Product Usage Instructions

Preparation Before Use
Installation of Speakers:
Connect speakers (L/R) to each other using the supplied speaker cables:

  1. Remove the covers from both ends of the speaker cable.
  2. Lower the tabs on the speaker cable terminals on the back of the speaker and insert the speaker terminals (left channel) to connect the speakers (L/R) to each other.

Attach the Conversion Plug to the AC Adapter:

  1. Select a conversion plug according to the outlet shape.
  2. Align the lower tabs of the conversion plug with the recesses on the AC adapter body and install it.
  3. Slide the conversion plug until it clicks into place and attach it to the AC adapter.

Power Supply ON/OFF
Turning on the Product:

  1. Insert the AC adapter plug into the power input terminal.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into an outlet. The indicator LED lights up red.
  3. Press the power button to turn on the product. The indicator LED will light up or blink in different colors indicating power status.

Preparation before use

Installation of speakers

  • Before installing this product, place a scratch prevention sticker on the bottom of the speaker.
  • When installing this product, place it on a level surface.
  • Install the product in such a way that the left and right sides of the product are not mistaken.

Connecting speakers
Connect speakers (L/R) to each other using speaker cables.

  1. Remove the covers from both ends of the supplied speaker cable.
  2. Lower the tabs on the speaker cable terminals on the back of the speaker and insert the speaker cable.
    • Match the polarity of the speaker cable terminals (red terminals are for the right channel and black terminals are for the left channel) and connect the speakers (L/R) to each other.

Attach the conversion plug to the AC adapter
Attach a conversion plug to the AC adapter according to the shape of the outlet you are using.

  1. Select a conversion plug according to the outlet you are using.
  2. Align the lower tabs of the conversion plug with the recesses on the AC adapter body and install it.
  3. Slide the conversion plug until it clicks into place and attach it to the AC adapter.

Remove the conversion plug

  1. While pressing the PUSH button, slide and remove the conversion plug.

Power supply ON/OFF

Turning on the product

  1. Insert the AC adapter plug into the power input terminal.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into an outlet.
    • The indicator LED lights up red.
  3. Press the power button.
    • Power is turned on and the indicator LED lights/blinks as follows

Turning off the product

  1. Press and hold the power button (at least 2 seconds).

About wireless/wired connections

This product allows wireless connection via Bluetooth or wired connection using an audio cable depending on your environment.

Wired connection
For wired connection using an audio cable, read “Using Wired” (p. XX).

Using wirelessly

This product supports Bluetooth connectivity. It can be connected to Bluetooth devices such as smartphones/tablets.

Pairing a Bluetooth device

Read the user manual for the Bluetooth device. Place the Bluetooth device within 1 m (3.3′) of the product to perform pairing correctly. Please note that we cannot guarantee the operation of connected Bluetooth devices.

  1. Turn on the product.
  2. Press the power button to enter Bluetooth mode (indicator LED flashes blue ).
    • Each press of the power button toggles between AUX mode (indicator LED lights green) and Bluetooth mode (indicator LED flashes blue).
  3. Use your Bluetooth device to begin the pairing process and search for the product. When searching for this product, “AT-SP3X” will appear in the Bluetooth device.
    • For information about using your Bluetooth device, refer to the device’s user manual.
  4. Select “AT-SP3X” and register it to the Bluetooth device to be connected.
    • Some devices may ask for a passkey. In this case, enter “0000”. The passkey may also be called a passcode, PIN code, PIN number, or password.
    • The indicator LED lights up blue.

About pairing

When connecting a new Bluetooth device, you need to pair it with the product. Once the Bluetooth device and the product are paired, you do not need to pair them again. The product supports multi pairing, in which a connection history is saved. However, in the following cases you will need to pair again even if the Bluetooth device was paired once:

  • If the product is deleted from the Bluetooth deviceʼs connection history.
  • If the product is sent out for repair.
  • When this product is initialized
  • When the AC adapter is unplugged from the product

Connecting using multipoint

  1. Pair with the first Bluetooth device.
  2. Press the Connect button.
    • Indicator LED flashes blue.
  3. Pair with the second Bluetooth device.

Note

  • If the product does not connect, restart its power.
  • Up to two Bluetooth devices can be connected at the same time with multipoint. To connect a third Bluetooth device, disconnect one of the connected devices.
  • Music cannot be played back on two devices at the same time.

Listening to music

Before playing music from a Bluetooth device, make sure the volume on the product is turned to minimum.

  1. Press the power button to enter Bluetooth mode (indicator LED lights up blue).
    • Each press of the power button toggles between AUX mode (indicator LED lights green) and Bluetooth mode (indicator LED lights blue).
  2. Play music from Bluetooth devices.
  3. Turn the volume knob to adjust the volume.

Wired for use

It can be wired to turntables and other audio equipment.

Listening to music
Before playing music from an audio device, make sure the volume of the product is turned to minimum.

  1. Press the power button to enter AUX mode (indicator LED lights green).
    • Each press of the power button toggles between AUX mode (indicator LED lights green) and Bluetooth mode (indicator LED lights blue).
  2. Play music from audio devices.
  3. Turn the volume knob to adjust the volume.

Cleaning

Get into the habit of regularly cleaning the product to ensure that it will last for a long time. Do not use alcohol, paint thinners, or other solvents for cleaning purposes.

  • Use a dry cloth to clean the body.
  • Wipe away any perspiration or dirt from the cable with a dry cloth immediately after use. Failure to clean the cable may cause it to deteriorate and harden over time, resulting in malfunction.
  • If the cable terminals become dirty, wipe them with a dry cloth.

Note

  • For long-term storage, keep the product in a well-ventilated place without high temperatures and humidity.
