INTRODUCTION

This Alecto BC-19 thermometer is a digital thermometer developed to take your temperature as simply and accurately as possible. In order to get the most reliable results, these instructions must be followed accurately. For the most accurate temperature reading, we recommend using the thermometer rectally. Although the generally accepted ‘normal’ temperature is 37.0°C, body temperature can vary from 36.1°C to 37.2°C.

Fluctuations in temperature can be due to activities such as sports, smoking, eating and drinking, and also depend on the part of the body where the temperature is taken. When measured orally, the body temperature is generally 0.5°C lower than when measured rectally, while a temperature measured under the armpit is 1.0°C lower. Your temperature is lower in the morning than in the evening.
