How to set up DIRECTV Genie Mini

Follow the guided setup screens on the TV connected to your Wireless Genie
Mini:
a. Return to the location where you set up your Wireless Genie Mini.
b. Wait two minutes or until the LEDs on the Wireless Video Bridge blink
green/blue.
c. Confirm that the Wireless Signal Strength icon displays three (3) GREEN
bars.
d. Confirm that the LED light on the front of the Wireless Genie Mini is
GREEN. If it’s not, see troubleshooting
instructions.
e. Then select Connect Now.
f. The Enter PIN screen will display after the connection countdown.
g. Using the Genie remote (RC71), enter the PIN you noted in Step 2 c.
Then select Add a New Location.
h. The new Wireless Genie Mini may display a flashing red LED and the screen
may flash gray intermittently during this setup step.
i. Return to the Genie HD DVR and select DONE on the Add a Client screen.
When exiting the Add a Client screen on the Genie HD DVR, you may get a momentary signal interruption on the TV connected to the Wireless Genie Mini. This is normal; you’ll see a clear picture shortly. If the Wireless Genie Mini attempts to download new software during this process, select OK Download. If it displays the Enter PIN screen again, enter the PIN.
