INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE USING YOUR UNIT
Remove the exterior and interior packing. Before connecting the unit to the power source, let it stand upright for approximately 2 hours. This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a soft cloth. Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase in the temperature in the compartments of the appliance.

INSTALLATION OF YOUR UNIT

  • Place your unit on a floor that is strong enough to support the unit when it is fully loaded. To level your unit, adjust the legs at the bottom of the unit.
  • Allow 13cm of space between the back and sides of the unit, which allows the proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser.
  • Locate the unit away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater, radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also cause the unit not to perform properly.
  • Avoid locating the unit in moist areas. Too much moisture in the air will cause frost to form quickly on the interior surface requiring more frequent defrosting of the unit.
  • Plug the unit into an exclusive properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Under any circumstances, do not cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed toward a certified electrician or technical assistant.
  • Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.
  • Do not use outdoors or wet surfaces. Use only on dry, indoor surfaces.
  • Look at your unit and follow all label and marking instructions.
  • Open the door from the left or right side.
  • Users can change the direction of opening according to one’s own needs.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

  • Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical shock. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by technical assistance.
  • This unit should be properly grounded for your safety. The power cord of this unit is equipped with a plug that mates with standard wall outlets to minimize the possibility of electrical shock. To use socket. Do not share multi-socket with other electric appliances. Under any circumstances, do not cut or remove the third ground prong from the power cord supplied.
  • Never use an extension cord to connect power to the unit.
  • Using improper voltage may result in damage to the appliance and possible injury to the user. The correct voltage is listed on the rating label.
  • The cord should be secured behind the unit and not left exposed or dangling to prevent accidental injury.

OPERATING YOUR UNIT

  • Adjust the temperature

Start-up for a test:
To use as a freezer, you may set the temperature control dial at the “4” (max) position by turning the knob clockwise from the starting or “1” (min) position. After 24 hours, adjust the control to the setting that best suits your needs. When opening the door, some cold air come out after being electrified for around 30 minutes, which indicates that the refrigeration system operates normally; normally, both sides of the freezer are warm when it is in operation.

NOTE

  • “4” (max):
    • Means strong cooling
  • “2 and 3” (normal):
    • Means normal cooling
  • “1” (min):
    • Means weak cooling

Cut off the power when not using it for a long time. If the unit is unplugged, power cut, or turned off; you must wait for 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the unit. If you attempt to restart before this time delay, the unit will not start. When storing the food, clean-wrapped it or store it in a container with a lid, this prevents smell and keeps it dry. There should be proper space between food, do not put too much food. To save electricity, do not open the door frequently.

DEFROSTING YOUR UNIT
When? For the most efficient operation and minimum energy consumption, defrost the unit compartment when the frost on the evaporator wall is excessive or ¼ of 2,5 cm thick. How? To start defrosting, unplug the unit, and remove the food and shelf. After the frost or ice has melted, discard the melted water and dry up the interior of the unit. Then the unit can be restarted by turning its thermostat to the desired setting.

PACKING FROZEN FOOD

To prevent food from losing its flavor or drying out, place food in airtight packaging.

  1. Place food in packaging.
  2. Remove air.
  3. Seal the wrapping.
  4. Label packaging with contents and dates of freezing.

SUITABLE PACKAGING
Plastic film, tubular film made of polyethylene, aluminum foil. These products are available from specialist outlets. Recommended storage times of frozen food in the freezer compartment. These times vary depending on the type of food. The food that you freeze can be preserved from 1 to 12 months (minimum at -18° C).

Never forget:
When you freeze fresh foods with a “use by /best before/best by/” date, you must freeze them before this date expires. Check that the food is not already frozen. Indeed, frozen food that has thawed completely must not be refrozen. Once defrosted, food should be consumed quickly.

CAUTION

  • Do not use boiling water because it may damage the plastic parts. In addition, never use a sharp or metallic instrument to remove frost as it may damage the cooling system and will void the warranty.
  • Use a sponge or towel to pick up the melting ice off the unit floor.
  • Remove the frozen food from the unit and place it in a cooler to protect the food.
  • Do not spatter water inside or outside the unit parts because they are easy to be out of order or cause electrical shock when touching water.
  • Avoid taking the plug with wet hands. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not put things which temperature is strictly demanded into. The unit. (Such as serum, vaccine, reagent, etc.)
  • Do not put inflammable things into the unit. Benzene, liquid gas, alcohol, bond, etc. Are dangerous to explode.
  • Do not damage the unit circuit.

  • To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  • The freezer is designed for the long-term storage of frozen food.
  • The storage life of frozen foods varies and the recommended storage time should not be exceeded. The instructions regarding the care of frozen foods should be followed when defrosting the unit.
  • Pre-packed commercially frozen food should be stored per the frozen foods manufacturer’s instructions for a three-star frozen food storage compartment or home freezer.
  • Place frozen food into the freezer as quickly as possible after purchase. If there are instructions on the packet, carefully follow these instructions regarding storage times.
