Installation
Power Connection
The HL-951T1-SWa can be powered by the factory preinstalled 3VDC lithium
battery (CR-2032) or by an external 4.5-13VDC output regulated adapter (not
included). When using an external power adapter with the HL-951T1-SWa, correct
polarity is imperative. Connect the transmitter’s red wire to the adapter’s
positive Output and the black wire to the adapter’s negative output.
NOTES:
- The power input range of the wired transmitter is 4.5-13VDC and is polarity sensitive. Connecting more than 13VDC or reversing the polarity will burn out the unit and void the warranty.
- Use only “regulated” adapters to power the wired transmitter.
- If using an external power adapter, the factory-installed lithium CR-2032 battery will serve as a backup in case of power interruption (Battery must be removed for external inline power-on switch).
- The LED indicator will flash slowly to indicate a low battery.
- If connected to an external power-on switch, it is suggested that you remove the battery to disable the built-in button so that it can only be controlled by the power-on switch (see Fig. 2).
Code Learning a New Transmitter Button:
- Enter programming mode and select the desired channel as described on pg. 1.
- While the LED is flashing, press the desired transmitter button to be leamed one time. The three horizontal bars of the receiver’s LED indicator will flash two times to indicate the transmitter button has been successfully learned and will automatically exit leaming mode. To learn further codes, re-enter programming mode and repeat.
NOTES:
- Do not press the selection button again after entering programming mode as this will take you to output mode programming.
- The indicator LED will fiash a maximum of 15 seconds. If no transmitter button is pressed during this time, the receiver will exit code programming mode, and the LED will turn off.
- If the code has already been learned, the indicator LED will slowly flash two dashes. The code will not be leaned a second time.
- One channel can leam the codes of a maximum of 99 transmitter buttons. If you attempt to lean an additional transmitter code, the earliest code learned will be deleted and the new code will be learned.
External Switch Connection
The wired transmitter can be controlled by its built-in button (see Fig. 1),
by an external N.O. switch” only (button, contact, or sensor, see Fig. 2), or
by both (Fig. 3). To disable the built-in button, the external switch must be
installed inline to the positive terminal of the power source with the battery
removed.
NOTES:
- Any wires not in use must be insulated to avoid a short-circuit.
- Do not let the red wire touch any other wire. Doing so may burn out the transmitter.
- For the HL-9511T1-SDQ, the DIP switches cannot be set to all ON or all OFF.
Switch not included
