USE OUTDOORS ONLY.
This appliance shall only be used with an LPG cylinder certified to AS2469.

IT MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO ATTEMPT TO FIT OTHER TYPES OF GAS CONTAINERS.
Only change the gas supply in a well ventilated location, preferably outside, away from people and any source of ignition, such as naked flames, pilot flames, and electric heaters/ equipment.
Only use in well ventilated areas to avoid the dangerous build up of unburned gases. This appliance is designed for use outdoors away from any inflammable material. The appliance must be used on a level, stable, non-flammable surface. The appliance should be protected from direct draughts. If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas) and you cannot stop the gas flow, remove the appliance to a well-ventilated location away from any ignition source. Check for leaks using soapy water. Do not try to detect leaks using a flame.

GAS INSTALLATION CODES

  • Heaters must be used in accordance with the installation requirements of your gas supply authority, or the Australian Standard AS/NZS 5601.
  • Heater is for use with bottled gas are labelled ‘Propane Gas’ or ‘ULPG’.
  • Check the gas type sticker attached to the heater.

CLEARANCES
Minimum Clearances from combustible materials must be:
Rear – 200mm
Sides – 200mm
Above – 500mm

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  • Only use the regulator assembly supplied with the appliance for direct connection to the cylinder.
  • DO NOT USE ADAPTORS.
  • DO NOT operate or store the appliance outdoors when raining. If exposed to rain tilt the appliance to allow any water ingress to escape.

IMPORTANT

  • Ensure the appliance is set up on a level ground.
  • Never block or cover any of the ventilation holes. If any of these are covered, poisonous CO and CO2 may built up to a hazardous level and may cause death.
  • Do not move the appliance while in use or when hot.
  • Before connecting and disconnecting to gas source, make sure burner control is in OFF position.
  • CAUTION: When the appliance is not in use, the gas must be turned off at the cylinder or the cartridge is disconnected.
  • Accessible parts may become hot. Keep young children away!

HOSE & REGULATOR SAFETY

  • The regulator and hose assembly supplied with the heater are suitable for Propane Gas.
  • A gas regulator adjusted to have an outlet pressure of 2.75kPa is supplied for connection to the propane gas cylinder. The pressure regulator and hose assembly supplied with the heater must be used. Replacement pressure regulators and hose assemblies must be those specified by the heater manufacturer.
  • When connecting the hose and regulator assembly to the gas cylinder, take care to avoid unnecessary twisting of the flexible hose.
  • After the assembly has been secured, turn on the gas and check for leaks by brushing a soap and water solution over all connections.
  • If you are unable to correct the leak by tightening the connections, turn off the gas and contact the supplier immediately.
  • Always ensure the heater is kept away from flammable materials and the gas cylinder clear of any heat source.
  • When changing over from an empty gas cylinder to a full one make sure this procedure is carried out in a well ventilated location, preferably outside, away from people and away from any sources of ignition; such as naked flames, pilot flames, electric heaters/equipment.

GAS CYLINDER USE & SAFETY

  • This is a low pressure portable camping heater and must only be used with the regulator supplied. Your heater is designed for use with 4.5Kg or 9Kg propane gas cylinders certified to AS 2469.
  • The gas cylinder should be filled by a reputable gas supplier and visually inspected and requalified at each filling.
  • Always keep cylinder in an upright position.
  • Always close the cylinder valve when the heater is not in use.
  • Do not subject gas cylinder to excessive heat.
  • NEVER STORE YOUR GAS CYLINDER INDOORS.
  • If you store your heater indoors, ALWAYS disconnect the gas cylinder first and store the cylinder safely outside.
  • Cylinders must be stored outdoors in a well ventilated area out of reach of children, and must not be stored in a building, garage or any other enclosed area.
  • Check the cylinder collar to ensure the test date status is current (10 years from date stamp).

LOCATION OF YOUR HEATER
DO NOT use your heater in garages, porches, sheds, breezeways, or other enclosed areas. Your heater is to be used OUTDOORS. The heater is not intended to be installed in or on recreational vehicles, caravans, mobile homes and/or boats and should not be placed near any surface that will burn. Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air around the heater housing.

PROTECT CHILDREN
Keep children away from heater during use and until heater has cooled after you have finished. Do not allow children to operate heater.
Always ensure that no sporting or physical activities are carried out in close proximity to the heater during use and while still hot.

TOOLS YOU WILL NEED

CHECK HEATER FOR ANY DAMAGE
Inspect heater before use. Contact your supplier for assistance regarding replacement of any damaged or missing parts. Do not assemble or operate a heater that appears damaged. Heater is for use with gas cylinders are labeled ‘Propane Gas’.
This appliance is designed to use an LCC27 gas cylinder.

