PREPARATION AND USE OF THE APPLIANCE AND ACCESSORIES
Remove all the packing material and take out the drive unit and the
accessories. Remove all possible adhesion foils, stick-on labels or paper from
the appliance. Before the first use, wash the parts that will be in contact
with food in hot water with a detergent, rinse them thoroughly with clean
water and wipe till dry, or let them dry.
Use of the masher
- The power supply indicator light on the upper part of the appliance will light up which means that the appliance is connected to electricity and ready for use. Hold the rubber handle and switch on the ON/OFF (A1) button with your index finger.
- Hold the button down and simply push the blender down onto the food. The blended food will be pressed through the side walls of the blending head. Repeat the process on multiple places of the utensil, making sure you do not miss any (pic.2). If you are sure that all food has been blended (which may take up to 20 seconds), the food is ready.
- Leave the blender running after taking it out of the food, in order that the food residues fall off the attachment.
About mashing Potatoes
Mashed potato is a crushed mixture of cooked potato with added milk, cream,
butter, and herbs to taste. Importantly, the potato needs to be crushed so
that the starch grains remain relatively intact. If the starch grains are
ruptured by either over-cooking or aggressive blending, they release amilose
which imparts an unacceptable ‚glue‘ like texture. The masha uses an extrusion
process rather than a cutting or blending action so that the starch grains
remain intact.
Cooking is important
Peel and cut the required amount of potato into approx. 2.5cm cubes. Race in
cool water, and heat to boiling. Boil gently until the pieces offer little
resistance to a knife. This takes 15-20 minutes. Cutting the potatoes into
smaller pieces, and heating the water from cold, allows the potatoes to cook
thorough evenly. Larger pieces placed in hot water tend to be overcooked on
the outside by the time the inside is cooked. Overcooking the outside breaks
down the starch grains, releasing amilose which results in a glue like
consistency when mashed.
Recipe
Cook 1kg of potatoes following the instructions above. Add desired quantity of
milk, cream, butter, and seasoning, then process for approximately 20 seconds
to a smooth, consistent mash. Depending on the type of potatoes and the
desired consistency you may choose to add the milk, cream and butter at
various stages of mashing.
Other Ingredients
The mixer can also be used with a variety of other vegetables, such as
pumpkin, sweet potato, parsnips or carrots. Simply cook and then mash to a
perfectly smooth consistency. Mixed vegetable combinations are now easy to
prepare and great for the kids.
We recommend interrupting work at times, turning the appliance off and
removing ingredients which have stuck to the B attachment (see I. SAFETY
PRECAUTION). Unplug the appliance from the el. power by pulling the supply
cord plug A2 from the outlet.
MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance before each maintenance by pulling the supply cord plug from the el. socket! Do not use any rough an abrasive cleaning agents!
For disassembling the appliance proceed following (pic. 3):
- Press release buttons A3 on both sides of the mixer body. The mixing attachment B will detach from the masher body A.
- If you wish to remove the attachment blade A4, turn it anti-clockwise.
- Proceed reversely for assembling.
Clean the masher body unit A with a soft damp cloth and soap. Make sure water
does not get inside the inner parts. Wash all other accessories immediately
after use in hot water with soap, rinse with clean water and wipe dry (you may
use a dishwasher – but not for the masher A). The end with the masher shaft B
must not be immersed when cleaning. Food residues on the attachment B may be
removed by rotating the mashing head on the edge of the utensil.
Some food can colour the accessories in some way. But this does not affect the
function of the appliance and it is not a reason for a claim. This colouring
usually disappears in some time. Never dry plastic moldings over a heat source
(e. g. heater, stove, radiator).
Store the appliance after cleaning at a dry, dust-free and safe place, out of
reach of children and incapacitated people.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
If the dimensions allow, there are labels of materials used for production of
packing, components and accessories as well as their recycling on all parts.
The symbols specified on the product or in the accompanying documentation mean
that the used electrical or electronic products must not be disposed of
together with municipal waste. For proper disposal, hand them over at the
special collection places where they will be accepted free of charge. Suitable

prevent possible negative impacts on the environment and human health, which
could be the possible consequences of improper waste disposal. Ask for more
details at the local authority or at a collection site. Fines can be imposed
for improper disposal of this type of waste in agreement with the national
regulations. If the appliance is to be put out of operation, after
disconnecting it from power supply we recommend its cutoff and in this way it
will not be possible to use the appliance again.
More extensive maintenance or maintenance requiring intervention in the inner
parts of the appliance must be carried out by professional service!
Failure to comply with the instructions of the manufacturer will lead to
expiration of the right to guarantee repair!
