FIG 9 General safety instructions

The water temperature must not exceed 45 °C.
When connecting the high-pressure cleaner to the water supply, the sanitary regulations specific to the country of use must be observed to prevent back- suction of non-potable water.
Please consult a sanitary engineer.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (safety gloves, safety helmet with visor and hearing protection

The maximum permissible pressure at the connection to the water supply is 6 bar.
Be careful when opening the spray gun. When using a flat or rotary nozzle, there may be a backlash when the gun is opened, in which the tube is loaded with torque.

The spray gun can be secured against unintentional opening by means of a lock.
WARNING! The product is not intended for spraying cleaning agents.
WARNING! Do not use the product within reach of persons unless they are wearing protective clothing.
WARNING! Do not aim the beam at yourself or other persons for cleaning clothing or footwear.
WARNING! Danger of explosion! Do not spray any flammable liquids.
WARNING! High pressure hoses, fittings and couplings are important for product safety. Use only accessories recommended by GARDENA (high-pressure hoses, fittings and couplings).
WARNING! To ensure the safety of the product, use only original spare parts approved by GARDENA.
WARNING! Water that flows through the check valve is not considered potable.
WARNING! Do not use the product if the supply lines or important parts are damaged, e.g. safety devices, high pressure hoses, spray guns.

Electrical safety

DANGER! Electric shock!
Risk of electric shock.

The product must be electrically powered via a residual current device (RCD)
with a maximum tripping current of 30 mA.

WARNING! Before cleaning, maintenance, when replacing parts, when the product is converted to another function, remove the battery.

Additional safety instructions
Safe handling of batteries

DANGER! Fire hazard!
The battery to be charged must be placed on a non-flammable, heat-
resistant and non-conductive surface during charging.
The connection contacts must not be short-circuited.

Keep corrosive, flammable and easily inflammable objects at a sufficient distance from the charger and battery.
The charger and battery must not be covered during charging.
If the charger starts to smoke or catch fire, unplug it immediately.
Use only the original GARDENA charger to charge the battery. Using other
chargers may lead to irreparable damage to the batteries or may even cause a fire.
Only use original GARDENA accumulators for GARDENA battery products.
Do not charge any foreign batteries. Danger of fire and explosion!
In case of fire: Extinguish the flames with oxygen-reducing extinguishing materials.

DANGER! Danger of explosion!
Protect batteries from heat and fire. Do not place the batteries on heating elements and do not leave them in strong sunlight for a long time. Do not operate them in explosive atmospheres, e.g. near flammable liquids, gases or dust deposits. When using batteries, sparks may occur, which may ignite dust or fumes.

Check the replaceable battery before each use. Perform a visual inspection of the battery before use. A battery that is no longer capable of functioning must be disposed of according to regulations. Do not mail it. You can get more information from your local collection yard.

Do not use the battery as a power supply for other products. Risk of injury. Only use the battery for designated GARDENA products.
Charge and use the batteries exclusively at ambient temperatures between 0 °C and 40 °C. Allow the battery to cool down after prolonged use.
Check the charging cable regularly for signs of damage and aging (brittleness). Only use a cable that is in perfect condition.
Under no circumstances should you store or transport batteries at temperatures above 45 °C or in direct sunlight. Ideally, the battery should be stored below 25°C to maintain low self-discharge.
Do not expose the battery to rain or moisture. If water gets into the battery, the risk of electric shock increases.
Keep the battery clean, especially the ventilation slots.
If the battery will not be used for a long time (winter), fully charge it to prevent it from being completely discharged.
Do not store the battery inserted in the product to prevent misuse and accidents.
Do not store the battery in areas where electrostatic discharges occur.

Electrical safety

DANGER! Cardiac arrest!
This product generates an electromagnetic field during operation. This field can affect the function of active or passive medical implants under certain conditions. To avoid dangerous situations that could lead to serious or fatal injuries, people with a medical implant should consult their doctor and the implant manufacturer before using the product.

In an emergency, remove the battery.
When the water tank is empty, turn off the product.

Personal safety

DANGER! Danger of suffocation!
Smaller parts can be easily swallowed. Small children are at risk of suffocation when using polyethylene bags. Children must stay at a sufficient distance during assembly.

Check the product before use.
Do not use a damaged product, especially if there are cracks on the body.
Attention: Do not leave the high-pressure cleaner on a slope.
Do not submerge the product.
Only operate the machine in daylight or good artificial lighting.
When cleaning painted surfaces, keep the beam distance min. 30 cm to avoid damage.
To avoid damage, do not clean car rims, paint or sensitive surfaces such as wood.

  DANGER!
Injury and product damage!

  • Pay attention to the weight of the product during transport.
  • Release pressure from the system before disconnecting the pressure hose from the pressure washer or spray gun.

Use personal protective equipment.
Always wear eye protection.
Protective equipment such as gloves, non-slip safety shoes or hearing protection, which are used for the appropriate conditions, reduce the risk of injury.
Keep nuts and bolts tightly tightened to ensure the product is in safe working condition.
Do not disassemble the product more than it was in the delivery state.
Warning! When wearing hearing protection and due to the noise produced by the product, the user may miss approaching persons.
During operation and transport, avoid putting other people at risk in particular.
Be alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when using power tools.
Do not use power tools if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.

A moment of inattention when working with power tools can lead to serious
injuries.
