.

Retain instruction: The safety and operating instructions should be retained for further reference.

Heed warnings. All warnings on the appliance and operating instructions should be followed.

Follow all operations and use instructions.

Water and moisture: The appliance should not be used near water. Do not use near a bathtub, washbowl, laundry tub, kitchen sink, wet basement, swimming pool, etc.

Unplug the radio from the AC power outlet before cleaning. Use only a damp cloth for cleaning the exterior of the radio.

Do not place the radio on an unstable cart, stand, bracket or table. The radio may fall, causing serious personal injury and damage to the radio.

Ventilation: This radio should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the radio should not be used on a bed, sofa, rug, or other soft surfaces that may block the ventilation openings. It should not be placed in a built-in situation like a cabinet that may reduce airflow through the ventilation openings.

Power sources: The radio should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your radio dealer or power company.

Mains adaptor: The mains adaptor should be positioned so it is not walked on, pinched, or items placed on top of it. Pay particular attention to wires at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the unit. Unplug the mains adaptor by gripping the adaptor, not the wire. Operate the radio using only the current type of power source indicated. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.

Do not overload wall outlets or extension cords. This can result in a risk of fire or electrical shock. Never insert objects of any kind into the radio through the opening.
The objects may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts. This could cause a fire or electrical shock. -
If the radio is left unattended or unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet. This will prevent damage caused by unplugging it from the wall outlet. This will prevent damage caused by lightning or power line surges.

If the radio is left unattended and used for a long period of time, remove the batteries. The batteries may leak and damage furniture or your radio.

Do not attempt to service the receiver yourself. Removing the cover may expose you to dangerous voltage, and will void the warranty. Refer all servicing to authorized service personnel.

Never push objects of any kind into this radio through an opening as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind into the product.

The appliance should be serviced by qualified service personnel when: The power supply cord or the plug has been damaged. Objects have fallen or liquid had been spilled into the radio. The radio has been exposed to rain or water. The radio does not appear to operate normally or exhibit a marked change in performance. The radio has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.

To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

CAUTION:
● minimum distances around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation;
● the ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains, etc.;
● no naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus;
● attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal;
● the use of apparatus in tropical and/or moderate climates. -
A warning that batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.

The main plug of the power adapter is used as the disconnect device. The power outlet must be installed near the equipment and must be easily accessible.
Before you can use the internet functionality of your radio, you must have the following
- A broadband internet connection (not required for Bluetooth or Aux-in playback).
- A wireless (Wi-Fi) modem or router is connected to your broadband internet.
- Your WEP / WPA key or password to access your wireless network, if necessary.

Powering on and connecting the radio

Power your radio.
When you connect the power adapter to the radio or place batteries in the radio’s the battery compartment, the radio’s display will light up and show “SANGEAN

Go through the on-screen startup wizard.
After the radio’s software has been loaded, the startup wizard will appear on the display. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the wizard. To complete connecting your radio to your router and to the internet, make sure your router is powered on, and that it has an internet connection.
Listening to the radio

Press the Power button to turn on the radio.

Repeatedly press the Mode button or press the Mode button, rotate the Tuning knob, and press the Tuning knob to select the desired mode.

Press the Menu button for opening the menu for the selected mode and use the Tuning knob and/or Forward and Back buttons to navigate subsequent menus, select items, and tune to radio stations. The Info button allows the display of information relating to the radio station or music file being played. Press the Info button to cycle through the different options.

In the FM mode, rotate the Tuning knob to increase/decrease the frequency with steps of 0.05MHz or rotate the Tuning knob and then press it to automatically scan for the next radio station with a higher / lower frequency

Press the Volume + / – button to adjust the sound level as needed.

Storing a preset: Press and hold the required Preset button (1-5) until the display shows ‘Preset stored’. The station will be stored under the chosen preset button. Recalling a preset: Momentarily press the required reset button. Your radio will then tune to the station stored under the selected preset number.
Note: All functions can also be controlled using the UNDOK app.
When using the UNDOK app, make sure your radio and phone are connected to the
same Wi-Fi network, and do not press any of the radio’s buttons while
connecting to avoid interrupting the connection process.
If you would run into issues, try performing a factory reset or disconnect the
radio from the mains and remove the batteries for 1 minute.
