PERFECT AIRE QUICK CONNECT MINI-SPLIT SYSTEMS

Mini-splits are the most energy efficient alternative to window or portable air conditioners, and are easier to install than traditional central air conditioning units that require ductwork. The selfcontained system is perfect for home additions, garages, sun rooms, or any space that would benefit from supplemental cooling and heating. However, standard mini-split systems require an experienced HVAC professional to handle refrigerant and flared connections that are notorious for leaking. Enter the Quick Connect.
Perfect Aire Quick Connect minisplits were specifically developed to simplify the installation process, and eliminate the need to flare and vacuum refrigerant lines. Although designed with the experienced

DIY-er in mind, even seasoned professionals can benefit from Quick Connects by drastically shortening your installation time.
Quick Connect systems use a pre-vacuumed and charged line set that connects with mechanical connections instead of a standard flare connection. This connection prevents refrigerant leaks that are common with flared connections. The pre-charged line sets also eliminate the need to vacuum and charge the refrigerant on-site. Perfect Aire Quick Connect systems also include a pre- wired indoor head that simply plugs into the outdoor condenser, alleviating cross-wiring issues. Just connect the indoor unit and outdoor condenser, and you’re ready to go!

THE BENEFIT OF
INVERTER TECHNOLOGY
To control room temperatures and maintain desired settings, the inverter compressor only uses energy required rather than full power like a standard compressor. Once it turns on and reaches the desired setting, the inverter compressor will remain at that setting until more supply is needed. This prevents the unit from turning on and off frequently and uses different rotation speed to save energy and operate more quietly than standard compressors.

Zoned heating and cooling is easier than you think with a Perfect Aire Quick Connect Multi-Zone Mini-Split. Each system uses one outdoor condenser unit connected to up to three independently-controlled indoor air handlers. Hyper Heat performance offers consistent warmth in extremely cold environments, down to -13°F.
Multi-zone system components are sold separately to give you the most flexibility for installation. Choose the indoor units, condenser, and line set kit that work best for your unique needs.
Installation kit includes: mounting bracket and hardware; insulation; drain joint and rubber seal; (4) flare nuts; waterproof cord connector; remote control wall bracket; drain tube; duct seal; vinyl wrap; wall collar; (4) anti-vibration pads; FA09 adaptor (18k indoor model only).

PLANNING YOUR QUICK CONNECT MULTI-ZONE SYSTEM
1. Make sure you have adequate power to run the mini split system. Your Multi-zone system requires a 230V dual pole 30-amp breaker.
2. Determine the square foot of reach room and pick the appropriate indoor unit for that room. Oversizing is not always better. If the room is too small and the head is too large, the unit will short cycle and not remove the humidity from the room.

MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS
· Increase BTU 10% for sunny rooms. Decrease BTU 10% for shaded rooms
· Add 600 BTUs for each additional person over two
· Add 4,000 BTUs if unit is used in a kitchen

3. Determine where to install the indoor head in each room. An exterior wall works best. If it must be on an interior wall you may need a condensate pump to remove the condensation in the summer. This is sold separately.
4. Determine where the outdoor unit will be placed. · Try to place the outdoor unit centrally to all the indoor units. · Keep in mind you will need to run 230v power to the unit, so try to keep it close to your electrical panel in the house.
5. Calculate your line set length for each unit. Measure from the indoor unit down the wall and over to the outdoor unit. Make sure you measure the exact route you plan on running the line set from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit. For your convenience, we sell 15′ and 25′ line sets. Line set lengths can be extended in 15′ increments totaling 40′, 60′, and 70′ with our line set kits, which also include longer communication cabling. See page 14 for details.
