INSTALLATION
ISOFIX base installation
-
remove the plastic strip from the battery compartment on the bottom of the base.
-
When installing the child restraint system, make sure the base display verifies the installation of your child restraint system. LED indicators and audible signals confirm correct/incorrect installation. If there is no audible signal or visible LED indications, check the batteries. The batteries shall only be replaced with 2 x 1.5 V AA / LR06 size batteries. For more information, read the ISOFIX base instructions manual.
-
Before placing the base on the vehicle seat, fold out the support-leg from the bottom of the base and make sure the AcuTight crank handle is fully lowered on the base.
-
Ensure that the ISOFIX connectors on the base are securely attached to the vehicle’s ISOFIX anchorages. There should be an audible “click” and the LED indicators for the ISOFIX connectors should show green indicating that the base has been properly attached to the ISOFIX anchorages.
-
Pull the AcuTight crank handle back and forth several times until the base is firmly locked in place on the vehicle seat. The AcuTight crank handle will over torque once the correct assembly force is applied.
-
Extend the support-leg until it is in direct contact with the vehicle floor. When the support-leg is completely folded out and fully extended to a stable position on the vehicle floor, the LED indicator for the support-leg will show green.
-
If a LED indicator shows red and there is an audible sound, check the support-leg position and individual ISOFIX connectors. Adjust the positions until there is an audible feedback and the LED indicator shows green.
-
Ensure that there are no objects or space between the support-leg and vehicle floor. If there are storage compartments in the floor of the vehicle, contact the vehicle manufacturer.
-
The base shall always remain securely installed in the vehicle. Only remove the base for cleaning and maintenance or when shifting cars.
