FLEXIT CI 81 Wireless Transmitter
About this manual
About the device
The CI81 is a transmitter, which communicates with the ventilation system
through the wireless adaptor. The alternative ventilation setting is initiated
when the chimney fan is started, and transferred via wireless communication to
the air handling unit.

General safety instructions
- This product was designed and manufactured to ensure maximum safety during installation, operation and service.
- Parts of the device carry mains power, which is a potential lethal voltage.
- Disconnect power at supply line, circuit breaker or fuse before installing, servicing or removing the device.
- The device is designed for indoor use only.
- Do not expose the device to rain or moisture, to avoid short circuit.
- Operate the device between 0°C and 40°C.
- For cleaning of the device use a soft damp cloth only. Never use any abrasive or chemical cleaner.
- Do not paint the device.
Installation
Preparation
Do not place the device in a metal casing.
- Position the pressure switch and wireless input module within a metre of the cooker hood exhaust duct. Fix the unit to the wall with the accompanying screws.
- Connect the wires from the kitchen fan to the connections marked “Filter”. It is immaterial which wire is connected to which connection.
Commissioning
- A: Input module, wireless
- B: Status LED
- C: Touch button
- Prerequisite: Adapter CI75 must be installed and configured.
- Turn on the power to the device, the status LED will light for 3 seconds.
- Wait until the status indicator shows the connection mode, status LED, C flashes alternating green/red. If the device shows another indication,, follow the instructions under 3.2.1.
- Launch the Flexit GO app on your mobile device and connect to the product.
- When the home screen appears, go to More/Additional functions/Wireles5s accessories.
- Press Chosen Devi under the heading Add wireless devio Then choose CI79/ Ci81 Cooker hood.
- When the Pairing process status has switched to Start pairing procedure (see image), press button C. If status light B flashes green everything is OK. If not, press button C again. The device is now connected with the product which is shown in the list Connected devices after a few seconds.
If the CI79/Ci81 has been connected before
- Launch the Flexit GO app on your mobile device and connect to the product.
- When the home screen appears, go to More/Additional functions/Wireless accessories.
- Press Chosen device under the heading Add wireless device. Then choose CI79/C181 cooker hood.
- When the Pairing process status has switched to Start pairing procedure (see image). Press and hold button Cuntil the status LEDBis flashing white and then release button C. When the status LED B is flashing alternating green/ red, press button C. lf the status LED B is flashing green everyting is OK, if not, press button C again.
The device is now connected with the product which is shown in the list Connected devices after a few seconds.
Description
Intended use
The device is designed to change the ventilation mode during use of a cooker
hood.
Working principle
The device communicates with the ventilation unit using wireless
communication.
Ventilation speed and mode
During use of a cooker hood the ventilation system is set to COOKER HOOD mode.
COOKER HOOD mode: Intended for use together with a cooker hood.
Adjustment of CoOKER HOOD mode
The desired fan speeds to be used in COOKER HOOD mode can be set in the Flexit
GO App.
Visual signals
Operation
When the cooker hood are turned on an automatic change to cooker hood mode on the ventilation unit will be performed. As Soon as the the cooker hood are turned off the ventilation unit will return the previous mode.
