Danfoss-7225-Anl-Pressure-Transmitter- \(3\) Danfoss-7225-Anl-Pressure-Transmitter- \(4\)

Type 722x-Anl

  • Patented quality product (patent no. DE 10 2015 015 941 B4)
  • Calibratable dual pressure sensor Type 722x-Anl (series) with 2 x 8 switchable measuring ranges, 2 automated output signals (32 devices in one), housing with pressure connection nozzle from impact-resistant plastic, with cable gland, underpressure or differential pressure of the air. The pressure measuring transducer automatically detects the required output type and converts the measurands into the required standard signal of 0–10 V or 4…20 mA (Automatic Output Switching).
  • It is used in the clean room, medical and filter technology, ventilation and air conditioning ducts, spray booths, large-scale catering facilities, for filter monitoring and level measurement or for triggering frequency converters. Media measured with this pressure measuring transducer are clean air (non-precipitating), or other gaseous, non-aggressive, non-combustible media.
  • Both pressure sensors with piezoresistive measuring element are temperature-compensated and guarantee a high level of reliability and accuracy. The device has a push-button for manual zero point matching as well as an offset potentiometer for correcting the final value. The sensor is factory-calibrated; an environmental precision adjustment by an expert is possible. The delivery includes a connection set ASD-06 (2 m connection hose, two pressure connection nipples, screws).

Automatic Output Switching

Patented analogue interface for automated output switching
(Patent no. DE 10 2015 015 941 B4)
Switching on the device will analyse the network connected to the outputs and set the relevant output type U or I.
If one of the outputs is detected as a current output, both outputs are configured as output type I. Using it as a mix of current and voltage output is not possible.
The status LED signals the detected output type.

  • Network resistance > 15 kiloohms => U output 0–10 V
  • Network resistance < 450 ohms => I output 4…20 mA

Manually adjusting the offset:
A potentiometer on the PCB is used to adjust the offset. When the system is delivered, the potentiometer is in centre position and lacquer-sealed.
The setting range is approx. ± 10% of the pressure range.
You can use a different reference point other than the zero point.

Automated zero point adjustment:

  1. To adjust the zero point, operate the device for at least 60 minutes.
  2. Connect the pressure inputs P(+) and P(-) with a hose (pressure difference = 0)
  3. To set the zero point, keep the AUTO Z push-button pressed for approx. 10 seconds.

The status LED on the PCB blinks in red to signal a request for matching. Following the countdown, the currently measured value is saved as an offset value and cannot be lost even at zero voltage.
The status LED acknowledges correct matching by switching to the output display (green or orange).

Please note:
Releasing the push button during countdown will cancel the zero-point adjustment!

Status-LED
The status LED on the PCB shows the current operating mode:

  • green ….. blinking ………. switching on the device
  • green ….. continuous light U output 0–10 V
  • orange …. continuous light I output 4…20 mA
  • red ……… blinking ……….AUTO Zero request

SUPPLY VOLTAGE :

  • For operating voltage reverse polarity protection, a one-way rectifier or reverse polarity protection diode is integrated in this device variant. This internal one-way rectifier also allows operating 0 – 10 V devices on AC supply voltage.
  • The output signal is to be tapped by a measuring instrument. Output voltage is measured her against zero potential (O V) of the input voltage!
  • When this device is operated on DC supply voltage, the operating voltage input UB+ is to be used for 15…36 V DC supply and UB – or GND for ground wire!
  • When several devices are supplied by one 24 V AC voltage supply, it is to be ensured that all ”positive“ operating voltage input terminals (+) of the field devices are connected with each other and all ”negative“ operating voltage input terminals (–) (= reference potential) are connected together (in-phase connection of field devices). All outputs of field devices must be referenced to the same potential!
  • In case of reversed polarity at one field device, a supply voltage short- circuit would be caused by that device. The consequential short-circuit current flowing through this field device may cause damage to it.
  • Therefore, pay attention to correct wiring! Danfoss-7225-Anl-Pressure-Transmitter- \(13\)

General notes
This device can be mounted in any position. The voltage output is short- circuit proof. Applying overvoltage at the voltage output will destroy this device. Pressure ranges are indicated on the device label. Applying measuring pressures beyond that range will cause mismeasurements and increased deviations or may destroy the device.

  • Attention! When leading in cables, make sure, they do not go under the board.
This might buckle or damage hose connections!

  • Pressure inputs are “poled“ i.e. the above-atmospheric pressure line must be connected at input P+ and the below-atmospheric pressure line must be connected at input P–.

  • At an adjusting element, the output signal can be offset by ± 10 % of the final value of the measuring range. In this way, possible ageing or drift effects can be compensated.

  • If this device is operated beyond the specified range, all warranty claims are forfeited.

Our “General Terms and Conditions for Business“ together with the “General Conditions for the Supply of Products and Services of the Electrical and Electronics Industry“ (ZVEI conditions) including supplementary clause “Extended Retention of Title“ apply as the exclusive terms and conditions.
