Perform the installation work properly according to this Installation
instruction so that the product can function well.
After installation, fully explain how to use it to your customer.
Cautions and warnings (Always observe these warnings. )
Before installation, read these “Cautions and warnings” carefully and attach
the equipment correctly. This manual uses various indications to guide safe
installation of the product and to prevent injury to customers or other people
and damage to property.
This product should be installed by a professional.
The indications and their meanings are as follows.

WARNING
Be sure to follow| ● Do not use any power supply other than the one specified
● Do not use damaged power cords, electric wiring, or connections
● Do not use power cords or electric wiring with loose connections
(Failure to do so may cause fire or electrical shock.)
● Do not install the power supply connection directly beneath the water supply
position, or allow the water supply hose to touch the power supply connection
(Condensation or the like could cause the power supply connection to become
wet, causing fire or electrical shock.)
● Do not strike, yank, twist, excessively bend, damage, alter, or heat the
power cord, electric wiring, and connections. Also, do not place anything
heavy on, bind, or pinch the power cord, electric wiring, and connections
(Using a damaged part may result in fire, electrical shock, heat, or a short
circuit.)
● Do not remove or install while the power is on or while water is supplied to
the main unit (Doing so may cause electrical shock or malfunction.)
● Do not install the product in open air, on slanted wall or in a place
exposed to thumping vibration
(The installation may become unstable and the product may fall and cause
injury.)
● In accordance with the laws and standards of the area where you use it, do
not use anything other than tap water or well water (Doing so may cause
irritation to the skin and malfunction.)
Be sure to follow| ● The installation has to be in accordance with the local
standard
● Always connect the product to the cold water supply (Failure to do so may
result in burns and equipment malfunction.)
● Be sure to hold the frame when carrying the product body (If you hold other
part, the product may be broken, resulting in injury, physical damage or water
leak.)
WARNING
| ● Check that an appropriate ground is installed
● For the ground, use copper wire with a ground resistance of no more than 100
and a diameter of at least 1/16” (1.6 mm)
● If there is no ground installed, ask the contractor who did the installation
to install the ground
(Failure to install a ground may result in electrical shock if there is a
malfunction or current leak.)
● Check that the connections of the power supply and electric wiring are
connected properly
● Be sure to connect to an earth leakage circuit breaker using power supply
equipment equipped with a ground
● Install this product in accordance with installation and electrical work
restrictions for the corresponding country
● If the wiring has not been completed, ask the contractor who did the
installation to do it (Otherwise, failure to do so may cause fire or
electrical shock.)
● Install the power supply equipment (device) and its connections at least
23-5/8” (0.6 m) away from the edge of the shower tub or bathtub (Otherwise,
failure to do so may cause fire or electrical shock.)
● If the power cord is damaged, avoid danger by having the manufacturer’s
repair department or equivalent specialist replace it (Otherwise, failure to
do so may cause electrical shock.)
● Check that the wires are connected properly (Otherwise, the device may
malfunction.)
● People other than technicians should never disassemble, repair, or alter the
product (Doing so may cause a malfunction, electrical shock, or injury.)

CAUTION
Prohibited| ● Do not fold or crush the water supply hose; do not damage by

(Doing so will cause water to spurt out.)
● Do not give direct to the product (Otherwise, the product may be
broken,resulting in injury,physical damage or water leak.)
Be sure to follow| ● Carry out the installation according to the Installation
Guide (Otherwise, failure to install properly it may cause water leaks,
electrical shock, or fire.)
● Be sure to use the included or specified parts for installation work
(Otherwise, the product may not be installed properly.)
Before Installing
Read these instructions thoroughly before beginning work.
Please leave these instructions with the customer. They contain important
maintenance and warranty information.
If necessary, remove the existing toilet.
Be sure to properly bleed all air from the piping system prior to using any
TOTO products. Trapped/compressed air can cause damage to the fl ushing system
and toilet bowl.
Framing support be should capable of suporting 880 lb load without damage to
the wall. When metal framing studs are used, rigid, non-flexing bracing
supports should be added to create a rigidity of the base. This will serve to
minimize any flexing observed in the finished wall from sitting to standing
and avoid cracks in the wall.

Refer to the following and confirm that no parts are missing.
The product may be slightly different in shape than the product shown in the figure depending on the model.
Procedure
Symbols and their meanings
- Visual confirmation required.
- Check that a sound was made.
- Mark the location.
- Wrap the sealing tape.
- Loosen a of A-1 and temporarily install A-1 on b. /
- Based on the finished floor, adjust the height of A-1 referring to the table. / Table: Dimensions measured from Finished Floor(inch)

- Tighten a of A-1 to fix the height of A-1.
- Make sure that A-1 and b are on the same plane.
- Mark pilot holes (c and d) in C-2 to b to secure A-1.
- Remove A-1 from b.
- To attach the water supply line, refer to the table and mark the location of the X from the finished floor to b to .(inch)

Make holes dia.1/8” (Ø 3) at c, d and f. For concrete, make a hole dia.3/8” (Ø 10) pilot holes for C-5.

