CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK

  1. Remove the rechargeable battery pack from the Gravity Rover X-2 by squeezing the clips on the sides of the battery pack.
  2. Plug the included USB-C charging cable into the USB-C port on the battery pack.
  3. Plug the other end of the USB-C charging cable into a USB power adapter and then plug it into a wall outlet.
  4. The LED will turn red when the battery is charging. Once finished, the light will turn off.

REPLACING THE REMOTE BATTERIES

  1. The remote control uses 4 AA 1.5V batteries (not included).
  2. Use Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the screw in the battery cover and then open it.
  3. Insert the batteries with the correct orientation as shown.
  4. Close the battery door and secure the screw with the Phillips-head screwdriver.
    Note: When the Gravity Rover X-2 is low on power, the orange LEDs on top of the vehicle will begin to flash and a warning notification will play from the remote control. The propellers will not activate in low battery mode. Charge the vehicle to resume normal play.

HOW TO DRIVE

POWER

  1. Turn the power knob on the remote control from off to on. The status LED will light up.
  2. Flip the power switch located on the back of the Gravity Rover X-2 from off to on. The status LED on top of the vehicle will light up.

PAIR

  1. Power on both the Gravity Rover X-2 and the remote control to automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing status LED.
  2. After pairing is successful, the status LED will stay lit. The Gravity Rover X-2 is ready to drive!
  3. If pairing disconnects, power off both the vehicle and remote control. Then, power on both the vehicle and remote control to reconnect.

CONTROL

  1. Control the vehicle using the remote control pads. The left pad controls the left wheels and the right pad controls the right wheels. Push both pads up to go forward and down to go backward.
  2. When ready to climb, engage the Gravity Drive by pressing and holding down the Gravity Drive button on the remote for 2 seconds. The propellers will begin rotating. You can now climb on the walls or ceiling.
  3. To turn off the Gravity Drive, press and hold the button on the remote down for 2 seconds. Make sure the vehicle is on the ground before disengaging Gravity Drive to avoid the vehicle falling and becoming damaged.
  4. In the event of an emergency, the Gravity Drive can be disengaged immediately by double tapping the Gravity Drive button.
  5. When the battery is low, the Gravity Rover X-2 lights will flash and the remote will beep. Drive the vehicle to ground level to avoid unnecessary damage caused by a fall from the ceiling or walls.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. If your vehicle is having trouble climbing or maneuvering on the walls or ceiling after a full charge, your tires could be cleaned to improve traction.   2. Inspect the rotors before play and remove or untangle any obstructions.
  3. If your Gravity Rover X-2 is malfunctioning due to a crash or fall. please follow these tips to restore your vehicle to working condition:
    • a. The small gear between the wheels may come out of alignment. Carefully press the gear back into place so the gear teeth mesh with the wheel gear teeth.SHARPER-IMAGE-Gravity-Rover-X-2-RC-Antigravity-Floor-Wall-and-Ceiling-Crawler-3

    • c. The gear connecting rod can become deformed. It is flexible and can be gently shaped back into place.SHARPER-IMAGE-Gravity-Rover-X-2-RC-Antigravity-Floor-Wall-and-Ceiling-Crawler-5
    • d. The propellers can become stuck in the Gravity Rover X-2 shell openings. As the propellers and shell are flexible, the shell can be gently flexed outward to free the blade to rotate.SHARPER-IMAGE-Gravity-Rover-X-2-RC-Antigravity-Floor-Wall-and-Ceiling-Crawler-6
    • e. The propellers can sometimes become damaged at the ends which can impact the performance. If your propellers look chipped, bent, or broken, you can replace them with the replacement propellers included. First, turn off the vehicle by flipping the switch on the bottom of the unit. Next, remove the safety cage. Then, remove the damaged propellers by pulling them at the center directly away from the bottom of the unit, gripping the blade with a pair of pliers, until it comes off the motor stem. Replace the front blade (closest to the orange screen) with the blade marked “A” and the back blade (closest to the SI 77 logo) with the blade marked “B”. Push the blade down on to the motor stem until they are firmly attached.   • The Gravity Drive blades rotate at a very high rate of speed. When they blades are on, do NOT place your hand, face, or any extremity near the vehicle. Once the Gravity Drive is disengaged and the blades have  stopped rotating, you can handle the vehicle.
  • Not for children under 8 years of age.
  • Do not use people or animals as obstacles.
  • For indoor use only.
  • Never operate your vehicle in inclimate weather, rain, or standing water.
  • Keep fingers, hair and loose clothing away from wheels while vehicle is in motion.
  • Do not expose to extreme temperatures and moisture.
  • Do not leave vehicle or transmitter near sources of heat or under direct sunlight for long periods of time.
  • Thoroughly inspect products before every use. If the product appears worn, frayed/splintered, cracked, or broken in any manner, discontinue use and discard immediately.
  • IMPORTANT! The RC Gravity Rover X-2 is an indoor vehicle ONLY, intended for flat surfaces such as floor, walls, windows, and ceilings. Do NOT play with the Gravity Rover X-2 outdoors.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY WARNINGS

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard {carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
  • There is a risk of fire and personal injury if battery is punctured, damaged, or misused.
  • Do not dismantle, crush, incinerate, or short-circuit battery.
  • Never expose battery to extreme temperatures or moisture.
  • Keep away from flammable materials and direct sunlight.
  • Only charge using the provided charger, cable, and/or adapters.
  • The rechargeable battery is only to be charged by an adult.
  • Adult supervision is required while charging the battery.
  • Allow battery to cool to room temperature before charging.
  • Charge on a non-flammable surface and keep away from flammable products.
  • Discontinue charging if battery becomes hot. swells, smokes, or gives off a strong odor.
  • Battery chargers used with the product are to be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts. In the event of such damage, chargers must not be used until the damage has been repaired.
  • Remove batteries before storing.
  • Recycle or dispose of battery according to federal, state, and local laws.
  • Keep these instructions for future reference.
