Safety notices

WARNING

  • Keep this device and the batteries out of reach of children.
  • Small parts can be swallowed by children (under three years old).
  • Batteries contain harmful acids and may be hazardous if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed, this can lead to serious internal burns and death within two hours. If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help immediately.
  • Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart, or recharged. Risk of explosion!
  • Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking. Make sure the polarities are correct. Never use a combination of old and new batteries together, nor batteries of different types. Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period of time.
    Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when handling leaking batteries!

CAUTION

  • Unauthorized repairs, alterations, or changes to the product are prohibited.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations, or shocks.
  • Clean the instrument with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
  • Only suitable for indoor use. Protect it from moisture!

Getting started

  • Remove the protective film from the display.
  • Fold out the stand (Fig.2-E). Open the battery compartment (Fig.2-F) and remove the battery insulation strips.
  • Close the battery compartment.
  • All LCD segments will be displayed for a short moment.
  • The device is ready for use.

Operation

Special features of the display

  • Due to the special “E-paper” display, all display changes have a reaction time of 1 second. The time interval between each keypress must be greater than 1 second.
  • To ensure display quality, the screen automatically switches between positive and negative display modes once every hour.

Manual settings

  • Press and hold the SET button (Fig.2-A) for 3 seconds to enter the setting mode.
  • The first adjustable value appears on the display.
  • Use the + or – button (Fig.2-H+G) to make the desired setting. Press and hold the + or – button in the respective setting mode for quick setting (in step 2).
  • Confirm with the SET button and go to the next setting.
  • The device will automatically quit the setting mode if no button is pressed for 30 seconds.
  • The sequence is shown as follows:
  • 24/12-hour format (default: 24H)
  • Year, month, day
  • Month/day sequence D/M or M/D (default D/M)
  • Hours, minutes
  •  Day-of-week language (default: GE)
  • Day-of-week language: German (GE), French (FR), Spanish (SP), Italian (IT), Dutch (DU), Danish (DA), English (EN).

Indication of maximum and minimum values

  • Press the + button (Fig.2-H) in normal mode.
  • MAX appears on the display. The maximum values measured since the last reset appear on the display.
  • Press the + button again.
  • MIN appears on the display. The minimum values measured since the last reset appear on the display.
  • To go back to the present value display, press the + button once more.
  • The device will automatically quit the MAX/MIN mode if no button is pressed for 10 seconds.
  • To clear the recorded maximum or minimum readings, press and hold the + button (Fig.2-H) for three seconds while the maximum or minimum values are displayed.

Display indications

  • With the SET button (Fig.2-A) you can toggle between date and weekday in normal mode.
  • Press the – button (Fig.2-G) in normal mode to change between °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) as temperature units.
  • In normal mode, press and hold the – button to switch between positive and negative display mode.

Comfort level

  • On the display appear 3 different faces to indicate the comfort level of indoor climate for temperature and humidity.
20…25°C 40…60% rH
<20, >25°C 40…60% rH
<40%, >60% rH

Positioning and fixing
You can choose between four different options:

  • With the foldable leg at the back (Fig.2-E), the device can be set up in various positions.
    The stand is properly latched when a click is heard.

  • Fasten the wall holder (Fig.2-C) with the self-adhesive foil at a suitable place and hang up the device.

  • Remove the wall holder and fix the device with the suspension device (Fig.2-D) on a nail or a screw.

  • Use the integrated magnet (Fig.2-B) at the back of the device to place it on metal surfaces.
    Avoid radiators and direct sunshine.

Battery replacement

  • When the batteries are used up, appear on the display.
  • Open the battery compartment (Fig.2-F) and insert two new CR2032 batteries, +pole above.
  • Close the battery compartment.
  • Note: If the batteries are removed while the product is operating, the screen will retain the display at the time the batteries were removed until the batteries are next inserted.
