  • How do I access the IP Camera interface?
  • To access the interface, input the IP address into the browser’s address bar, install VideoPlayTool if needed, enter the default credentials, and click Login.
  • How can I adjust the colour settings on the camera?
  • You can adjust colour settings by clicking on the Color panel button and making adjustments in the Image Settings panel.

Program Features

  • Exposure – Adjust the shutter speed, automatic gain control (AGC), and defog settings.
  • Digital Wide Dynamic Range (D-WDR) – Provide clear images even under circumstances where backlight illumination can vary.
  • Back Light Compensation (BLC) – Adjust the exposure to properly display the subject in front of bright light sources.
  • White Balance – Adjust the colour temperature/image colour.
  • Day & Night – Adjust the level of ambient light that triggers the camera to switch between color and B/W modes.
  • Digital Noise Reduction – (DNR) Adjust for less interference on the screen in an area with low illumination.

Accessing the IP Camera Interface

Login Screen

  1. To access the IP Camera interface, input the IP address of the front-end device into the URL address bar of the Microsoft Edge browser (default IP address: 192.168.1.10).

  2. VideoPlayTool installation is required when the
    IP camera interface is first accessed. Follow the prompts to install VideoPlayTool.

  3. Refresh the page.

  4. In the following login screen, input the default Username (Default: admin) and Password (Default: Leave Blank).

  5. Click “Login” to proceed.

IP Camera Interface
Once within the IP Camera interface, the following tabs are made available:

  • Live – The Live tab provides the primary live camera feed and limited settings for adjusting the camera’s image.
  • Playback –The playback settings allow for full replay and review of the recorded video.
  • Alarm – Display all alarm notifications
  • Remote Setting – The Remote Setting tab allows for full configuration of the IP camera’s settings.
  • Local Setting – The Local Setting tab allows for search and review of programmed alarms.
  • Log Out – Press the Log out tab to log out completely of the IP camera interface.

Color Settings

To open the Color panel, click the button. The Image Settings panel allows for adjustment of the video image’s brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation.

  • Brightness – Adjust the brightness of the video image.
  • Contrast – Adjust the contrast of the video image.
  • Saturation – Adjust the saturation of the video image.
  • Hue – Adjust the Hue of the video image.

Playback Settings
The playback settings allow for full replay and review of recorded video.

  • PlayBack – Choose between Remote or Local playback.
  • Query Mode – Select to search for video by Name or by specific Time.
  • Type – Select the type of video or picture to search for.
  • Start Time – Select the beginning video recording time to search.
  • End Time – Select the ending video recording time to search.
  • Stream – Mainstream only.
  • Channel – Channel 1 only.

Alarm

Alarm Type
The alarm log records the camera’s alarm features. Displaying the alarm type, date, time, device, and channel. Use the checkboxes to select the alarm type to be displayed.

  • Prompt – Check the display operation log.

Remote Setting – Alarm

  • Intelligent Alert – Configure alerts.
  • Video Blind – Configure settings pertaining to camera being blinded (spray painted or covered).
  • Vehicle Detection – Configure vehicle detection.
  • Video Loss – Configure settings for loss of video.
  • Abnormal – Configure settings for abnormalities (IP conflicts, NetAbort).

Remote Setting – Alarm – Intelligent Alert

  • Enable – Toggle to enable.
  • Human Detect – Check to detect humans only.
  • Sensitivity – Select the sensitivity from Lowest to Highest (default = middle).
  • Rule – Select the area to monitor.
  • Period – Set the schedule to monitor.
  • MD Intervals – Set the desired intervals in seconds (default = 2 seconds).
  • Snapshot Channel – Default = 1.
  • PTZ Activation – Not supported.
  • Send Email – Check to send an alert using email.
  • FTP Upload – Check to send an alert to a FTP server.

  • Compression – Select between H.265 or H.265X.
  • Resolution – Select between 2MP, 4MP, or 5MP.
  • Frame Rate (fps) – Select the frames per second.
  • Bit Rate Type – Select between VBR or CBR.
  • Quality – Select between Worst and Best (default is good).
  • Bit Rate (Kb/S) – Set the Bit rate.
  • I Frame Interval – Set the I frame interval (default = 2).
  • Video/Audio – Check to record video or audio.
  • Static Encode Config – Select profile between Baseline, Main Profile, and High profile. High profile takes up more space for the stream, but the picture quality is better.

Transfer Policy

  • Adaptive – For lower bandwidth network. Preview screen automatically adjusts to sub stream.
  • Quality Preferred – For higher bandwidth network. Preview screen stays in mainstream.
  • Fluency Preferred – Changes the encoder settings and lowers the stream without reducing frame rate to ensure a smoother video.
  • Network Priority – Limits the users that can view the camera simultaneously. Users with higher bandwidth will take priority.

NetService displays the network services available. Double click each option listed below to configure:

  • IP Filter – Blacklist and Whitelist services.
  • DDNS – Configure dynamic DNS.
  • EMAIL – Use email to send alerts or other services.
  • NTP – Set the time server.
  • UPNP – Allows devices in your network to discover each other.
  • FTP – Configure the file server.
  • AlarmServer – Configure an alarm server.
  • RTSP – Real Time Streaming Protocol – used to stream camera video over network.
  • Cloud – Set up a third-party cloud provider.
  • Mobile reported – Not supported.
  • Serial pass-through – Configure RS232 settings.
  • Refresh – Reload current page.