Attach B-1 to the drain pipe. Note: The drainage function may be affected when the installation angle of the drainage pipe exceeds 45°.

Attach C-1 to the A-1 as shown below.

- To install A-1 on b and fix A-1 with C-2.
Make sure A-1 is level and flush with the front of the b trimmer (jack) studs.
- To install A-1 on b and fix A-1 with C-2.

Use C-4 to secure B-1 to C-1.
Attach B-1 to the sewage pipe. -
Plumb the water supply line and open the main supply valve.
Check for water leaks.
CAUTION
Required| It is important to reconfirm that there is no water leakage at all
connections.
Do not loosen or tamper with the copper fittings or joint connections.
Incomplete connection could cause foul odor or water to leak.
15. Do not remove the cover of the water supply pipe of the top unit.
16. 17. Before connecting the flexible hose to the fill valve, open the shutoff valve to let the water run for a minute or two.
After that, shut off the valve.

- Close the main supply valve.

- Locate the hole placement for mounting the toilet on the wall panel (cement board or plywood).
-
Align the toilet bowl mounting holes on the template with the holes in the wall where the toilet bowl will be installed. Trace out all the sections on the finish wall and remove the template.

Cut out all the traced sections.
-
Cut a 8-3/4”~8-7/8”(222~226 mm) x 5-1/3”~5-9/16”(136~140 mm) hole for the push plate.When working on the wall using mortar or the like,be sure to cover the cord so that it is not fixed in place.

Confirm that the toilet bowl flushing plug connector and top unitpower supply cord are protruding from the wall panel.

Make sure G-3 is closed and open the main supply valve.

- Refer to the Instatlation Guide enciosed with the push plate for information on the installation.
-
Lubricate deain with H-3 for easy installation.
Insert the H-1 into the drain port of the tank until it stops.
Place the edge of the ruler against the wail finishing surface and the top of H-1, Mark at the location shown.
Remove H-1 after marking the position shown.
H-2 follows the same procedure as above.
If the cut protective cover protrudes out of the wall, it could mean that the push plate has not been installed correctly which can cause potential damage and injuries. -
nsert the H-1 end with the gasket into the back of the toilet bowl.
Place the edge of the ruler against the full width of the back of the toilet bowl and the top of H-1.
Mark the position shown and remove H-1.
H-2 follows the same procedure as above -
Measure the distances “a” and “b” between the two lines marked on H-1 and H-2 in steps 45 and 46, as shown.
Add 1/4″ (3 mm) to the measured dimension to calculate the cut dimension.
Measure the calculated dimensions from the opposite edge of the H-1 and H-2 gaskets and mark the cut line.
Cut off the marked line with a hacksaw -
Bevel the cut surfaces of H-1 and H-2 as shown.

Insert H-1 into the drain port and H-2 into the water inlet.

The parts are used for installing toilet bowl. Please see the installation manual of toilet bowl.
Servicing Procedures
Servicing and / or Replacing the Flush Valve, Replacing the Auto Flush Unit
- Remove the splash guard and pull it out
- Close the shutoff valve in the tank, and then push the button on the actuator to flush the water.
- Push on the tab to remove the actuator.
- Disconnect the cable from the flush valve and wire tube from the hold-down bracket.
- Tilt the two pull-up rods of the flush valve to the right
- Remove the relay harness from the auto flush unit.
- Make sure that the cord does not get wet after removing it./ 7. Remove the hold-down bracket by pulling on the tab indicated. 8. Pull the snap fastener on the auto flush unit up as you slide it to the right. 9. Pull the flush valve up, and rotate the rods. 10. Rotate the whole unit as you pull it out 11. At the other end of the flush valve, the rubber piece can be removed for cleaning or to be replaced. 12. To install the parts back into the tank, do the reverse order.
Cleaning the Filter of the Fill Valve
- Remove the splash guard and pull it out
- Close the shutoff valve in the tank, and then push the button on the actuator to flush the water.
- Push on the tab to remove the actuator.
- Close the water shutoff valve, then disconnect the water supply hose.
- Disconnect the cable from the flush valve and wire tube from the hold-down bracket.
- Tilt the two pull-up rods of the flush valve to the right.
- Remove the relay harness from the auto flush unit.
- Make sure that the cord does not get wet after removing it 8. Remove the hold-down bracket by pulling on the tab indicated. 9. While pressing the ❶ snap button on the fill valve, ❷ take out the fill valve. 10. As shown in the figure, disassemble the fill valve, and then either clean the filter with water or use a brush to clean any dirt from it. 11. To install the parts back into the tank, do the reverse order.
Adjusting the Water Level in the Tank
- Remove the splash guard and pull it out.
- Close the shutoff valve in the tank, and then push the button on the actuator to flush the water.
- Push on the tab to remove the actuator
- Please adjust the water level in the tank according to the figure below.
- To install the parts back into the tank, do the reverse order
WARRANTY

