· Warning: Injury could occur to the operator or the machine if used without the dust bag and/or filters in place. Do not use the machine without the dust bag and/or filters in place.
· Warning: Injury to the operator and/or damage to the machine could occur when cleaning on stairs, unless caution is used. Use extreme caution when cleaning on stairs.
· Warning: To reduce the risk of electrical shock, always use a 3-wire electrical system connected to the electrical ground. Whenever possible connect the machine to an outlet protected by a ground fault interrupter (GFCI). See “Grounding Instructions.”

120 Volt Machine Instructions For Connection To The Power Supply And The Electrical Ground (FOR DB4, DB7, AND DB24 MODELS)
This machine must be connected to the electrical ground to protect the operator from electrical shock. The machine has an approved power cord with three conductors and a plug with three terminals. Connect the plug to a receptacle that has three holes and is connected to the electrical ground. The green (or green and yellow) conductor in the cord is the ground wire. Never connect this wire to any terminal other than the ground terminal.
This machine uses a 120 volt AC 60 cycle electrical circuit. Make sure you have the correct frequency and voltage before connecting the power cord to an outlet. The machine has a plug as shown in Figure 1. If a receptacle connected to the electrical ground as shown in Figure 1 is not available, have one installed by an electrical contractor. Do not use an adapter.
· Warning: To reduce the risk of electrical shock, protect the machine from rain. Keep the machine in a dry area.
· Warning: To reduce the risk of electrical shock, always use a 3-wire electrical system connected to the electrical ground. Whenever possible connect the machine to an outlet protected by a ground fault interrupter (GFCI).
· Warning: Do not cut, remove or break the ground pin. If the outlet does not fit the plug, consult your electrical contractor.
· Warning: Have worn, cut or damaged cords and plugs replaced by an authorized service person.
· Warning: If it becomes necessary to use an extension cord to reach an electrical outlet, you must use one that is at least one size larger in wire size. Such as a power cord that is marked 12/3 would need to use an extension cord that is marked 10/3. Do not use an extension cord that is undersized.

IMPORTANT: Improper grounding method can result in a risk of electrical shock. This equipment shall not be used with any extension cord.

DB vacuums must be connected to a properly grounded outlet only. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding

provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of shock. DB vacuums are equipped with a cord

having an equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

In a double insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding

means is provided on a double insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to

the appliance. Servicing a double insulated appliance requires extreme care and

knowledge of the system, and should be done only by qualified service personnel.

Operation
This machine is a commercial vacuum designed for wet or dry pick up. And must be stored in a dry location.
· Machines with dual or triple vac motors can be run together or independently as the job requires. · Dry soil can be vacuumed directly into the tank or into a disposable paper bag fitted onto the vacuum inlet. · *Only for DB7 and DB24 models: For wet pick-up, remove polyester filter. The machine is equipped with a shut-off
float. As the tank is filled to capacity, a float rises and seals the vac intake, causing a loss of vacuum. Switch off the vacuum when this happens and bring the machine to a drain. · To empty the machine, either use the drain hose mounted on the back of the tank, or remove the motor head assembly and tilt the tank backwards on tipping models, or lift and dump out the contents of smaller units. · With both wet and dry applications be sure to frequently clean the filter. This is especially true when the vacuum is being used with strippers and floor finish. · To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, do not pick up liquids (DB3 and DB4 only).

After Use
1. Store the cord on the hook. 2. Store the appliance indoors, away from sources of heat. 3. This appliance is provided with an automatically reset thermal limiter to avoid damage to motor. If thermal limiter
operates do one or more of the following: · Change the bag. · Clean or replace the cartridge filter. · Check hose and tank inlet for any obstructions. · Wait a few minutes for the thermal limiter to re-close the circuit.

Servicing The Filter
The filter is accessed by lifting the head assembly off the tank. The Polyester filter assembly is easily removed by simply lifting the filter basket out of the tank. The cartridge filters they are removed very easily. First remove the filter retainer by turning the black knob 90 degrees counter- clockwise. The cartridge filter will then slide off of the support assembly.

· Be sure to frequently clean the filters.

· Allow filters to thoroughly air dry after washing them before returning them to the machine.

· Worn filters can affect vacuum performance. Replace the filters when they become worn out and normal cleaning will not restore vacuum performance.

Servicing The Vac Motor
Motor Replacement:

1. Disconnect power cord from power source.

2. To access the vac motor, remove the screws that attach the main cover to the head assembly and set thecover to one side.

3. Remove the screws that attach the inner cover to the head assembly and set aside.

4. Remove the carbon brush assembly by removing the 2 screws that attach it to the vac motor.

5. Slide off the carbon brush connector from the motor terminal.

6. Inspect armature commuator. If it is extremely pitted, grooved or not concentric then the motor will need to be replaced or sent to a qualified service center.

7. Reverse steps 6 through 4 to install new carbon brush and housing.

8. Repeat steps 4 through 7 for the other carbon brush.

9. Reverse steps 3 and 2 for re-assembly.

10. Test for proper operation.

Your new product from Dustbane Products Limited is covered by a full warranty from the date of purchase. This includes all new units and accessories (some exceptions apply) manufactured or supplied by Dustbane Products Limited and delivered to the original retail purchaser by an authorized Dustbane distributor.
Should your product have a defect in material or workmanship under normal use and care within the warranty period outlined below, Dustbane shall arrange to have the original product returned to our head office or to an authorized service center for repair, replacement or refund.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED
The provisions of this Warranty shall not apply to:

· any unit of Dustbane Equipment which has been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, use of inappropriate accessories, parts or chemicals, or service by an unauthorized Dustbane repair depot.

