INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before first use, remove any packaging and protective material (including any protective film) from the appliance and accessories. Wash tanks C and D in warm water with a suitable detergent, rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
INSTALLATION AND SETTINGS
-
Location
Place the coffee machine onto a flat and stable surface, near a socket.
Keep a minimum distance of 15 cm from any wall at all sides. -
Filling the tank with water
Remove water tank C, fill it with water (preferably lukewarm) and put it back (water level must be between MIN and MAX marks). Do not forget to remove the protective cap from the bottom of the tank before use! Do not fill water if the tank is in coffee machine device! -
Filling milk
Fill tank D with milk (observe MAX mark). Then connect tank D to the coffee machine using hose D3. -
Removing operational components
When you are removing parts which are used frequently when the coffee machine is in operation (e.g. when you are removing the coffee dregs, pouring away drip water, during maintenance, etc.), proceed as indicated in Fig. 1. Proceed in reverse order to put the components back. Drip tray I has a magnet, it is sufficient to put it onto the front section of the coffee machine. Connect the power cable E from the rear part of the coffee machine and then to the socket. -
Refilling coffee beans
Remove container lid A9 and fill coffee beans to container A8. Then put on the lid again. Make sure that the tank cover is always locked into place. Proper position of the cover protects, besides other things, the coffee beans from losing their aroma. However, only fill the tank with such a quantity of beans which is necessary approximately for one day. -
Setting the grind size
Caution When setting the grind size, make sure that the grinder is in operation (i.e. grinding) – never adjust the grind size while the grinder is idle!
You can adjust the grind size with the grind size knob A7. Turn the knob to the required grind size. There are 15 grinding levels on choice (1 = the finest grinding, 15 = the most coarse grinding). If you want your coffee to run down faster, e.g. because its taste is too strong for you, set the coarser level of grinding. On the contrary, if you want the coffee to run down more slowly (so as to obtain richer aroma and a stronger taste), set a finer level. However, if you set a fine grind size, your coffee might run down very slowly. The new settings will only become evident when you are making a third cup after the change. -
Rinsing the coffee maker
Rinse the coffee machine by pressing button B9 (cleaning function) at the first putting into operation or if the device has not been used for longer than 2 days. We recommend repeating this process several times in sequence. The rinsing process can be interrupted by pressing B9 at any time.
Note When flushing out the coffee machine, collect the water into the drip tray I or into a suitable cup. Empty the drip tray regularly.
Automatic rinsing of the coffee maker
If the coffee machine has not be used 4 hours or longer, it has been switched off using A1 switch (and/or disconnected from electric mains) and then switched on again using the main switch and then button B1 has been pressed, automatic rinsing operation (approx. 60 ml) will be activated, thus helping to maintain the device in good condition. At first, the coffee machine will be heated (B1 button is flashing), then the automatic rinsing operation will be started (hot water flowing from the coffee machine). The automatic rinsing operation can be interrupted by pressing B9 at any time. However, this function does not replace a thorough rinsing by means of the above-mentioned procedure, which is advisable to use time to time, so the water supply system is thoroughly rinsed. -
Automatic putting to sleep mode
After approx. 28 minutes of inactivity, the coffee machine will be automatically put to Sleep mode. Press B1 to put it to operation mode again.
OPERATION
First, connect the coffee machine to electric mains and switch A1 to position “I”. An acoustic signal will be issued, all buttons and icons on the control panel will be illuminated for a moment. Now the coffee machine can be switched on and used.
Remark
After approx. 28 minutes of inactivity, the coffee machine will be
automatically put to Sleep mode. Illuminated buttons and icons on the control
panel will go out. Press B1 to put it to standby mode again.

- When the coffee making process is finished, the coffee machine will switch to the stand-by mode.
Cup preheat
For an optimum coffee making process and better taste of your coffee, we
recommend that you preheat your cup by filling it with hot water first (e.g.
Using the button B7). After the cup has been preheated, pour the water away.
Adjusting the coffee spout A2
You can adjust the coffee spout to different cup sizes as per Fig. 1. When you
have a small espresso cup, move the spout downwards. For bigger cups, move the
spout upwards. If your glass is too tall, move the spout upwards and remove
the drip tray I temporarily.
MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance from power supply by taking the fork of the power cord out of the socket (except for operations which require the coffee machine to remain switched on)! Clean the appliance only when it is cooled down! Do not use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, scrapers, diluting agents or other solvents)! Components C, D, D1, G and H can be washed in dish washer (washing program maximum 50 °C).
IMPORTANT
To prevent formation of mould on coffee residues, regularly check and clean
all the components, including the brewing unit and the surrounding areas!
