3 CARE & MAINTENANCE
To keep this product in good condition and extend its lifespan, please follow these care and maintenance tips:
- Sharpen this product regularly using a sharpening stone or a honing steel. A sharp knife not only cuts better but is safer than a dull knife.
- Clean this product after each use and before storage. Hand wash it with warm water and mild soap, then rinse and dry it immediately. Do not wash it in the dishwasher or leave it in water or moisture for a long time.
- Store this product in a knife block or other storage system that keeps the blades separate and protected. Do not store it in a drawer or with other utensils that can damage the blade.
- Avoid using this product on hard surfaces that can damage the blade, such as glass, metal, or stone. Use a cutting board made of wood, plastic, or bamboo instead.
4 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Using a sharp knife requires caution and attention. Please follow these safety precautions to avoid injury or damage:
– Keep the knife away from children and pets. Do not leave the knife
unattended on the counter or table.
– Store the knife in a safe place, such as a knife block or a protective
sheath. Do not store the knife in a drawer or with other utensils that may
damage the blade or cause accidents.
– Use a cutting board when using the knife. Do not cut on hard surfaces, such
as glass, metal, or stone, that may dull the blade or damage the knife or the
surface.
– Wear gloves if you have sensitive skin or are allergic to metal. Do not use
the knife if you have cuts or wounds on your hands.
– Always cut away from yourself and your fingers. Do not use your fingers to
guide the knife or hold the food. Use the claw grip technique to hold the food
with your non-knife hand
– Do not use excessive force or speed when cutting. Let the sharpness of the
blade do the work and use smooth and steady motions.
– Do not use the knife for inappropriate tasks, such as prying, hammering, or
opening cans. Use the right tool for the right job.
– Handle the knife with care. Do not drop, throw, or bend the knife. Do not
use the knife as a lever or a screwdriver.
