Product Usage Instructions

Attaching the Battery:

  1. For optimal performance, charge a new battery 14 to 16 hours before initial use.
  2. Align the battery contacts with the contacts inside the battery compartment. Push the battery into place.
  3. Align the battery cover in place and slide the battery latch until it locks.

Attaching the Antenna:

  1. Turn off the radio.
  2. Set the antenna in the receptacle and turn it clockwise to secure it in place.

Turning the Radio On and Off:
Long press the On/Off/Information button to turn the radio on or off.

Adjusting the Volume:
Press the Volume Up or Volume Down button to adjust the volume levels.

LED Indicators:

  • Solid Red: Radio is charging.

  • Solid Yellow
    Radio is monitoring a conventional channel or indicating fair battery capacity when the On/Off/Information button is pressed.

  • Blinking Yellow
    Radio is scanning for activity or has yet to respond to a Call Alert.

  • Double Blinking Yellow
    Radio is actively searching for a new site, is locked, or has yet to respond to a Group Call Alert.
