It is intended to help you to use the product correctly and safely. It is very important to read the instructions carefully before using the device. Intended use of the device
Forearm crutches are designed for use by people with limited mobility. They are used as an orthopedic aid to support balance, walking, sitting, and standing. The product is designed for indoor and outdoor use.

Indications
The product is intended for the elderly, people with limited mobility of the lumbar region, knees or hips, and for all those who have difficulties with standing and walking without an additional support point. The user is required to be able to balance independently while sitting and standing, as well as have adequate ability to move independently.

Contraindications
Do not use the product if you have problems with balance or perception or if you have insufficient muscle strength to maintain a standing position. The choice of an orthopedic aid adapted to the patient’s condition and needs must always be made by a medical specialist or physiotherapist.

The product can be used in home care, health and long-term care facilities, and hospitals.

Description

Product Description
The forearm crutch gives you a sense of security and fits very well in your hand thanks to the handle being made of soft-touch TPE. Since the forearm crutch is adjustable in length, it can be adjusted to the user’s height.

Assembly description
This device doesn’t require an assembly instruction.

Function description

Length adjustment
To adjust the length of the forearm crutch, first loosen the retaining ring by turning it counterclockwise. Once the ring is loose, fully press the locking button and slide the lower tube so that the button pops into a hole corresponding to the desired length. Lastly re-tighten the retaining ring.

WARNING! After adjustment and before use, make sure the retaining ring is tightened so that the unit is stable and there is no unintended movement. Failure to comply with this warning may result in personal injury.

Care and maintenance

Regular dirt can be removed with standard cleaning products and a sponge or soft rag. Check the specific product information and use only commercial cleaning products which are suitable for cleaning. For disinfection, use only disinfectants certified for use with medical devices available locally.

Despite the solid construction and the use of resistant materials, the product is subject to wear. It is therefore recommended to check the product at regular intervals by a professional service. We recommend the following:

• Cleaning and disinfection of the product
• Checking the frame for bends, damage, wear or corrosion
• Checking wear parts and replacing them if necessary
• General re-tightening of the components

Recommended service life : Normally 10 years, depending on use.
Storage: We recommend storage in a dry place in temperatures above 0 °C.

Transportation

The device should be transported in a stabilized and secured way with no risk of sudden or dangerous movements during transport.
Reuse
The product is suitable for reuse. Before a new user takes over the product, the device must be checked on a technical level and disinfected according to point 5.

Disposal of the product

The product can not be disposed of with household waste and must be brought to the local recycling center.

Guarantee terms

Mobilex A/S offers 2 years of warranty for damages caused by errors in production or material errors. The warranty is not valid by not-intended repair or usage of the product. Parts subject to normal wear are not covered by the warranty, unless wear is caused by a manufacturing fault. If product changes are made without our written acceptance the CE-marking and product warranty will not be valid. In the event of product damages covered by this warranty, please notify your dealer or Mobilex A/S directly. The warranty does not cover transport costs and does not include compensation for personal injuries or non-use of the product during repair. The warranty does not cover damages due to the user manual not being followed.

Declaration of conformity

The device has passed the conformity assessment per EU Regulation: MDR 2017/745 regarding medical devices and is CE-marked. A declaration of conformity has been issued for the device and is available at:
