OPERATION

  1. With the devices disconnected from the power supply, connect the monitor or projector to the output of the receiver using an HDMI cable. And connect the audio/video player (DVD, BluRay, computer, etc.) to the input of the transmitter via HDMI cable.
    • NOTE: it is recommended that you use HDMI cables of the shortest possible length to reduce signal loss caused by the cable.
  2. Install the Cat 6 or higher data cable and connect both ends to the CAT ports. 6 transmitter and receiver.
  3. OPTIONAL
    • Use IR extenders to control the device that generates the video signal with your remote from the monitor position.
    • Insert the extender jack connector identified as TX into the IR OUT connector of the transmitter. Position this in front of the IR receiver on the device.
    • Insert the extender jack connector identified as RX into the IR IN connector of the transmitter. And place the remote in a visible place so that you can point the remote control.
  4. Use the supplied power adapter. The receiver will be powered via a data cable. In long cable runs it may be necessary to power the receiver as well. To do this, use a power adapter of the same characteristics 5 V DC, 0.5 A.
  5. Turn on the devices connected to the transmitter and receiver.
  6. Additional settings:
    • RESET: press this button to adjust the signal according to the length of the cable used.
    • RESOLUTION: Long press the 720p/1080p button to change the image resolution between 720p and 1080p.

    • LINK INDICATOR: indicator light of the status of the connection between transmitter and receiver. Lights up to indicate successful connection. If it is not turned on, check that the data cable is correct, has no damage, the connectors do not come out of the ports, the pinout is adequate and its length does not exceed the recommended length (60 meters maximum for 1080p@60Hz signals). Finally, press the RESET button to restart the connection.

IMPORTANT – DATA CABLE

The pinout of both ends of the cable should follow IEEE-568B:

  • High-quality Cat 6 cables with FTP/SFTP shielding are recommended. Cables should have shielded connectors with the cable shielding connected to the connector shield.
  • This improves the reliability of the HDMI extenders, avoiding ground loops caused by interconnecting devices (player/receiver and TV) with different ground references which may cause loss or break-up of the image.
