PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

UHF band transmitter with PPL controlled carrier frequency. This type of transmitter is used for controlling devices for domestic use, automatic openings, ON-OFF light control, dimming, etc. This appliance transmits a rolling code type signal to guarantee maximum secrecy. The transmitter code can be stored in the receiver directly via the latter or via radio from the transmitter. With the second possibility you can add new transmitters to an existing system without having to touch the receiver. This can be done directly by the end user (the installer’s help is not required). The code is stored in the receiver’s EEPROM memory that retains it even if power is cut temporarily.

USE INFORMATIONS

The trasmitter is in no way protected against interference from other telecommunication equipment or systems (e.g. authorised radio systems working on the same frequency range). If you are having problems with its range of action, fix the transmitter up high. Change the battery if necessary.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES

  • Keep the transmitter out of the reach of children or animals.
  • Do not use the manual transmitter in places or where systems are sensitive to radio emissions (e.g. airports, hospitals).
  • Do not keep or use the manual transmitter in places that are damp, where there is steam, high air humidity, dust or where it is exposed to the direct rays of the sun or similar environmental conditions.
  • Store the transmitter in stable conditions; the fall can cause damage or a reduction in the range of action.

WARNINGS

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT INGEST THE BATTERY, DANGER OF CHEMICAL BURNS.

  • This product contains a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in as little as 2 hours and lead to death.
  • Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.
  • If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it out of the reach of children.
  • If you suspect that batteries have been swallowed or inserted into other body orifices, seek immediate medical attention.

WARNINGS

EXPLOSION HAZARD IF THE BATTERY IS SUBSTITUTED INCORRECTLY.

  • Replace the battery with a CR2430 type battery only.
  • Always wrap the battery up, both when it is being stored and when it is being disposed of. The battery should not come into contact with other metal objects as it could cause the battery to run down, catch fire or be damaged.
  • Dispose of damaged or finished batteries immediately in compliance with the law. To this end, contact the authorities for safeguarding the environment or the centre for disposing of waste materials in your area. Do not throw the battery away with household rubbish.

COMMAND FUNCTION

EXAMPLES OF COMMAND FUNCTION: TV-LINK

EXAMPLES OF COMMAND FUNCTION RTS

TRANSMITTER KEYS (see figure 1B)

The transmitter is equipped with seven command keys from CH1 to CH7, a CHT key for enabling the color wheel and two keys for selecting the protocol, TV-LINK end RTS. On the back there is also a hidden key P3 (see figure 1A) used for programming the receiver.

MULTI-TRANSMITTER FUNCTION (see figure 4)

The Transmitter is equipped with a total of 11 control groups, 6 for the TV- LINK protocol and 5 for the RTS one. When the transmitter transmits in RTS, number 6 remains lit together with the active group, if instead it is transmitting in TV-LINK, only the led relating to the active group will be lit. By pressing the TV key the transmission for TV-LINK is activated, with each subsequent pressure it will be possible to scroll through the control groups from 1 to 6. The same functions of the TV key apply also to the RTS key but the groups will only go from 1 to 5. The selection remains in the memory, even with the transmitter off, until the next change. Simply press a key of any channel to reactivate the last selection (group and protocol).

GROUPS LIMITING FUNCTION (see figure 1B)

Activation: Press the TV or RTS key according to which control groups you want to limit. Press it up to the maximum number of groups to be used and hold down the last time for 5 seconds. The limitation of the groups will be indicated by the flashing of the LEDs of the active groups. Deactivation: Press and hold TV o RTS for 5 seconds according to the limitation to be deactivated, all the LEDs will flash.

TOUCH COLOR WHEEL (only TV-LINK transmission)

The Transmitter is equipped with a touch sensitive color wheel. With compatible RGB light control units, and in TV-LINK mode only, it is possible to select the color by first enabling touch with the CHT key and then touching the color wheel on the desired colour.

STEP UP/DOWN COMMANDS (only in RTS transmission)

When the transmitter is set to RTS transmission, it is also possible to control lights and motors in “STEP” mode. By using these buttons, the longer the duration of the press, the greater the ‘open/close or dim +/- upon its release. The amount of “STEP” is displayed by gradually turning on the LEDs on the transmitter

CHANGING THE BATTERY

CLIP FOR WALL MOUNTING

A clip for wall mounting is also supplied with the transmitter. By using the tightening screw it is also possible to lock the remote control so that it cannot be removed (see figure 3 ).

GUARANTEE

The guarantee complies with the law. If the guarantee has to be used please refer to the specialized retailer. The right to the guarantee is applicable only for the country in which the manual transmitter was purchased. The batteries are not covered by the guarantee.

MEMORIZE,DELETE,COPY A TRANSMITTER
