Functioning
This device is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home system and communicates
with the Homematic IP radio protocol.
All system devices can be conveniently and individually configured with your
smartphone via the Homematic IP app. Alternatively, there is the possibility
of managing Homematic IP devices through the central CCU3 or in connection
with combined solutions with other brands. In the Homematic IP user manual you
will find the functions compatible with other components of the system.
With Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat you can regulate the room temperature of your smart home by the hour using the Homematic IP smartphone application depending on your needs. Individual temperature options can be conveniently configured via the app – with up to 3 configurable heating profiles and 13 variations per day. Alternatively, you can regulate the temperature intuitively on the device itself. With the additional Boost function you can heat the radiator quickly in a short time by opening the valve to the maximum.
Thanks to the adjustable display and the modern design of the housing, the radiator thermostat is suitable for any location in the house.
Open doors and windows are identified with the open window detector and, more precisely, with Homematic IP Contact for windows and doors. The room temperature automatically lowers so that energy is not wasted. When you close the windows, the comfort temperature is automatically restored.
The radiator thermostat is compatible with all common radiator valves and is very easy to install. To do this, it is not necessary to empty the water from the radiator or modify anything in the heating system. You will find all technical documents and updates and information on valve adapters at www .homematic-ip.com.
Instructions on operation
Please note that the regulation of the room temperature with the radiator thermostat in a twin-tube heating system has one supply and return pipe per radiator. If single-tube heating systems are used, strong variations in the set temperature can occur due to fluctuations in the supply temperature.
If you detect damage to the existing thermostat, valve or heating pipes, contact a heating expert.
Caution! Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Only change with batteries of the same or equivalent type. Batteries cannot be never recharged. Do not throw batteries into fire. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat. Do not short circuit the batteries. There is a danger of explosion!
Caution! When handling spent batteries, avoid contact with skin and eyes! Use appropriate gloves when removing dead batteries and debris from a device! If it comes into contact with the skin, rinse with plenty of water!
