BEFORE OPERATING THIS PRODUCT, READ, UNDERSTAND, AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE FIRST USE

Read and follow all the instructions in this manual even if you feel you are familiar with the product, and find a place to keep it handy for future reference.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT.

When using the electrical appliance, the following basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons or property:

  • Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage, frequency and rating as indicated on the product identification plate.

  • Do not use this fan with any solid state speed control device to reduce the risk of electric shock.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  • Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
    Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

  • Do not leave the fan running unattended.

  • Do not operate the product if it is dropped, damaged or showing signs of product malfunction. Do not operate the product with a damaged plug or cord. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, refund or replacement.

  • If the device is not functioning properly, contact a qualified electrician or service center for examination and repair, never try to dismantle it by yourself.

  • Do not immerse or expose the product or flexible cord to rain, moisture or any other liquid.

  • This product should not be used in the immediate vicinity of water, such as bathtubs, washbowls, swimming pools etc. where the likelihood of immersion or splashing could occur.

  • Never install the unit where it could be subject to:

    • Heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other products that produce heat
    • Direct sunlight
    • Mechanical vibration or shock
    • Excessive dust
    • Lack of ventilation, such as a cabinet or bookcase
    • Uneven surface
  • Switch off and unplug from the outlet when the product is not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning. Fully assemble the fan before switching on.

  • Avoid any contact with the moving parts. Do not insert any body parts (e.g. finger) or objects through the grill when the fan is operating.

  • Do not cover the grille, or operate in close proximity to curtains, etc.

  • This product is intended for normal domestic/household use only.

  • Always disconnect the fan when moving it from one location to another.

  • The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause personal or property hazards or injuries.

  • Be sure that the fan is on a stable surface when operating, to avoid overturning.

  • Do not immerse the fan in water.

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified person, in order to avoid a hazard.

PRODUCT ASSEMBLY

  • Insert the stand pipe (19) into the base (20) and fix it tightly by turning clockwise the plastic tightening screw (21).
  • To adjust the height, loosen the height adjustment screw (18). Slide the inner pipe (17) to the desired height, and then tighten again
  • Loosen the set knob (16) by turning it anti-clockwise.
  • Slide the switch housing (15) down over the inner pipe (17) until it makes contact with the inner stopper, and tighten with the set knob (16).
  • Unscrew the rear grille securing nut (7) from the motor housing (13) by turning it anti-clockwise.
  • Mount the rear grille (8) onto the motor housing (13) by matching the three holes on the rear grille (8) to the three round pins (11) on the front of the motor housing (12).
  • Push firmly until the pins protrude through the holes and secure the rear grille (8) to the motor housing (12) with the rear grille securing nut (7).
  • Remove the protective tube from the motor shaft (9).
  • Insert the fan blade (6) onto the motor shaft (9). Align the slots on the back of the fan blade (6) to the shaft pin (10). Press firmly until the fan blade (6) engages the shaft pin (10).
  • Secure the fan blade (6) with the locking cap (5), turning anti clockwise to tighten.
  • Test the fan blade (6) operation by rotating it with your hand. There should be no friction with the rear grille securing nut (7). If the fan blade (6) does not operate freely, disassemble and repeat the procedure.
  • Remove the protective foil from the center cap (1)
  • Open the fixing clips (4) around the front grille (2) and loosen the grille screw and nut (22) at the bottom of the front grille (2).
  • Position the hook (3) on the uppermost part of the rear grille (8).
  • Push the hook (3) down and press the rim of the front grille (2) onto the rear grille (8). Close all the clips around the grille and tighten the grille screw and nut (22).

OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT

  • Connect the plug into an electrical socket and switch on at the wall.
  • You can control your stand fan either with the Remote Controller or with Control Buttons on the control panel.
  • Press the “ON/SPEED” button. At first start-up the fan will operate at low speed.
  • Press the same button to choose between Low, Medium and High speed.
  • Press “SWING” button to switch to oscillation mode.
  • Press “MODE” to select one of the 3 wind modes (normal wind, natural wind, sleeping wind).
  • Press “TIMER” to set the timing up to 12 hours.

Remote Control

  • The sensor of the remote control must be pointed at the fan receiver to operate properly.
  • The distance between the remote and receiver should be no more than 6 meters and 30 degrees radius left to right of the fan.

Caution: The fan should always be switched off when making this adjustment.

CLEANING

  • Switch off and unplug from the power supply before assembling or disassembling and cleaning.
  • Keep the air vents at the rear of the main body free from dust or fluff– use a vacuum cleaner to remove these when necessary. Do not probe any opening to remove fluff.
  • Fan component parts should be cleaned using mild soap and a damp cloth or sponge. Do not allow any water or other liquid to enter the motor housing.
  • Thoroughly remove soap film with clean water.

CAUTION: Do not use harsh detergents, chemical cleaners or solvents as they may damage the surface finish of the fan components.

This symbol means that electrical and electronic equipment, at their end-of-life, should be disposed of separately from your household waste. Please dispose of this equipment at your local community waste collection/ recycling centre. In the European Union there are separate collection systems for used electrical and electronic products.
