Thank you and congratulations for choosing HOMEMATE Sandwich Maker. Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the product, as it contains important information that you may find helpful. Keep this instruction manual for future reference

Important safety instructions

NOTE: When operating, the non-stick baking surfaces and the lid become very hot.
Open the lid using handles only.

  1. The appliance should only be connected to an earthed socket. Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label. Any connection error will nullify the guarantee.

  2. To prevent against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plug or sandwich maker in water or other liquid.

  3. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner.

  4. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

  5. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.

  6. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.

  7. Always remove the plug from the wall socket when not in use and before cleaning.
    Allow to cool before cleaning and handling.

  8. Unplug the appliance from electrical outlet as soon as you have finished using it and before cleaning it.

  9. Warranty will not cover in case of electric shock, fire, injury etc.

  10. Place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface clear of any obstructions. Do not position or operate the appliance close to or underneath any wall-cupboards or hanging objects such as curtains or other inflammable materials.

  11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.

  12. Do not place sandwich maker on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

  13. To disconnect, grasp plug and remove from outlet. Never unplug by pulling the cord.

  14. Do not use outdoors.

  15. The appliance must be in supervision when in use or when near children. Supervision on a person with a physical or mental disability is required to prevent any misuse.

  16. This appliance is for household use only and not for commercial applications.

Short Cord Instruction

  • A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long extension cord.
  • Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
  • The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
  • The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
  • Wind up or restore the power cord to the storage compartment only after the waffle maker has cooled down completely

Before First Use

  • Before using for the first time, remove only packaging material. You may wish to keep the packaging for future use.
  • Before using for the first time, the baking surfaces should be cleaned with a moist cloth.
  • We recommend lightly greasing the baking surfaces when using for the first time.
  • You may notice a slight smoking or odor after plugging in your new sandwich maker.
    This is normal with appliances with heater and will not occur again later.

How to use the HOMEMATE sandwich maker model HOM -12I183

  1. Place the appliance on a flat surface and not against the wall or counter.

  2. Open the lid. Use a thin brush to spread the vegetable oil printed on both sides.

  3. Close the lid and plug in the sandwich maker. A red light comes on, indicating that the machine is in operation (the light stays on as long as the plug is plugged in).

  4. After 4-5 minutes, a green light will come on, indicating that the heating plate is hot.
    Place the bread slices on both sides (left and right) and place the sandwich filling of your choice on top. Then place the bread on top, close the lid, wait a moment until the green light goes out and start again. You will get a delicious yellow sandwich.

  5. If you want to eat the finished sandwich again, you can reheat it in the sandwich maker and it will taste just as good as before.

  6. When you are finished. unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and allow the appliance to cool before moving it or before cleaning the appliance.

Cleaning and care

  • Before cleaning, remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down with the baking plates open.
  • Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
  • Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft, slightly damp cloth only.
  • The non-stick coating can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth or a soft brush.
  • To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water.

Disposal

Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage;
this should only be done through public collection points.

Tuna Sandwich

Ingredients

2 cups Chopped onion.
¼ cups Oil (from canned tuna)
2 cups Tuna fish
½ cup Shredded pork
½ cup Diced bell pepper
1 cup Baby corn, cut crosswise
2 tsp Salt
4 tsp Granulated sugar
2 tbsp Lemon juice

Directions

  1. Fry the onions with oil in a microwave oven on high power (800 – 900 watts) for 6 minutes.
  2. Add all the ingredients except the lemon juice. Put the mixture together in the microwave oven on high power (800 – 900 watts), time 6 minutes (take out, stir after 4 minutes) and add lemon juice is the last.
  3. Spread the tuna filling on the bread and place another piece of bread on top before closing the lid. Bake the bread in the sandwich oven until golden brown.

