I dont want to connect to car battery for parking monitoring, can i use a power bank instead via usb?
Yes, you can. But please make sure your power bank is 1.5A/5V or 2.5A/5V output.
Does the car charger support USB port for phone as well?
This car charger does not support usb ports for phones. If you need a usb charger, you could buy a dash cam step-down line to connect to your car, then you could use a usb phone charger
What kind of hardwire system do you need?
Mine came with everything I needed to hook it up to my lighter socket.I did not hardwire it to the battery. I did not need to buy anything but the SD card.
Do you need to run any wires for rear camera?
The wire is attached to rear camera. If it is too short you don't have to use it. But it helps in backing up. The wires are long enough for most cars and some small trucks with a short bed. You cannot add wire to the rear because it is different from normal wire You will also need an SD card if you want continuous recording and proof of recording.
Can I hard wire this camera?
Yes, you can hard wire this camera I did it. But then I decided to just buy an adapter and connected it to the rearview mirror.
What if my car doesn't have a cigarette lighter?
If your car does not have a cigarette lighter, please contact us to get a free USB power cable.
Does dash camera rotate to show driver and window?
It will rotate if securing nut is loose and depending on your windshield slope. If the slope is sharp or steep you may have to undue securing the nut and remove the camera, rotating and re-secure the nut.
Does the Camera need to be plugged in order to work? if not, how long is the battery life?
