SANGEAN MMR-88 DAB Multi Powered Radio

The SURVIVOR DAB (MMR-88 DAB) is powered by an 850mAh rechargeable Lithium-ion battery (supplied). Before operating the radio for the first time, ensure that you fully charge the supplied battery.

Inserting the supplied rechargeable battery

Note: Make sure the battery is inserted with correct polarity as shown in the compartment.

Connect the supplied USB cable to:

the USB socket of the computer (for example)
the USB socket of the radio.

plug the AC adapter into a standard AC outlet.
plug the Micro USB end into the Micro USB socket of the radio

| Pull out the Dynamo power handle and then rotate it approx. 120 rotations per minute to charge the battery.| Position the radio so that the solar panel receives direct sunlight. Make sure the solar panel is not covered with anything.
Note: The radio does not need to be switched on in order for the solar panel to operate.

Listening to the Radio

1. Straighten the antenna and turn on the radio.|

2. Select DAB/FM.|
3. DAB: Press or to display station list and find desired station.
Press the Select button to listen to the selected station.
FM: Press or to tune to a station or press and hold or to scan FM frequency.|
4. Press or to adjust the sound level as needed.|

| Select/Lock button: Press the Select button to confirm your selection. Press and hold the Lock button, all buttons will be disabled. Pressing and holding the Lock button again will unlock the keys.|

| Info/Menu button: Pressing and holding the Menu button will access the menu system of each mode. The Info button also allows the display of information relating to the radio station being played. Press and release the Info button to cycle through the different options.|

| Band button: Access to FM/DAB radio mode by pressing Band button.|

| Preset button:
A) Presetting stations: Repeatedly press and release the Preset button to select ‘MEM Store’ and press the Tuning up/down button to select your required preset number “Px”. Press the Select button to store the currently tuned station.
B) Recalling a preset station: Repeatedly press and release the Preset button to select ‘MEM Browse’ and press the Tuning up/down button to select your required station.|

| LED Flashlight button: 4 selections for the LED Flashlight:
Press the LED Flashlight button once for High, again for Low, again for Blinking, once more for SOS and one more time to shut the Flashlight off. Or in any mode you can hold the Flashlight button down until the Flashlight shuts off.|
