The KMINA ADJUSTABLE BED RAIL is designed to prevent users from falling out of bed and provide additional support when getting in and out of bed. It is suitable for elderly, disabled, or injured individuals who require extra support while in bed.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Fully stretch the handrail (A) to start assembly.
  2. Insert the joint bar (B) into the end holes of the side bars (C) to create the lower structure.
  3. Connect the assembled structure with the handrail (A) using the locking knobs at one of its two heights until you hear a click indicating it is securely fixed.
  4. Attach the fabric cover (D) to the handrail (A) to complete the assembly of the folding bed rail.

Product Usage Instructions

Installation on the Bed

Slide the bed rail under the mattress, ensuring it is positioned correctly. It may be necessary to slightly lift the mattress to place the rail accurately. Push the rail all the way in until its outer edge aligns with the mattress edge. Ensure the rail is fully inserted under the mattress.

Positioning the Seat Belt

Adjust the length of the seat belt with the pin so that the distance between the rail and the metal stopper is approximately equal to the width of the mattress. Extend the red strap until the metal stopper is securely engaged with the mattress. Confirm that the rail is correctly positioned under the mattress and tighten it with the safety belt.

Instructions for Use

If additional security is needed, use the provided screws (E) to fasten the lower rails to the bed base by inserting them through both holes of each rail.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Fully stretch the railing (A) to begin assembly.
  2. Insert the joint bar (B) into the end holes of the side bars (C) to form the lower structure.
  3. Engage the newly assembled structure with the railing (A) using the locking knobs at one of its two heights until you hear the click that indicates that the railing is completely fixed.
  4. Finally, snap the fabric cover (D) onto the rail (A) to finish assembling the folding bed rail.

INSTALLATION

Installation on the bed. Slide the bed rail under the mattress as shown. It may be necessary to raise the mattress slightly to position the rail correctly. Push the rail all the way in until the outside of the rail is at the edge of the mattress. Make sure the rail is fully slid under the mattress.

Positioning the seat belt. Unfasten the seat belt and adjust the length with the pin so that the distance between the rail and the metal stopper is approximately equal to the width of the mattress. Stretch the red strap until the metal stopper is fully engaged with the mattress. Check that the rail is correctly slid under the mattress and tighten it securely with the safety belt.

If necessary, for added security, use the 4 screws (E) provided in the box to screw the lower rails to the bed base, inserting them through both holes of each rail.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Grasp the padded bar and the top bar with one hand and squeeze to unlock the bed rail. Once unlocked, the rail can be folded down to facilitate getting in and out of bed.

WARNINGS

  • Read the instructions carefully before use to ensure proper installation.
  • This product should only be installed by physically and mentally capable adults.
  • Do not use two bed rails together on the same side of the bed to avoid being trapped between the two bed rails. The bed rail can be used on both sides of the bed if necessary to assist in getting in or out of bed from either side.
  • The bed rail is for adult use only. It is NOT intended for use as a child safety system.
  • This product is to be used as a support. Do not allow the user’s full weight to fall on it. This bed rail is not a backrest.
  • Do not use this product if any parts are missing or broken. Regularly check that all materials are in good condition and that none are missing or broken. Regularly check that the rail is correctly fitted to the bed and that the safety system is working properly.
  • Do not use the bec rail without the cover. If the cover is being washed, keep an eye on the space between the bars. Do not put your head or any part of your body that could get caught between the bars.
  • The bed rail is designed to prevent falls from the bed and to help users with sufficient mobility to get in and out of bed. If the user suffers from an injury, illness or is taking medication, he/she should consult a doctor before using it.
  • If the bed rail is not used correctly, serious accidents can occur.
  • Do not exceed the maximum supported user weight of 250 lb.
  • Any serious incident related to the product should be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member State in which they are user and patient set.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Clean the bed rail with a damp cloth.
  • The polyester fabric cover can be hand washed.
  • Any replacement parts should be obtained from the manufacturer.
