Installation
- Identify the components in the scope of delivery as listed on page 2 of the manual.
- Mount the wall plugs (suitable for cement walls up to 1 cm) and three washers on the wall.
- Attach the wall bracket securely on a level surface.
- Place the hose box onto the wall bracket.
- Slide the safety shell onto the wall bracket until it locks in place.
Operation
Handle the product according to the guidelines provided in the manual to ensure safe and efficient use.
Storage
When not in use, store the hose box in a dry and secure location away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

Intended use:
For safety reasons, children and young people under the age of 16, as well as people not familiar with these operating instructions, may not use this product. Persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities may only use this product when supervised or instructed by an authorised person. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product. Never operate the product when you are tired, ill or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine.

The Hose Box is only suitable for outdoor use. The product is intended exclusively for use in private household gardens or on private allotments.

DANGER!
Physical injury through prestressed springs. The Hose Box may not be opened.
When placing the hose box on the holder, make sure that it stands securely and carries the load as close to the body as possible.
Keep your back straight. Do not lift with your upper body bent forward or with a hollow back.
Keep children away from the product.
Keep any third parties away from the product while it is in use.
Do not place any additional load on the wall bracket.
Choose a mounting location that prevents water from entering the building in the event of a leak.
Depressurise the hose when not in use.
We recommend a mounting location that is protected against direct sunlight so that the unit and hose do not overheat.

DANGER! Risk of suffocation!

Small parts can be easily swallowed. There is also a risk that the poly-bag can suffocate toddlers. Keep toddlers away when you assemble the product.
Risk of scalding if the hose is exposed to direct sunlight for a long period. For safety reasons, the hose may only be replaced by GARDENA Service.

Scope of delivery

ASSEMBLY

To assemble the wall bracket [Fig. 1 – 6]:

CAUTION!

The supplied wall plugs are suitable for cement walls (plaster up to 1 cm). For other wall types, special wall plugs must be used.
The accompanying wall bracket is designed to be fitted on a level surface. Fitting on uneven surfaces could damage the wall bracket.

Mark the 3 boreholes.
Drill the 3 boreholes in the wall with an 8 mm drill bit.
Insert the 3 dowels in the 3 holes.
Screw the wall bracket to the wall with the 3 screws (spanner size 10 mm) and the 3 washers.
Place the hose box on the wall bracket.
Slide the safety tray onto the wall bracket as far as it will go. Make sure that the hose box is not yet secured before attaching the safety tray and could fall down.
Secure the hose box with the 2 locking screws.
Connect the connecting hose to the tap.

OPERATION

Do not use a damaged product.
Check the product for damage before rolling up and unwinding.

CAUTION!
Crushing and entanglement hazard due to high spring force!v Keep your fingers, hair, clothing and all other objects away from the hose and inlet shaft!

Unwind:

Pull out the hose to the desired length.
The hose can be locked at intervals of approximately 25 – 45 cm.

Roll up:

In the event of problems with the hose coiling action, uncoil the hose slowly, clean the surface with a cloth and then allow the hose to coil up again. If the hose still does not coil up properly, please contact GARDENA Service.
With the nozzle, return to the Hose Box and release the lock through a short tug on the hose.
- In case of hose blockage, pull the hose out completely and let it retract again.
- Through a special braking technique, the hose rolls up securely and evenly on its own. The locking mechanism clicks during unwinding and roll-up.

STORAGE

To put into storage:

The product must be stored away from children.
Empty the hose before storing the hose box.
The Wall-Mounted Hose Box can remain outside depressurised throughout the winter months.

Disposal:
Empty the hose before disposing of the hose box.