White Sauce Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients

4 tbs Fresh butter
1/2 cup Onion cut into small cubes
6 tbsp All-purpose flour
3/4 cup Fresh milk
1 cup Steamed small diced potatoes
3/4 cup Cooked small quartered carrots
3/4 cup Small diced common beans
1/2 cup Sliced corn
1 cup Small diced chicken
1 1/2 cups Salt
1 1/2 cups Ground pepper
1 egg Yolk egg

Directions

  1. Fry the butter and onions in a microwave oven on high power (800 – 900 watts) for 4 minutes.
  2. Add wheat flour and fry it briefly with the onions. Then put all the ingredients together and mix them. Go into the microwave oven, use high power (800 – 900 watts) for 8 minutes.
  3. Remove and stir and continue microwaving for another 6 minutes until cooled. Then use it as a sandwich filling.

Chicken Mayonnaise Spread Sandwich

Ingredients

3/4 cup Mayonnaise
2-3 pcs Sweet pickles, cut into small cubes
1/2 head Coarsely chopped onion
1/2 tbsp Ground salt
1 1/2 cups Cooked shredded chicken
1/2 cup Chopped celery

Directions
Place all ingredients in a food processor. Blend well for about 10 seconds with the chopping head.
It is a sandwich filling with a mild flavor.

Mayonnaise (HOMEMADE MAYONNAISE)

Ingredients

1 egg Egg
1 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Mustard
2 tbsp Vinegar (or lemon juice)
1 cup Vegetable oil
2 tbsp Sweetened condensed milk
1/2 tsp Ground salt

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in food processor (put in only 1/3 cup oil at first). Use the chopping blade for 5 seconds.
  2. Pour 2/3 cup of oil into the pipe through the top of the lid of the machine while the motor is running.
  3. When the oil is completely filled, continue beating for about 10 seconds until the cream is smooth.

Triad Sandwich

Ingredients

4 sticks Crab sticks, torn into long strips
4 slices Ham
1 slice Coarsely chopped bacon
½ cup Mayonnaise
4 slices Sliced cheese
8 slices Bread

Directions

  1. Spread mayonnaise evenly on bread.
  2. Spread the crab sticks and bacon evenly before placing the ham and cheese on top.
  3. Place another piece of bread on top before closing the lid. Bake 4 pairs until golden and crisp.

Scrambled Egg Sandwich

Ingredients

2 eggs Egg
2 tsp (1 slice) Ham, cut into small pieces
2 slices Cheddar cheese, cut into small pieces
1/4 tsp Ground salt a little ground pepper
4 slices Bread

Directions

  1. Slightly beaten eggs before adding the rest of the ingredients, cover and microwave. Use the high power (800 – 900 watts) for 1 minute.
  2. Spread the scrambled egg filling evenly on the bread slice before covering it with another piece of bread.
  3. Bake the sandwiches in the oven until golden brown.
    Note: The ingredients for the filling can be changed to different flavors. You can use just cheese. Or add tomatoes, sausage, or salami. You can also use whole wheat bread instead of white bread as it offers more nutritional value and fiber.

Corn Sandwich

5 tbsp Butter
1 cup Chopped onion
1/4 cup Chopped carrots
1/2 cup Chopped straw mushrooms
3 tbsp Wheat flour
2 tbsp Granulated sugar
1/2 tsp Ground pepper
3/4 tsp Ground salt
1 3/4 cups Cooked corn
1/2 cup Chopped ham
1/4 cup Grated cheese
8 slices Bread

Directions

  1. Add butter, chopped onion, chopped carrot and chopped straw mushrooms. Stir in microwave on high power (800 – 900 watts) for 3 minutes until fragrant.

  2. Take out and stir the wheat flour dissolved in a little water, sugar, ground pepper and salt.
    Microwave on high power (800 – 900 watts) for 4-5 minutes.

  3. Take out, add the corn slices and chopped ham and mix well.

  4. Spread the resulting mixture on the bread. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and spread another piece of bread. Bake the sandwich in the oven until golden brown, about 4-5 pairs.
