Important Safety Instructions

  • Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

  • Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

  • To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.

    Flashing Blue: When it is under the Bluetooth / TWS pairing mode.

    When the battery capacity is low, the indicating backlight will flash and then turn off.
    When charging in off mode, the light will be in breathing mode until fully charged.
    Note: It is not recommended to listen to the radio while charging to avoid interference.

Listening to music via Bluetooth streaming

  • Pairing and playing your Bluetooth device for the first time
  1. Rotate the Mode knob to select the BT (Bluetooth) mode. The LED indicator will flash blue to show the radio is discoverable.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on your device according to the device’s user manual to link to the radio. Locate the Bluetooth device list and select the device named “RA-101”. With some mobile devices (which are equipped with earlier versions than BT2.1 Bluetooth device), you may need to input the pass code “0000”.
  3. Once connected, there will be a confirmation tone sound. The blue LED indicator will remain steady. You can simply select and play any music from your source device. The Volume control can be adjusted from your source device, or directly from the radio.
  4. Use the controls on your Bluetooth-enabled device to play / pause and navigate tracks.

Disconnecting your Bluetooth device

Rotate the Mode knob to select any mode other than Bluetooth mode to disconnect with your Bluetooth device or turn off Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device to disable the connection.

The True Wireless Stereo (TWS) feature

True wireless stereo (also known as TWS) is a feature that allows one device to wirelessly connect with another device. Your RA-101 can be wirelessly connected to a second RA-101 and play music through both speakers at the same time.

Note: When the TWS connection is established for the first time, both speakers cannot be connected to the Bluetooth device first.

  1. Rotate the Mode knob to BT (Bluetooth) mode on the first speaker. The LED indicator will flash blue.
  2. Then rotate the Mode knob to TWS mode on the second speaker. The LED indicator will also flash blue.
  3. After a short period of time, a confirmation tone will sound when the TWS is connected successfully. The blue LED indicator on the second speaker will remain steady.
  4. Then connect the first speaker to the Bluetooth device. Once connected, there will be a confirmation tone sound and the blue LED indicator will remain steady.
  5. Start playback on the connected Bluetooth device and adjust the volume on the Bluetooth device or one of the speakers for comfortable listening.
    Note: The volume setting of one speaker is reflected on the other. Not all player applications or devices may respond to all of these controls.

Switching the audio mode

  • When using two speakers, repeatedly press and release the Volume knob to switch the different audio modes.
  • When the indicating backlight comes up in a full circle around the dial: Both speakers play the same sound. This is the default setting.
  • When the indicating backlight flashes 3 times in a half circle (left or right) around the dial: One speaker plays the sound on the left channel, while the other speaker
  • plays the sound on the right channel for stereo playback between the speakers.

Disconnecting TWS connection

Rotate the Mode knob to select any mode other than the current mode to disconnect the TWS.

Press and hold the Volume knob for 2 seconds, then rotate the Volume knob to adjust the backlight. Press and release the Volume knob to confirm the adjustment.