When cleaning the brewing unit and coffee dregs container, the PRODUCT must be
ON, otherwise the cycle count sensor will not reset.
-
Removable milk frothing unit A3
When milk frothing has been terminated (Cappuccino and Latte), the frothing unit must be rinsed thoroughly! This can be done by filling milk tank D with clean water and several activations of the milk frothing function (button B8). For thorough cleaning, the frothing unit can be removed from the coffee machine (fig. 1) and rinsed separately in flowing water. After maintenance, allow the frothing unit to dry and return it back using the reverse procedure. -
Coffee grinder A11
Coffee grinder must be disassembled and cleaned (fig. 2) regularly. First turn control A7 anticlockwise, up to the end (slightly behind grade 15). Then draw out the control upwards. Using swing out metal fixture, turn the interior coffee grinding unit anticlockwise and draw it upwards. Remove ground coffee remainders from the grinder (e.g. using vacuum cleaner). After maintenance, assemble the grinder using the reverse procedure. If the assembling procedure is correct, the parts easily fit into each other, no excessive force is necessary. -
Water tank C
We recommend that you clean the tank thoroughly and regularly (about once a week). Use regular washing-up liquid and then rinse the tank with clean water. So as to prevent build-up of scale deposits, we recommend that you also rinse the tank under running water once a day. -
Milk tank D
When milk frothing has been terminated (Cappuccino and Latte), all parts must be cleaned thoroughly! Wash them using standard dishwashing agent, then rise in clean water. Allow to dry.
Residual water tray G, coffee dregs container H and drip tray I
Disassemble the individual coffee machine components as per Fig. 1. Wash them with regular washing-up liquid, rinse them under running water and let them dry.
When signal lamp B14 lights on, coffee dregs must be removed. Wash the container H regularly. In addition to that, regularly empty and wash the residual water tray which absorbs additional moisture and liquid while the coffee dregs are shifting.
Pour out water from the drip tray on as-required basis. For hygienic reasons, clean the drip tray minimum once a week. -
Brewing unit F
THE PRODUCT MUST BE ON when cleaning the brewing unit.
You can remove the brewing unit and place it back as per the procedure shown in Fig. 1 (while re-attaching it, do not press the locking buttons – when mounted properly, the brewing unit will click). Wash the brewing unit under warm running water and allow it to dry thoroughly. Remove coffee remainders in the brewing unit and in the outlet using brush I. Wipe the cover E2 with a wet cloth and let it dry. -
DESCALING
The coffee machine needs to be descaled at regular intervals to avoid build-up of scale deposits. After 500 coffee preparation cycles, you will be prompted for descaling the coffee machine (light indicators of buttons B7 and B9 are flashing simultaneously). If you use hard water in your household, descaling should be carried our more often (e.g. once a month). Descaling increases the coffee machine service life and reduces the electricity costs. To descale the coffee machine, use regular liquid descaling agents for coffee machines and espresso machines.
Any other detergents could damage the materials in the coffee machine and/or might not work. Do not use vinegar or descaling agents based on formic acid, etc. If the descaling process has been interrupted (e. g. due to power shutdown), repeat the entire process before the next coffee machine operation. While descaling, the use of the coffee machine is blocked. The entire process takes about 10 minutes.
Descaling procedure
- Remove the water tank and fill it with the descaling agent (in recommended dissolution ratio for approx. 1 l solution) . Follow the instructions given by the manufacturer of the descaling agent.
- Put a suitable empty container (e.g. bigger cup) below the coffee outlet. The container will have to be emptied several times during the process.
- Press buttons B7 and B9 simultaneously and hold them for approx. 1 second.
- Sound signal will be issued and light indicators B2-B9 start flashing alternatively. The flashing will continue during the entire descaling process.
- The coffee machine will pump descaling agent solution into the interior tube system several times. The entire process takes approximately 11 minutes, required solution volume approx. 700 ml.
- After completion of the descaling process, a sound signal will be issued and the coffee machine will go to standby mode.
- Remove water tank C from the coffee machine, empty the rest of the descaling solution and rinse thoroughly.
Rinsing with clean water
- Leave an external bowl under the outflow, which you will need to empty (based on its size) repeatedly.
- Fill the water tank C up to the MAX mark and place it back into the coffee machine.
- Activate the cleaning function by pressing B9 button several times (at least 5 cleaning cycles are recommended). In this way, all residues of the descaling solution will be removed from the internal coffee machine system.
- Now the coffee machine is ready for use again.
More extensive maintenance or maintenance requiring intervention in the inner
parts of the appliance must be c arried out by professional service!
Failure to comply with the instructions of the manufacturer will lead to
expiration of the right to repair!
