Install the Antennas
Grip the base section of the antennas and tighten them securely. Position the antennas at a 45-degree angle for optimal downward Wi-Fi coverage.

Power the Device
Connect the access point to the PoE port of the PoE adapter using the provided Ethernet cable. Power up the PoE Adapter.

Pair the AP/RE
There are multiple methods to pair the AP/RE:

  • Method A: Press the WPS/Pair button on your router and also on the Cudy AP/RE until the LED turns solid.
  • Method B: Use an additional Ethernet cable to connect the LAN port of the PoE Adapter to a LAN port on the Cudy Mesh device. Wait for the LED to turn solid.
  • Method C: Connect your device to the AP/RE’s Wi-Fi network “Cudy-Outdoor”.

Check System Status via LED
Monitor the system status using the LED indicators for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Try the Newly Created Network
The password for the extended network will be the same as the original network by default. Connect to the new Wi-Fi networks created by the device.

  1. Q: How do I reset the device?
    A: To reset the device, locate the Reset button on the device and press it for 10 seconds until the LED indicators flash.

  2. Q: How can I update the firmware of the device?
    A: To update the firmware, visit the Cudy website at http://www.cudy.com/download and follow the instructions provided for firmware updates.

  3. Q: What should I do if I encounter connection issues with the device?
    A: If you experience connection problems, try resetting the device and re- pairing it with your network using one of the pairing methods mentioned in the user manual.

  • Method B – Plugging Cable:
    (Requires the router to support “Cudy Mesh”) Use an additional Ethernet cable to connect the LAN port of the PoE Adapter to a LAN port on the Cudy Mesh device. Wait for the LED to turn solid on.

Note: After set up the AP/RE, you may remove the extra Ethernet cable and the AP/RE will swtich to wireless backhaul automatically.

Method C – Via Config Page:
Connect your device to the AP/RE’s Wi-Fi “Cudy-Outdoor”.

Quick Installation Guide

  1. Install the antennas.

  2. Connect the AP/RE to the PoE port of the PoE adapter. Power up the adapter.

  3. Pair the AP/RE via method A, B, or C.
    Method A – Pressing Buttons: Press the WPS/Pair buttons on your router and Cudy AP/RE, and wait for the system indicator light to turn solid on.
    Method B – Plugging a Cable: (Requires a Cudy Mesh device as the gateway) Use an extra Ethernet cable to connect the LAN ports on the PoE Adapter and the Cudy Mesh device.
    Note: After the system indicator light to turn solid on, you may remove the extra Ethernet cable and the AP/RE will swtich to wireless backhaul automatically.