Machine de 120 volts Instructions pour la connexion à l’alimentation électrique et à la terre électrique (POUR LES MODÈLES DB4, DB7 ET DB24)
Cette machine doit être reliée à la terre électrique pour protéger l’opérateur contre les chocs électriques. La machine est équipée d’un cordon d’alimentation approuvé à trois conducteurs et d’une fiche à trois bornes. Branchez la fiche sur un réceptacle doté de trois trous et relié à la terre. Le conducteur vert (ou vert et jaune) du cordon est le fil de terre. Ne connectez jamais ce fil à une autre borne que celle de la terre..
Cette machine utilise un circuit électrique de 120 volts AC 60 cycles. Assurez-vous que vous disposez de la fréquence et de la tension correctes avant de brancher le cordon d’alimentation sur une prise. La machine est équipée d’une fiche comme indiqué à la Figure 1. Si vous ne disposez pas d’une prise reliée à la terre comme indiqué à la Figure 1, faites-en installer une par un électricien. N’utilisez pas d’adaptateur.
· Avertissement : Pour réduire le risque de choc électrique, protégez la machine de la pluie. Gardez la machine dans un endroit sec.
· Avertissement : Pour réduire le risque d’électrocution, utilisez toujours un système électrique à 3 fils relié à la terre. Dans la mesure du possible, connectez la machine à une prise protégée par un disjoncteur de fuite à la terre (GFCI).

Cette machine est un aspirateur commercial conçu pour le ramassage humide ou sec. Elle doit être stockée dans un endroit sec.

· Les sols secs peuvent être aspirés directement dans le réservoir ou dans un sac en papier jetable fixé sur l’entrée d’aspiration.

· *Uniquement pour les modèles DB7 et DB24 : Pour un ramassage humide, il faut retirer le filtre en polyester. La machine est équipée d’un flotteur d’arrêt. Lorsque le réservoir est rempli à pleine capacité, un flotteur se soulève et ferme l’entrée de l’aspirateur, ce qui entraîne une perte de vide. Arrêtez l’aspirateur lorsque cela se produit et amenez la machine à l’égout.
· Pour vider la machine, utilisez le tuyau de vidange monté à l’arrière du réservoir, retirez la tête du moteur et inclinez le réservoir vers l’arrière sur les modèles basculants, ou soulevez et videz le contenu des petites unités. Que ce soit pour les applications humides ou sèches, veillez à nettoyer fréquemment le filtre. Ceci est particulièrement vrai lorsque l’aspirateur est utilisé avec des décapants et de la finition pour plancher.
· Pour réduire le risque d’incendie, de choc électrique ou de blessure, ne pas ramasser de liquides (DB3 et DB4 uniquement).

Après utilisation
1. Rangez le cordon sur le crochet. 2. Rangez l’appareil à l’intérieur, loin des sources de chaleur. 3. Cet appareil est équipé d’un limiteur thermique à réarmement automatique pour éviter d’endommager le moteur. Si
le limiteur thermique fonctionne, effectuez une ou plusieurs des opérations suivantes : · Remplacer le sac · Nettoyer ou remplacer la cartouche filtrante · Vérifiez que le tuyau et l’entrée du réservoir ne sont pas obstrués.
Attendez quelques minutes pour que le limiteur thermique referme le circuit.

Entretien du filtre
On accède au filtre en soulevant l’ensemble de tête du réservoir. L’ensemble du filtre Polyester s’enlève facilement en soulevant simplement le panier du filtre hors du réservoir. Les filtres à cartouche s’enlèvent très facilement. Retirez d’abord le dispositif de retenue du filtre en tournant le bouton noir de 90 degrés dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre. Le filtre à cartouche glisse ensuite de l’ensemble de support.
· Veillez à nettoyer fréquemment les filtres.
· Laissez les filtres sécher à l’air libre après les avoir lavés avant de les remettre dans la machine.
· Les filtres usés peuvent affecter les performances de l’aspirateur. Remplacez les filtres lorsqu’ils sont usés et qu’un nettoyage normal ne permet pas de rétablir les performances de l’aspirateur.
Entretien du moteur d’aspiration
Remplacement du moteur :
4. Débranchez le cordon d’alimentation de la source de courant.
5. Pour accéder au moteur d’aspiration, retirez les vis qui fixent le couvercle principal à l’ensemble de la tête et mettez le couvercle de côté.
6. Retirez les vis qui fixent le couvercle intérieur au bloc moteur et mettez-le de côté.
7. Retirez le balai de charbon en enlevant les deux vis qui le fixent au moteur d’aspiration.
8. Retirez le connecteur du balai de charbon de la borne du moteur en le faisant glisser.
9. Inspectez le commutateur de l’induit. S’il est extrêmement piqué, rainuré ou non concentrique, le moteur doit être remplacé ou envoyé à un centre de service qualifié.
10. Inversez les étapes 6 à 4 pour installer le nouveau balai de charbon et son logement.
11. Répétez les étapes 4 à 7 pour l’autre balai de charbon.
12. Inversez les étapes 3 et 2 pour le réassemblage.
13. Vérifiez le bon fonctionnement.