IT MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO ATTEMPT TO FIT OTHER TYPES OF GAS CONTAINERS.
Check labeling at the gas connection on your heater.

GENERAL INFORMATION
CONNECTING & DISCONNECTING TO GAS SOURCE
Familiarise yourself with the general information and safety guidelines located at the front of this manual.

Check

  1. Gas cylinder is filled. A sloshing sound will heard when shaken. If gas cylinder is empty you will not hear any sloshing of liquid.
  2. The gas valve is in the ‘OFF’ position.

CONNECTING

  1. Ensure valve is in OFF position.
  2. Check for any damage to the cylinder connection.
  3. Attach the regulator to the cylinder valve.
  4. Use a soapy water solution to check the threaded connection. If bubbles appear the connection will need to be re-tightened.

IMPORTANT

IMPORTANT: Before connecting and disconnecting heater to gas source, make sure burner controls are in ‘OFF’ position. CAUTION: When the heater is not in use, the gas cylinder must be disconnected. Check that the seals between the appliance and the gas cylinder are in place and in good condition before connecting the gas cylinder.
Do not use this appliance if it has damaged or worn seals.

UNPACKING, SET UP & OPERATION

UNPACKING FOR FIRST USE

  1. Remove any transit protection material.
  2. For the 3 tile model open the battery case underneath and insert 1 x D battery.
  3. Close battery compartment securely. NOTE: the 2 tile model does not require any batteries or assembly.
  4. Your heater is now ready for your first use.

SET UP

  1. Position the heater 200mm away from any combustible surface.
    Always use in the outdoors never use indoors. NOTE: Never block or cover any of the ventilation holes. If any of these are covered, poisonous CO and CO2 may built up to a hazardous level and may cause death.

  2. Screw the hose to the heater.

  3. Screw the regulator to the cylinder.

  4. Avoid twisting or kinking the flexible hose.

  5. Open the cylinder valve and check all connections with soapy water and check for any leaks.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

2 TILE MODEL TO START

  1. Push in and turn gas control to “Low”.
  2. At the same time repeatedly push the piezo ignition button until the pilot lights.
  3. Continue to push in the gas control in for about 30 seconds.
  4. Release gas control and the pilot light and 1st tile should be lit.
  5. If not Leave for 2 minutes and re-try from step 2.

To operate second tile;

  1. Push knob in slightly and rotate to MAX.
  2. Second tile will ignite automatically.

TO STOP & PACK UP

  1. Turn off the gas cylinder valve OFF.
  2. Wait for the flame to go out.
  3. Rotate the gas control back to off.
  4. Remove the regulator from the cylinder.
  5. Remove the hose from the heater.
  6. Once heater has cooled store hose and regulator in the rear compartment of the heater.

3 TILE MODEL

TO START

  1. Push in and turn the gas control to “Low”.
  2. The electronic ingintion should be ticking/sparking.
  3. Continue to push the gas control in for about 30 seconds.
  4. Release gas valve and the pilot light and 1st tile should be lit.
  5. If not Leave for 2 minutes and re-try from step 2.

To Operate second and third tile;

  1. Push knob in slightly and rotate to MED.
  2. Second tile will ignite automatically.
  3. Push knob in slightly and rotate to MAX.
    2. Third tile will ignite automatically.

TO STOP & PACK UP

  1. Turn off the gas cylinder valve OFF.
  2. Wait for the flame to go out.
  3. Rotate the gas control back to off.
  4. Remove the regulator from the cylinder.
  5. Remove the hose from the heater.
  6. Once heater has cooled store hose and regulator in the rear compartment of the heater.

SAFE APPLIANCE LOCATIONS

  • This appliance shall only be used in an above ground open-air situation with natural ventilation,without stagnant areas, where gas leakage and products of combustion are rapidly dispersed by wind and natural convection.
  • Any enclosure in which the appliance is used shall comply with the following:
  • An enclosure with walls on all sides, but at least one permanent opening at ground level and no overhead cover.
  • Within a partial enclosure that includes an overhead cover and no more than two walls.
  • Within a partial enclosure that includes an overhead cover and more than two walls, the following will apply: at least 25% of the total wall area is completely open, and at least 30% of the remaining wall area is open and unrestricted.
  • In the case of balconies, at least 20% of the total wall area shall be and remain open and unrestricted.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Using warm soapy water with a mild detergent wipe down all surfaces and areas of the appliance, taking care not to allow water to enter the burner outlets or aeration holes located in the burner tube. DO NOT submerge the appliance in a sink or bowl.
DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or bleach.

IMPORTANT

  • Beware of spiders and wasps. Burner tube should be inspected and cleaned periodically.
  • This appliance must only be serviced by an authorised person.