TOTO warrants its In Wall Tank System (“Product”) to be free from defects in materials and workmanship during normal use when properly installed and serviced, for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase. This limited warranty is extended only to the ORIGINAL PUR- CHASER of the Product and is not transferable to any third party, including but not limited to any subsequent purchaser or owner of the Product. This warranty applies only to TOTO Product purchased and installed in North, Central and South America.

TOTO’s obligations under this warranty are limited to repair, replacement or other appropriate adjustment, at TOTO’s option, of the Product or parts found to be defective in normal use, provided that such Product was properly installed, used and serviced in accordance with instructions. TOTO reserves the right to make such inspections as may be necessary in order to determine the cause of the defect. TOTO will not charge for labor or parts in connection with warranty repairs or replacements. TOTO is not responsible for the cost of removal, return and/ or reinstallation of the Product.

This warranty does not apply to the following items:
a. Damage or loss sustained in a natural calamity such as fire, earthquake, flood, thunder, electrical storm, etc.
b, Damage or loss resulting from any accident, unreasonable use, misuse, abuse, negli- gence, or improper care, cleaning, or maintenance of the Product.
c. Damage or loss resulting from sediments or foreign matter contained in a water system.
d. Damage or loss resulting from improper installation or from installation of the Product in a harsh and/or hazardous environment, or improper removal, repair or modification of the Product. (NOTE: Product model codes allow a maximum of 80 PSI. Check local codes or standards for requirements).
e. Damage or loss resulting from electrical surges or lightning strikes or other acts which are not the fault of TOTO or which the Product is not specified to tolerate.
f. Damage or loss resulting from normal and customary wear and tear, such as gloss reduc- tion, scratching or fading over time due to use, cleaning practices or water or atmospheric conditions.
g. Tank flushing mechanisms of plastic or rubber moving parts.
h. Toilet seats of plastic, wood or metal. -
In order for this limited warranty to be valid, proof of purchase is required. TOTO encourages warranty registration upon purchase to create a record of Product ownership at http://www.totousa.com. Product registration is completely voluntary and failure to register will not diminish your limited warranty rights.

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE, PROVINCE TO PROVINCE OR COUNTRY TO COUN- TRY.

To obtain warranty repair service under this warranty, you must take the Product or deliver it prepaid to a TOTO service facility together with proof of purchase (original sales receipt) and a letter stating the problem, or contact a TOTO distributor or products service contractor, or write directly to TOTO U.S.A., INC., 1155 Southern Road, Morrow, GA 30260 678-466-1300 or (888) 295 8134, if outside the U.S.A. If, because of the size of the Product or nature of the defect, the Product cannot be returned to TOTO, receipt by TOTO of written notice of the defect together with proof of purchase (original sales receipt) shall constitute delivery. In such case, TOTO may choose to repair the Product at the purchaser’s location or pay to transport the Product to a service facility.
WARNING! TOTO shall not be responsible or liable for any failure of, or damage
to, this Product caused by either chloramines in the treatment of public water
supply or cleaners containing chlorine (calcium hypochlorite). NOTE: The use
of a high concentrate chlorine or chlorine related products can seriously
damage the fittings. This damage can cause leakage and serious property
damage.
THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY MADE BY TOTO. REPAIR, REPLACEMENT
OR OTHER APPROPRIATE ADJUSTMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE THE
EXCLUSIVE REMEDY AVAILABLE TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER. TOTO SHALL NOT BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF THE PRODUCT OR FOR OTHER INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CON-
SEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER, OR FOR
LABOR OR OTHER COSTS DUE TO INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL, OR COSTS OF REPAIRS BY
OTHERS, OR FOR ANY OTHER EXPENSE NOT SPECIFICALLY STATED ABOVE. IN NO EVENT
WILL TOTO’S RESPONSIBILITY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT. EXCEPT TO
THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING
THAT OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR USE OR FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE
EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN
IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR
