Installation
- Watch our installation video on proslat.com
- Location of your panel
• Decide where and how high you would like your PROCORE Slatwall section installed.
• You must start and finish on studs.
Location of your studs
- Once you have chosen your installation location, verify that you are starting and finishing on a stud.
- Using a stud finder, locate all studs between start and finish, and mark along their length with a level. You will need to screw each panel into each stud.
Install your horizontal starter trim
NOTE: For this step, it is best to have the help of a second person
- Install your starter 95 5 /8 in. trim at desired starting height (the wider side installs against the wall), level and screw into the middle studs. Do not screw into the first and last studs.
Install your vertical J-trims
- Starting on one side, overlap a side J-trim with your starter trim (the wider side installs against the wall) and screw through both (as indicated in the image).
- Level the side J-trim and drive one screw at the top to hold it in place.
- Repeat on the other side. Your panels will be screwed through the J-trims holding both in place.
Install first panel
- To install the first panel, fit the panel into the top of the tracks made by the vertical J-trims and slide all the way to the bottom.
- Make sure your panel is seated into the bottom starter trim and is level. Screw through the upper channel of the panel and into each stud. Drive screws at either end of the panel through the vertical J-trim and into your stud. This will hold your vertical J trims to the wall.

NOTE: Do not drive a screw through the hook channel.

Installation of the following 8 panels
-
Repeat Step 6 for all remaining panels. Push down on each panel before screwing to make sure that it is properly overlapped
with the lower adjacent panel. -
Make sure you screw into every stud before installing the next panel.
-
Repeat until your last piece is left, verifying the level every three panels.
-
Properly interlocked panels will conceal the previous panel’s installation screws.
NOTE: Screws installed at the top of the vertical J-trims may have to be removed to complete a clean installation of the top panel.
Install the last panel
- Set your last panel in place but do not screw it. Mark where to cut trims.
- Remove the panel to allow you to easily cut the trims.
- Install the last panel and screw it in.
NOTE: Screws installed at the top of the vertical J-trims may have to be removed to complete a clean installation of the top panel.
Install your top trim
- Install your horizontal top L-trim by simply clipping it into the lip above the screw cavity.
NOTE: If you have done a complete wall and you had to cut your top panel
to fit, you will need to use silicone to install your top trim.
NOTE: Vertical J-Trims are not included in the image to show the clear
installation of horizontal top L-trim.
Care and Cleaning
- Proslat PROCORE panels are very durable and water resistant. They can be washed with a power washer on a low setting or wiped with a soft cloth and mild detergents. Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaners.
Troubleshooting
Concrete or block wall installation
- If your walls are made of concrete or blocks, you will need to fasten 2 x 3 in. studs or furring strips vertically at 16 in. or 24 in. using cement screws and then install your panels to the studs. You will need 1.5 in self tap-in screws to screw through the aluminum insert inside the panel. If you have any issues finding them in your local hardware store please contact us.
More than one section high installation
- If you are installing more than one section vertically, it is not necessary to use a starter trim at the start of the second section.
Side-by-side installation
- If you are installing two or more sections side by side, use 2 J-trims (placing them back to back) to connect sections.
Two J-trims
- Optional: H-trim is also available on proslat.com — use this in place of back-to-back J-trims for best results.
H-trim installation (Used to join 2 sections together)
* Typically sold separately
- After deciding where you want to install your Slatwall, center your H-trim in the center of the stud at the correct height, and secure the H-trim to the stud by placing a crew at the top of the trim. Make sure the H-trim is straight and add a second screw midway down the H-trim to secure it in place. (This screw can be removed once you have completed the following step.).
Side-by-side installation using an H-trim
- Overlap one of your bottom starter trims with the bottom of your H-trim and screw through both. (number 1 on the illustration)
- Level and screw into the adjacent two studs. (number 2 on the illustration)
- Take one of your side J-trims and install it vertically by overlapping with the bottom starter trim and screwing through both. (number 3 on the illustration)
- Level the side J-trim and drive a temporary screw at the top. (This screw will be removed at the end to allow you to cut the excess trim)
- Repeat on the other side of your H-trim.
