Read and understand these instructions before installing luminaire (fixture). This luminaire is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations. To assure full compliance with local codes and regulations, check with your local electrical inspector before installation. To prevent electrical shock, turn off electricity at fuse box before proceeding. Allow fixture to cool before handling.

Caution
(RISK OF FIRE) This is a non-IC rated frame-in kit. Do not install insulation above or within 3 inches (76mm) of any part of luminaire. Use only with LED light modules and reflector trims provided by Signify. Use of other manufacturers trims may void the Underwriters Laboratories listing and could constitute a fire hazard

May require minimum center-to-center spacing installation. Must reference light module instruction sheet I5-MS_IC.

Ceiling installation

• Step1
  Cut an opening in the ceiling to accommodate the remodeler to be installed (Fig. A). Ensure that there is nothing in the ceiling to obstruct the installation.

• Step2
  Pass the support ring into the ceiling (Fig. B). Slide the springs onto the serrated bracket (Fig.C). Press the springs down against the back of serrated bracket and lower them to the ceiling.

• Step3
  Wire to supply leads. White wire to neutral supply lead, black wire to hot supply lead, and bare copper and/or green wire must be connected to supply ground. Use wire nuts (local hardware item). Place all electrical connections in the j-box and close the j-box door. For luminaires with 0-10V dimming, or digital dimming, wire purple & gray leads to appropriate control wires. Additional brown, yellow and red wires are for emergency battery pack installations and should remain capped off when not in use. Addition orange wire is for future expansion and should also remain capped off.

• Step 4
  Fold j-box into ceiling using the j-box mounting bracket as a guide (Fig. D). Notches in bracket align with typical ceiling thicknesses.
