Important Information
- Please read this manual carefully before installation.
- Should only be installed by persons trained & certified in car exhaust system installation and performance.
- The instructions provided in this manual should be followed to ensure proper installation and safe use of the exhaust system. We shall not be held liable for any damage or personal injury sustained as a result of improper installation of the exhaust system or its use and maintenance contrary to the instructions and warnings contained herein.
- Please follow the torque value when installing the exhaust
- Clean and remove oil stains on the exhaust system to avoid surface burning for the first start of the engine.
- iPE exhaust systems are manufactured according to original engine settings. Any changes made to the original ECU setting might cause resonance, vibration, or abnormal noise. A modified version of the exhaust pipe may be provided by iPE for such vehicles.

Installation Tools
Exterior Appearance
Disassembly of the stock exhaust system
- Move vehicle to car lift and achieve appropriately safe position.
- Note: Beware of the height and clear the surrounding area when raising the vehicle. Keep fasteners intact after disassembly. Use lubricant when necessary. Safety First!

Remove the bottom bracket; left and right bottom shields and then loosen the middle slip sleeve screws (Figure 1).

Remove muffler screws.

Remove valve motor plug to remove muffler (Figure 2).
Note: Keep screws intact for reassembly! -
Remove the front shield and front tube screw. (Figure 3).
Note: Keep screws intact for reassembly! -
Remove engine cover.

Remove the front tube screw, oxygen sensor, and catalyst rings.

Note: Keep screws intact for reassembly!

Use appropriate tools to remove the oxygen sensor to avoid damage
Installation steps of iPE exhaust
- position the catalyst without locking; lock the oxygen sensor first. Only lock the catalyst ring after the front pipe is positioned and locked (Figure 5).
- Note: Must lock screws with the right torque!
- Place the front pipe in position, followed by lifting the lug and catalyst ring with pre-lock only. Lock pipe head first and then tighten lifting lug and catalyst ring. (Figure 6, Figure 7)

- Place mid-section to the position; install sleeve and front bracket. (Figure 8)
Note: Must lock screws with the right torque!
- Place the muffler and motor in position, and tighten the mid-length set screws (Figure 9).
- Install chassis bracket.
Note: Must lock screws with the right torque!
Installation of OBD system
The fuse box can be found in the left trunk trim; open and install the OBD fuse into the fuse holder as shown below, and pull the positive (+) wire to the front engine compartment (Figure 10). Note: Always be careful with wiring connections to avoid short circuits! Do not use force with all wirings!
Remove set-box screws of the panel under the steering wheel as shown in the picture and connect the OBD wire in the correct position. (Figure 11, Figure 12) Note: Always be careful with wiring connections to avoid short circuits! Do not use force with all wirings!
Extend the positive (+) wire to the inside through the firewall compartment at the side of the wiper motor near the bundle of wirings as shown in Figure 13. Note: Wiring, be careful not to short circuit, so as to avoid damage to the circuit; wiring do not pull the wire strong.
- Connect Negative (-) wire as earth to any metallic bolts in the dashboard compartment.
