Instructions
Moisture
- Push switch to the left.
- Insert probe deeply into soil reaching root level,keep probe close to plant.
Light
- Push switch to the center.
- Facing the light source,hold the meter next to the plant.
- Avoid touching sensing element located underneath gauge.
Soil PH
- Push switch to the right.
- Insert probe deeply into soil.
- A PH reading higher than 7 is alkaline,while a reading less than 7 is acidic.
Note: Most indoor plants prefer a slightly acidic soil with a PH between 6.5 and 7.Soil that is highly alkaline will case the leaves to lose their color and stunt the growth of the plant,acidic soil will cause the leaves to wilt and drop.
Important Notes
- The indicator will not move if the soil is too dry;if that,water the soil and test it after 15-20 minutes.
- Wipe the probe metal surface with a soft cloth before measuring.
- Do not leave the meter in the soil for over 1 hour.
- Do not use it to test water or other liquid.The meter only can be used to measure soil.
- Remove probe from soil and wipe clean after each use.
- Refer to the chart on the package for your plant’s watering needs.
