IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To prevent injury and property damage, please read this manual carefully and avoid misuse. If the appliance is not U1sed in the right way or the contents of this manual are ignored, serious damage and injury may result. Please pay attention to the following instructions.

Warnings

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental  capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

  2. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

  3. lf the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.

  4. Do not use AC voltages other than 220-240V as this may cause a fire. Do not use the power cord if it is damaged, as this may cause a fire or other disaster. (Do not process the power cord yourself, as improper twisting, placing it in a hot environment, stretching or tying it with external force may cause damage to the power cord and result in hazards)

  5. lf the power plug does not fit your power socket, do not use the appliance. Children must not play with the appliance. Children should only use this appliance under superv1s1on.

  6. To avoid scalds, do not touch or allow any part of your body to come into contact with the metal parts and heating surface of the appliance.

  7. Do not unplug as this may cause an electric shock.

  8. Never use the appliance near water sources or damp areas such as bathtubs, sinks, washing machines, damp basements, or swimming pools.

  9. Do not share the power plug in which the appliance is plugged with high-powered appliances to prevent fire hazards and overloading the power circuit.

  10. Unplug the appliance when it is not in use.

  11. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning it or installing or removing any parts

    ADDITIONAL SAFEGUARDS

  19. To avoid fire hazards, do not overload the power cord or socket the appliance is plugged into.

  20. To avoid overheating and power failure, do not drop, upturn, shake, or hit the appliance.

  21. The product should be used away from anything hot such as stoves and away from the edge of tables and other surfaces.

  22. Please do not use this machine for commercial purposes, as it is for home use only; commercial use is prohibited.

  23. Except for the first use, do not keep the appliance on for long periods without inserting ingredients.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product Overview

  1. Working indicator light: The light indicates that the appliance is heating. When the light is off, the appliance has stopped heating. The appliance functions in this on/off cycle.
  2. Power indicator light: The light indicates that the appliance is on. When the light is off, this indicates the appliance is off.
  3. Handle lock.

  7. The baking plates are made with food-safe materials and food-grade coatings.
  8. Base

Note: The baking plates will be hot after use. To avoid scalds, allow them to cool completely before cleaning.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Before the first use, wipe and clean the appliance using a soft, dry cloth.
  2. The baking trays are not detachable. You can heat the appliance for 5-10 minutes to remove unpleasant odors and sterilize the trays. Wipe and clean the appliance after it has cooled down completely.
  3. When operating the appliance, keep it at a distance of over 20cm from walls and the edge of the surface on which it is placed.
  4. ln the process of heating, steam or some smells may be emitted. A ticking sound after the expansion of the heating tube is normal and not a sign of product failure. The smells emitted by the appliance after heating will gradually disappear with use.
  5. It is normal for the outer shell of the appliance to become hot during the heating process. Because the appliance is baked with double-sided heating, so the surface will be relatively hot.
  6. The appliance is heated at a constant temperature that cannot be adjusted during use. You can place your sandwich in the appliance first and then plug it in to start toasting your sandwich.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place the dry and clean appliance on a flat surface.
  2. Close the appliance and connect the power. The appliance will start heating (pre-heating) as soon as the power plug is inserted into the power socket.
  3. When plugged in, the appliance’ s. two indicator lights will illuminate, indicating that the appliance is pre-heating. The green indicator light will turn off when the heating process is complete and the appliance will start to cool. Then, the two indicator lights will illuminate again and the appliance will heat and cool in a constant cycle.

MAKING A SANDWICH

  1. Power on the sandwich maker and pre-heat it. During the pre-heating process (about 150s), you can prepare your sandwich filling, such as slices of bread, ham, eggs, lettuce leaves, etc.
  2. After pre-heating, open the lid of the sandwich maker. Spread some butter on one side of two slices of bread and take one piece of bread and put the butter side down onto the baking pan. Then, put your prepared filling onto the slice of bread and cover it with the other slice of bread with the buttered side up. Finally, close the sandwich maker.
  3. When the heating process is complete, open the lid and remove your sandwich. Enjoy.
  4. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a slightly moistened cloth to ensure no oil or grease remains on the appliance.
  5. Do not clean the inside or outside surface of the appliance with an abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
  6. Use only water or gentle washing-up liquid to clean the appliance. Do not use any other chemical solution to clean the appliance.

Contact your local authority to learn about disposal and recycling. The appliance should be taken to your local collection point for recycling. Some collection points accept appliances free of charge.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. After use and before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket and wait for the appliance to cool down.
  2. Wipe the inside and edges of the baking plates with an absorbent paper towel or a soft cloth.
  3. Should any filling be difficult to remove, pour a little cooking oil onto the plate and wipe it off after five minutes when the filling has softened.
